We hadn't been to Janwiches in awhile due to service and food quality. Decided to give it another try, boy, what a mistake. This place sucks, not sure why anyone goes there. They are slow, rude, and the food is just nasty. People were waiting for over 30 minutes and had called their order in prior. The smell of weed rolled out the order window, they tried to short us two orders, then still managed to get the order wrong after pointing it out. What a waste of money and time. This place is so friendly and easy to order from. I only deducted a star because they quit serving the French Dip and it was by far the best sandwich I'd ever had! It was my go-to, now when I order, the club sandwich is really good and the big salad is always fresh and good. If you love homemade lemonade it doesn't get better than the one here!!!! read more

This is one of my favorite lunch spots when I'm at work. If you would like fresh deli sandwich this is the place to go. The veggies on every sandwich are very fresh. This establishment is very unique. You order at a window and pickup at another window. The seating is an outdoor covered patio. I love the feel of this place. The staff here is awesome, they are starting to know me by name. I ordered the clubwhich which is turkey,ham,bacon, lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, and mayo on wheat bread. Today was one of the not so nicest encounters. I Normally enjoy this quick pit stop with my lunch buddy . The cashier called the wrong order and when we received The BigSalad it appeared to be thrown together . It was chunked up and the eggs seems to be days old this not the normal standard we usually get. The Manager on Duty thought it was funny that we wanted to complain and stated that we should be okay since we got a refund and kept apologizing to Sherry another staff member when she was not the one who received such poor service. I frequented Janwiches all the time back when Jan and Jim owned it. Now under the new ownership the quality and the amount of the food is not near what it was previously. My go to sandwich was the roast beefwich. Now, it's on a much smaller roll and there is literally one thin slice of roast beef on it. The combo was almost $11. The sandwiches were not bad. The BLT was a basic sandwich on wonder bread like you make at home. The club was pretty good. The grilled chicken wrap had a good flavor but the chicken was dry. The potato salad was awesome. But the service was really the problem. I didn't time it but it seemed to take a very long time to get three sandwiches considering there was only one other customer. Then we got two and had to wait longer for the third. But the real kicker was when we got back to the car and realized we didn't get the chips that I definitely heard my husband order. I popped back up to ask for them and had three different people behind the counter asking me who I placed my order with and telling me I didn't order chips. I mean really what's a bag of chips? Don't drive by- make this a lunch stop now! We passed Janwiches on our way through Augusta and bookmarked to stop on the way home. So glad we did!! Location- tucked away at an intersection on the way to 520 this simple but sturdy lunch stand is order and pick up at the window. Menus are in a holder next to the window. Lunch crowd is mostly local - near an industry plant and and some local industry park offices. Great, friendly service and no nonsense. Credit and cash accepted. If you want to eat on site, you can sit at the picnic benches on the porch. Covered in case of rain but definitely a picnic on the spot. One restroom clean and basic. Order at one window then move to the pick up side. We got ours to go and decided to eat in the car - styro containers have all you need. Food - I cannot rave enough! We got one Janwich combo and one Beefwich combo - if I could have packed away more food I would. The Janwich is a mayo based chicken salad- Grandma Mimi's recipe as quoted on the menu. It is packed with chicken salad on white bread, tangy with a little sweetness, lettuce and tomato, and plenty of chicken and ALL the tastes. I won't even try to guess ingredients bc this "secret"recipe is worth every bite. The combo comes with a choice of a side, a fountain drink, and a stuffed chocolate chip cookie. So worth the price. Sandwiches are around $5-6 by themselves - I would upgrade to the combo because the extras are worth it. We chose potato salad on one and it was perfect. New potatoes cooked just right, not mushy made with mayo, seasonings, and definite hints of bacon we suspected. Delicious. The other combo, the Beefwich, is a good helping of roast beef, wasabi mayo, lettuce tomato on a hefty ciabatta roll. You can upgrade any sandwich with ciabatta for an extra 1.50 if you wish. The Beefwich comes with it. It was brilliant. The wasabi mayo gives it a good horseradishy bite which compliments the thinly sliced beef. We both agreed each sandwich showcased itself. We ended up splitting half and half so we could try both. Finally, went for the Janade - a mix of half and half like an Arnold Palmer. Loved the name. It is sweet but heck you are in the South so live a little. Finally, what other yelpers raved- the stuffed chocolate chip cookie was perfection. Not too big - actually on the small side but after your sandwich combo you are on the full side so this rounds out your meal perfectly. We were so grateful for the stop and loved the convenience of grab and go for food on the go. Keep in mind they keep lunch hours only so get there before 2 so you can get your order and not roll in at last minute for closing time. We will definitely be back! read more

They are back open and the food is just as god if not better. Convenient to some of the plants if your work near buy and fairly quick with peeping your food. Food was fresh and very delicious. I'm glad to see this place back open and will probably be eating here a few times a week. read more

Great place for a quick lunch. Great service with very friendly people. I like everything I have ordered at Janwiches, but I particularly like their coleslaw. I am pretty picky about my coleslaw but theirs is probably the best I have ever had. Oh yes and I CANNOT forget the incredible cookies. The chocolate chip cookies have a filling that is to die for!
