We got the Winter Green (w/o marshmallow) and Gin The Rough. We preferred the gin drink as it was as tasty as it was pretty to look at. Winter green was a delicious boozy hot chocolate drink, but it is very filling. We had fun playing and appreciated the fact there were multiple holes to play despite it being a smaller space. One of my friends had a day of Saturday side quests to celebrate her birthday and we ended up at Big Mini Putt Club to finish out the day. To know me is to know I LOVE mini putt. I don't get competitive about much but get me on the mini putt course and watch out lol. The bar was putting out some really good drinks. There wasn't food on site but they did have a good window and one of the local bars would deliver food to you. It was typical pub food so nothing special but it did the trick if you're hungry . The course is 9-holes and takes up much of the west side of the establishment. There are tabletops close to the bar and some high tops near the window for people watching. The course was well put together and challenging enough but not so much that you won't enjoy yourself. I'd come back for another night out. There were quite a few couples going out on dates. Popped in here randomly on a night out and did not regret. Very close to many other bars but very unique. Mini golf is super cute, not very big but good for about 30-45min. Very cutely decorated, a lot of seating, and they have other games like Nintendo N64 and Jenga. Staff were very nice and service at the bar was quick and efficient. We recently came here for a private event for a kid's birthday party on a weekend early afternoon! It was such a fun experience for the kiddos and adults who stayed at the party to hang out. The putt putt course was super fun for the kiddos and they were able to go around a few times. By the end of the party, we witnessed a couple hole in ones! The drinks were great and they had TVs to show the sporting events happening that time. Staff was flexible (and kind to the loud group of kiddos) and nice to work with as a party attendee. Ok when I first walked in, it smelled a little musty. So that immediately made me question everything. But I am happy to report that this place was fun! And a wonderful alternative for an indoor activity during the winter months. There were couples, friends, families, kids, yet it didn't feel saturated. Whenever we did have to wait for a turn, they had games in between, a photo booth, and plenty of drinks to choose from. They could totally have more options of games/activities in between turns. It needs more holes too! It felt so short. The employee at the entrance was friendly and she had our clubs and balls ready to go and gave a quick run down. Bartenders were nice as well. You get to do one final shot to see if you win something and I won a free drink! Coming back for sure. read more

Just celebrated my birthday here over the weekend and it was pretty fun! The way you make reservations is in groups of 4. They are very accommodating to help keep your big group together (mine had 16 people). And it was no problem adding an extra 2 people to my reservation. The vibes inside are fun! They seem strict in their sign up emails but in person they are nice and inviting. We had so much fun at Big Mini! My husband and I went for an early date around 12pm on a Saturday. When we arrived it was near empty which we didn't mind at all. We did the mini golf and the holes were all unique and very fun. It did not take us very long to get through it, but I think that's mainly because we didn't have to wait at all. We got a few different drinks at the bar and they truly have a surprisingly diverse cocktail menu. From cocktails and beer on draft, to specialty mixed drinks, and a full bar in general, there is something for everyone. Afterwards we played some retro video games, followed by some xl jenga and connect four. While they don't have food it looks like people were getting things delivered. Make sure you book in advance on weekends because earlier tee times get full quickly. There are only 9 holes, so try and drag it out a bit or you will be done fast. There are small games like tic tac toe and connect four to do before or after you golf. There is no dim lighting so everyone can see you while you're playing. Solid.I was looking forward to trying this place out for a while and explained to friends it was a bar with a putt putt course rather than a putt putt course with a bar. Being there on a Saturday I was surprised by how many children (ages 2-5) were there. It definitely changed the vibe and made it more of a putt putt course that has a bar. The course is better than I expected, both fun and challenging. The drink pricing would be more understandable if it were adults only, but they were made well. Such a great little experience. Went with some Chicas to celebrate a birthday. Lots of laughter and an awesome time. The set up is pretty cool. There were a couple shots that seem impossible and took us FOREVER but when you're with the right people, it's just a fantastic time. This was a super fun place! There aren't too many indoor mini golfing places in Chicago, so Big Mini Putt Club was one of the very few options near me. This particular place is located in Wicker Park and is fairly spacious on the inside. There's only 9 holes in 1 game so you could easily do more than 1 round, but my boyfriend and I just opted in for 1. Check-in was super easy; we booked a reservation and time slot in advance and when we arrived we were given a number to wait for a little bit. In the meantime, we got a drink at the bar. Loveeee the whole mini golf & drinking concept! It wasn't long before we got called over and handed our golf clubs and golf ball (you get to pick your own that's a different color so you know which one's yours on the course). I will say, it definitely gets pretty crowded during peak hours on the weekend, so expect to feel like there's nowhere to go sometimes on the course. The course itself is fun and slightly challenging, but probably easy if you golf regularly. This place is kind of better for groups instead of just 2 people. I honestly only saw groups of people there; my boyfriend and I agreed while it was a really fun time, we think this type of shindig is better with a group of friends! On a different note, the service here was phenomenal. This was such a fun time!!!!! We arrived for our 10:30pm reservation on a Thursday and the place was almost empty. I was a bit shocked since the weather was great and the windows open up, so some tables feel like they're outside. We checked in and got our clubs and golf ball, we also all got a drink at the bar. I went with the tipsy spritz and it was tasty & refreshing! Since it was empty, we had the entire course to ourselves and could go at our own pace. They also do a food partnership with Big & Littles next door- they will bring your food right to your table! I was easily able to grab a seat at that bar on an early Sunday afternoon. Such a fun putt putt spot in Wicker Park! I've been here a couple times with friends and everyone always has a good time. I've had reservations both times and haven't had to wait long after walking in, just enough time to grab a drink and get settled. It's about $12 a person for 9 holes, which is a great deal! And they have a variety of drinks to enjoy while playing. You can only play in groups of 4, but you can book multiple groups back to back, which is what we've done when having a larger group and it works just fine. The course is fun and definitely has some challenging holes. It's taken us about 45 minutes to play a full game, but you can go at your own pace. But if you go too fast, you might end up waiting for the people ahead of you to finish the hole before you can start. Overall, a really fun activity with friends! While trying to think of a place I could celebrate my birthday that would be appropriate for my baby and also my friends with their babies, I remembered Big Mini Putt Club. My wife set up a little party on a Sunday afternoon, where we figured it wouldn't be too busy, and it was great since we could bring our own food. They have party packages available that come with unlimited drinks for a set amount of time, or a few drink tokens, but since it was a Sunday and we're all in our upper 30s we decided to just reserve times like a normal visitor and just claim a few tables when we arrived. This pretty much worked out perfectly. My wife brought chips, had a bunch of White Castle delivered, and brought in a cake for me. A few of my friends have slightly older kids, and it was great having an activity for them to do. The mini golf course only takes a half hour or so to play. It's not overly difficult, but there are a couple tricky holes. They have some cocktails on tap that rotate with the season, so it was fun to try them and compare them with what my friends ordered. The only real downside is whatever employee was in charge of the mini golf that day. Didn't catch her name, but she sure acted like being at Big Mini Putt Club was the last place on earth she wanted to be at, and took it out on my friends and family. Look, it's not our fault that the directions on how to sign up to play aren't printed on a sign or anything like that. Maybe rather than be rude to us you take some initiative at your job and buy some posters to write up some instructions, then we wouldn't have to interact with you so much. I'm always a fan of places that are drinking+activities, and bring your own food is fun too if you plan ahead. I'd recommend BMPC, just hope you don't run into an employee on a bad day. read more

We looked around the area to kill time and arrived without a reservation as soon as it opened. No other players were there (Thursday at 4 pm) and it was so relaxing having the place to ourselves.
