THIS PLACE IS THE WORST SERVICE CENTER…read more Firstly we went in and paid over $1000 for 4 tires and an oil change. Mind you this price was during their "Tire sale" Cut to a day later, our car is spewing loads of smoke out the back and into the interior cabin. Call them, they claim they did nothing wrong to the car and didnt mess with anything other than the tires and oil change. Upon closer inspection the canister purge valve had been knocked loose and there was clearly greasy fingerprints from where someone had tried to force it back into place improperly. Shady practices from something clearly tampered with. Cut to a couple months later, our tires are leaking air. search for holes, objects, anything. No signs of anything so i call them up as i am well within my warranty time and mileage. I am rudely talked AT on the phone and told that the warranty only covers "things that were their fault" and seems very accusatory basically insinuating that i did something to the tire. Bring it in, low and behold, it was an improper seal around the tire, being their fault. The thing that irritated me the most from this visit though is the fact im currently waiting for a motor for my drivers side window. it was up, i would have gladly told them not to roll it down, if i thought for a second that my going in for tires warranted that information in any way. to make a long story short they rolled it down, and were unable to get it back up and basically told us that they weren't going to try to get it back up, and that it wasn't their problem as its their "policy" to roll the window down. i have since taken photos of the inside of the building, checked their websites, looked up any bit of information i can and i havent seen this "policy" posted anywhere for a customer to be able to see. otherwise i would have informed them, hey maybe roll one of the other 3 windows down since i had to go to a COMPETENT service center now and pay $87 just to get the window back up because you messed it up out of sheer stupidity. Not to mention he refused to offer the slightest bit of help on getting the window up that he lowered, forcing us to drive home with our 5mo old in his carseat in the cold. The service center is garbage. The customer service is trash. They will lie and say what they need to, in efforts to cover their own asses when they mess up. Their management is a joke. They just need to shut down and let a worth while service center go in that location.

AAA members be aware. Full story written below. Here is my story with the Ankeny All Pro Service center, I will try to explain with due fairness. I was returning from a wedding in KC to my home in WI when just outside of Des Moines my truck broke down, had it towed to All Pro (since it is a AAA approved repair facility). I got a call from Ryan at All Pro the following Monday saying they had my truck and were starting diagnostics. Their evaluation was that one of the cylinders had a faulty ignition coil due to there being no firing in said cylinder. Agreed to replace all ignition coils with their belief this would fix the issue. Unfortunately it did not and they still were getting zero pressure in the same cylinder, at this point Ryan made the determination that a new engine was needed. This seemed excessive to me but to the best my knowledge Ryan made the right call, I have no evidence to show otherwise. When a used engine arrived they were able to get it installed with only one additional part needed. Total cost of everything totaled about $9300. During this process I do appreciate the communication and working with my warranty company to get as much of the expense covered as possible. Ryan at the time was dealing with all kinds of phone and shop power issues due to a storm that knocked out power and phone lines, which is rough! Once it was repaired I made the 9hr round trip to pick up the truck and was happy to have it back, the two things I noticed off the bat was that the interior smelled of cigarette smoke and that I could smell burning oil from outside the vehicle after the engine was warmed up. It took me about a month to get rid of the cigarette smell, very annoying but honestly if someone wants to smoke that's their choice and I won't fault them for it. The burning oil smell I chalked up to engine replacement and some oil being spilled and it would just have to burn off over time. Unfortunately this was not the case- started seeing oil spots where I parked the truck and upon checking the oil saw it slowly start dropping over only a few hundred miles. When I was able to get it into my trusted local Dodge dealership they noticed 2 things. 1st there are multiple oil leaks from various areas on the engine, bad enough that it will need 1 or more quarts of oil between oil changes and definitely should be fixed. 2nd All Pro did not reinstall all components, hoses, etc. correctly. My dealership found a bolt missing, plastic brackets broken, loose hoses and tubing, a couple of other issues. As they stated it was a "sloppy" job and poorly done. Right now they are currently writing up the paperwork for everything they believe needs repairs or replacements. I called All Pro as soon as I got the news, the response I received was that since the engine was used, it carried only a 30 day warranty and since that time had passed there was nothing they could do for me. In my invoice it's stated "Warranty is 2 years or 24,000 unless specified otherwise", would have been nice to see in writing that it was only 30 days and not just told over the phone. Shame on me for not asking for that. During the call, before I could get to the issue of it being poorly installed I was told "have a good day Joe" and hung up on. In fairness I was frustrated and trying to explain that frustration in depth to the individual I was talking to, I can understand why he thought the conversation was going nowhere and hung up. I am unsure of how much the oil leaks and other damaged items will cost but I will edit with a final update.

I just had the alternator replaced and DEF tank replaced at Bob Brown Chevrolet. Wouldn't you know it, it's the alternator and the turbo. I really appreciated Josh and the technician who were just honest with me, time to say goodbye to my beloved car. The cost of replacing the turbo, plus the fight I have to go through with Bob Brown isn't worth it. I hate dealerships, but had no choice for the first repairs, finding a mechanic to work on this car, besides the dealership has been hard. I will bring every car I own to this Midas. 10/10

I left and came back within the 30 min and still waited another 20 before it was pulled into the bay. The assistant manager shoed me the price for the oil change which was $100, had i not been on time crunch and needed the tire looked at i would've left. I was told that they would not be able to patch my tire as it was damaged too close to the side which was fine and I opted to go ahead and get new tires since I already knew I would need to soon. I noticed on the estimate where she showed me the tire price that it was recommended for my serpentine belt to be changed, at this point I was already there for an hour and I told her if that need done then I guess do it since I was leaving for Tennessee the next day. She stated it would be another 2 hours and I took a walk and came back after 20min and I said something about my windshield washer fluid and she said oh yeah mechanic said it's cracked and I said no the pump pops out, I asked if they actually looked to see if it was cracked and was told no. I was told my oil was empty and my power steering fluid was low. I asked if everything was topped off and was told yes. As I'm sitting there and she told me that they got the wrong size belt and then got another wrong size and then she needed to order it from Omaha. She said she would call me when it came in. I was there for 3.5 hours for basically an oil change and new tires. As I was leaving my trailblazer was whining which I knew my power steering fluid was empty. When I got home my son on law and I were changing the bushing for my washer fluid and noticed that my belt is still in good condition. I was charged $300 for the belt to be changed. We returned to Midas this morning so I could get a refund and to have my power steering fluid to be filled since that had not been done. We asked why it was recommended that my belt to be changed and the manager said he did not know and he was going to follow up. I asked him if he looked at the belt and he said no, did you want me too? I told him nevermind. I told him I never had an issue when Rich worked there, Rich was always honest with me. I will never go back.
