My father is a mechanic so I grew up around cars and learned to take them apart completely and reassemble them. There are some projects though that I can't do myself due to lack of lift, or lack of the proper tools, or just lack of time where it would take me much longer than the shop would. I have been to several other mechanics before and there are a few that like to think I am dumb and suggest repairs that aren't necessary or don't even make sense. But Williamson's is NOT that shop. I trust these guys with any and every vehicle I own. Example, I took my 1998 Grand Prix GTP with a major power steering leak to one "nameless" shop and they told me I needed a whole new rack for $1,800. I took it to Williamsons and they spent some time doing some research and found a place in Des Moines that custom makes the pressure hose I needed (since General Motors doesn't make a replacement) and they ordered the hose and had it installed that day for $189. Call them up, and ask for Lance. He has more knowledge that anyone I know. Don't hesitate to trust them with you car needs. read more

I've been a customer of Keith's for several years now after getting routinely burned at chain shops. I look at some of the reviews out here and am a bit surprised. The guys at Williamson's follow a very strict troubleshooting process that helps them stay certified in their line of work and their shop out of trouble (since they are accountable for their work). They may not be the cheapest in every aspect compared to other shops; however, I've found that the quality of the repair and part stock is superior. If ever something wasn't correct after repair, they fixed it for FREE without argument. They've been a part of my "maintenance routine" from engine tear downs, to tires/suspension work, to fluid changes and safety checks. They are some of the most honest people I've dealt with and have always gone out of their way to make my maintenance issues less of an impact to my life. Williamson's Repair & Tire in Bondurant replaced my front rotors and pads. After dropping my truck off I received a shuttle ride home and they picked me up when the repair work was done. Communication from the tech was quick and informative (he called with an estimate for the brakes and informed me of other issues he found). They were installed for a fair price and in a timely manor. After driving my truck for a couple of days, I could tell the work was done right. (My truck braked perfectly.) I will be returning for other maintenance and repairs. A job Well Done! First time using Williamson's. Sent my truck in for a diagnostic and possible repair and was given results in detail which was great and done quickly. Only gripe would be the estimated cost of repair $470 for a quick $25 part repair seemed a little high granted $170 for the daig.. otherwise clean shop, friendly service and vehicle was put back the way it came in. I have dealt with Keith and his staff for several years and have always been treated fairly. Needing to have your car repaired is not fun and paying for repairs never comes at a good time and we want to pay the least we can. That said, we need to know the shop will be there the next time we need a repair. All shops need to charge enough to keep trained staff and make a profit. The staff are very personable, knowledgeable; and attentive to customer service. I asked if I could have an estimate, based on my driving patterns, how long I could safely drive with my tires. Without charge, Williamson's made a reasonable estimate based on current tread wear so I could plan for that expense in the future. Decided to try Williamson's after a number of positive reviews on another site. Called them and they were able to get our Impala in and diagnosis it and fix it all in the same day. They were very friendly. They did find some other issues with our car, but did not say that they needed fixed that day, which I truly appreciate. We will definitely be going back. read more
