My tire light came on while I was traveling to Arizona. I was near Nephi so I stopped in at this Big O location. They found my problem and took care of it faster than the promised/estimated time. I couldn't have been luckier. They have a corner full of toys that made the wait enjoyable for my toddler and the chairs in the waiting area are better than any I've encountered in any other waiting area anywhere! So comfy. Also a big tv to watch and free WiFi. Most importantly they fixed my tire problem and got me back on the road safely. read more

This shop has repeatedly been very good to us, even when our warranty company was an endless nightmare to deal with (and we are talking mutliple instances, from a flat on the way through town, to engine work, to a full engine replacement). To say that Rocky, Zach, and the others at Big O saved the day would be an understatement. My boyfriend and I got into a wreck just south of Nephi and as we got on back on the road the car was vibrating violently. Since we were headed south anyways we thought we would get it checked in Scipio or Fillmore. Boy were we wrong every tire place was either closed or unable to help with the issue so we googled the nearest Big O. We call to see if they can help us before driving 35+ miles in the wrong direction. Rocky answer super quick and let us know they would be happy to help. 45 minutes later we pull up and Zach is ready to help us. Never have I seen such speedy work. Wow. Super fast and efficient!! We got a flat on our. Travel trailer about 2 miles North of Nehpi, my man changed the tire on the side of the hwy- no easy task with semi trucks zooming by. We were soo pleased to see Big O at the next off ramp, to get a new tire and put the spare back in its place. The did the switch in record speed. If I could give negative stars I would. I took a company truck here and requested an oil change. Never even changed the oil. Took another company truck here was told it had a blown head gasket, guess what BIG O. It just needed a water pump?! You call yourselves mechanics. What ever you do, do not take anything here. I was driving home from Saint George and my tire sensors were telling my back tire was at 11 so I took it into big o to see if they would look at it and put air in it. The only thing they did was put air into it and they told me I would be fine. So this morning I was on my way to Logan and on the way MY TIRE popped due to having a leak and I had to get a whole new tire. DONT BE LAZY AND DO YOUR FREAKING JOB. This place was great!! I broke my front axil on my Lifted Dodge Ram out camping in the mountains near by. I dropped the truck off with Ean, and went for lunch next store at Wendy's. Passing through Nephi from Salt Lake City late March 2022 on my way to a family wedding in California, the engine splash shield on my Audi came loose and was hanging down, catching the wind and dragging on the road. It wasn't possible to remove and it wouldn't stay up. We couldn't drive more than 30 MPH without the thing falling and dragging. Turned out to be a minor issue, according to the Audi dealer, but having it happen on the I15 in this area isn't a minor thing to deal with. The dealer suggested finding a tire repair to remove it. The closest was Big O Tires in Nephi. Finally found an exit so we could get on state route 78, backtracking at 25-30 MPH to Nephi. The guys at this Big O Tire store couldn't have been more willing to help and professional. They got us back on the road as quickly as they could, which was surprisingly fast. The last couple years has made me a bit cynical about people in general but this makes me recognize and appreciate the staff at Big O more. You're vulnerable when you experience car issues on a freeway and away from home. I'm beyond grateful to these guys for helping me out of a stressful situation and getting me back on the road. Phenomenal service and accommodations after breaking down in Nephi, Utah. Multiple workers helped us be as comfortable as possible in a very uncomfortable situation. They diagnosed the fuel pump being bad and were very reasonable on price. They stayed past closing to have our car ready at opening the next day. Great mechanics there! read more

I don't live in Utah, but in early January 2017 I was driving home on the freeway after a family trip to Sundance. My car had been snowed in a few days and we managed to sneak out between storms. I started noticing that when my car went above about 55mph, it started vibrating really badly and I was worried something serious was wrong. I was really sick, I had my wife & two daughters in the car and about 10 more hours of driving ahead of me and so I pulled over at the Big O Tires in Nephi just by chance to get things checked out. I ended up talking to Jaren who was kind enough to come out in the parking lot and look over my car (in his t-shirt in 20 degree weather I might add). After giving it a once-over, he spent some time explaining to me how ice deposits (especially after being snowed in a few days) can throw off the balance on the tires and cause the symptoms I was seeing. He spent a few minutes with me walking around and helping break down all the ice inside the tire rims and wheel wells and making sure there wasn't anything obviously wrong. It was a quick stop; not more than 5-10 minutes probably. Sure enough, when we got back on the road after stopping at Big O, the vibrating was much better and as Jaren said, as we drove further South and the weather warmed up, the rest of the vibrating went away. Maybe this is all obvious to people who live in cold climates, but it's been 15+ years since I've lived anywhere that really gets snow, so this was new information to me. I mostly just wanted to write this review and say thanks to Jaren. I was stressed out and sick and having a really rough day and I really appreciated him taking the time to help me out. I don't live in Utah so I don't know if I'll ever be back to this Big O in Nephi again, but if I lived nearby, I would 100% come back. Thanks again Jaren. You are awesome. read more

We broke down on our way to SLC right at the Nephi exit, .5 mile from Big O Tires. It is unlucky that we broke down but we are so thankful to have been near these mechanics. We had some major front wheel & tire damage and they did their best to get us back on the road quickly, even sooner than estimated. The staff was friendly and helpful and I honestly feel like they went above and beyond for us. I was on my way back from a trip down in Capitol Reef, and my car flatted THREE TIMES (I'm looking at you Goodyear). I made it to Big O in Nephi, and had to leave it overnight (I live in Park City). The next day I called Rocky at Big O, and he was SO HELPFUL in finding me a great quality tire. If you're looking for a great deal, I bet you can find a better one elsewhere (that's why only 4/5 stars). But with no other choice, I was very happy with how helpful, kind, and quick the guys in the shop were. And I'm pretty sure they fixed the door hinges on my jeep that my local mechanic said were unfixable and needed replacing. Wonderful service. read more

They quickly found the problem but being a Saturday could not get the part to fully fix it but were able to get it running better and help get me back on the road quickly. read more

We were just passing through and had some car problems so we stopped here to have them checked. They understood that we were on a tight schedule and got us in very quickly. They listened to what I knew and then explained everything they did in easy to understand language. They checked the codes then went in and completed a more detailed check to be sure that what they saw lined up with the codes and that it was accurate. They covered everything to make sure they knew that they were fixing the right problem and shared their thoughts with me throughout the process. They were able to get parts in very quickly and had me in and out in only a couple hours from the moment I entered the building without an appointment. Both the front desk and the mechanic were kind, helpful, listened and explained. Although car problems are never fun I was very impressed with the service I received during my unexpected stop here today. read more

I had the unhappy experience of blowing a transmission in my Jeep on my way to Canada. I had the fortunate luck to have broken down 7 miles from Nephi and had the Jeep towed to Big O Tire there. Tye and his team are certified in pretty much any repair anyone would need and they were wonderful to deal with. Tye actually helped us load all of the stuff from the Jeep into the back of his truck and drove us the 2 hours to Salt Lake City airport to rent a vehicle so that we could continue our trip as I knew it would be some time to get a rebuilt tranny and get the repairs complete - certainly not in their hands from a timing perspective. From the time of breakdown to picking up the rental car it was only a 5 hour delay in our travels. It took the better part of a month for Jeep repairs but, I had planned to be in Canada for the month anyway so it worked out OK - other than paying for a rental for a month!!!! I took the Jeep into my usual mechanics yesterday for a thorough once over to ensure everything looked good - it's hard to trust a mechanic that you don't know - and they were Very impressed with the work. Everything was as it should be, no leaks and no apparent issues. Thank you soooooooooo much Tye and team for making a miserable situation a whole lot better with your willingness to go out of your way to ensure we could get back on the road with the rental and for all the great work on the Jeep - truly appreciate all that you did and would Highly recommend this location for anyone's mechanical needs!!!!! read more

I arrived at Big O Tire shortly before closing on 5 Dec 2012 with both of my rear tires going flat rapidly, one with an audible hissing noise coming from it. Now i realize that it was 10 minutes before closing and it would be unreasonable to demand service, that being said the only person there was a manager who claimed to have no idea how to fix a tire and when i asked if there was something that could be done he said, "go find another tire shop, try Harmon tire". So by this point in time both of my tires were not safe to drive on and so i spent the next 2 1/2 hours sitting next to a tire center while the tow truck company picked up a tire plug kit from Walmart and helped me fix my tire. So when it comes to Big O, i just took the managers advice and brought my business elsewhere; the next day i purchased 4 new tires from the Discount Tire on the Lindon/Orem border and had them installed and out the door in less than a half hour. So thank you Big O tire for your complete apathy towards an emergency, thank you for that desire not go that extra mile and do something which could have made a life long customer, but most of all thank you for leaving this full time student (with UVU parking pass hanging in the front window) and Veteran (with Veteran license plates) sitting in your parking lot with two flat tires during this holiday season. Because if you had not done that, i might have spent money at your establishment. read more
