Traveling through St. George today on a 500 mile trip. Unfortunately, picked up a unintended hitchhiker in the way of a nail in my front tire. I was able to get the car to Big O tires, who went right to work at getting it repaired and me back on my way. A short time later I was handed my key and began to pull out my wallet. The manager simply smiled and said, "Oh, no charge. Thanks for stopping by." What a breath of fresh air in a time when customer service and going over and above seem so out of fashion. Took my car to have a tire patched up and after making me wait for 45 minutes, they came back to me and said the tire can not be fixed. They wanted for me to buy brand new tires . Since I didn't want to buy, they got upset and told me flat out to take the car somewhere else. I took it to EAGLE and they took two minutes, did their job and told me the tire didn't even have a leak! All they had to do was pull the nail out ! No charge!!! BeWare of these people . They don't care for you! All they want is for you to spend big buck or nothing!!!! No excuse. They are TERRIBLE . Our tire had been slowly leaking for quite some time. We kept having to fill it up with air and we had a trip coming up so my husband decided to bite the bullet and get the tire repaired. We went to a couple different places and they didn't seem very accommodating about repairing the tire, and just wanted to replace the tire altogether (maybe to make more money?). They also weren't very nice about the amount of time it would take. Overall, they seemed to be in a really bad mood, and made me feel like I was bothering them. We decided to go to Big O Tires on Sunset. The man there was sooooo kind! He immediately found the tear in the tire and quickly patched it for us and it didn't even take very long. And he DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE A DIME! It was completely FREE! We were baffled! My husband overheard conversations over the phone, and the man working there seemed so kind and genuine to everyone. They say they open at 7:00 but their crew doesn't actually show up until 9:00. I searched their online inventory but it also turns they don't carry any of those tires in stock. ANY of them. The only option was their own name brand which was, of course, the most expensive tires available. The entire auto tire industry is bad, but this is a bait and switch location that should be avoided. read more

When I ordered tires for my truck Sept 26 2022, I was quoted $1,111.75 which was supposed to include installation, balancing, tire disposal, state tire tax and tire disposal but when I received the finally invoice two days later I was invoiced $1,325.24 but that wasn't the main problem.. After ordering and receiving the tires they made an appointment for me at 12:00 on the 27th, which I was on time for. While they was doing the tires I thought it would be an opportune time to have them put on some new front brake pads while they was at it but they broke a caliber bolt because they didn't bother to spray any penetrating oil before hand.. and I had to pay for that.. All this should not have taken over 2 hours but I didn't get out of there until 5pm, missing an important doctors appointment at 3pm.. but that did not seem to concern them. I also seen that they had gouged one of my very expensive beautiful chrome mag wheels but noone there was even willing to look at it. When I finally left the store I got about 1 mile down the road and then heard a load bang under my truck and about 2 minutes later another bang and then I seen the wheel balancing weights flying out the back of my truck through the rear view mirror. It was about another 2 miles when I heard the third bang so I had to take it very slow for the remaining 6 miles home. When I got home and looked at the remaining wheel balance weights and I could not believe what I was seeing. The Big O so called technician had put some of the pressure sensitive weights right over the old weights and overlapping others. There was also weights put right over the remnants and residue of the old weights that he had not even bothered to clean off any of the wheels where the new weights was to go. After pleating with them beforehand to be very careful with my truck and especially the wheels they caused more damage than good. All of my vehicles are in very nice condition so I always take before and after pictures in the event anykind of problem might arise.. which I have. Needless to say, immediately after seeing all these disturbing things I called and made another appointment for the next day at noon. When I got there the 28th at noon the manager didn't think it was even necessary to come out and look at all the problems they had done. They just pulled the truck in and spent about an hour and a half taking the wheels off and rebalancing them. When they finished and pulled the truck out I was completely shocked to see that they had done the very same thing again and went right over the old weights & adhesive remnants and residue and did not even bother cleaning the wheels before placing on the balance weights. Needless to say this time I was furious and really got into it with both the technician and the manager. The technician actually just stood there and denied everything when it was right there in front of us for proof. I actually had to force him to look at what he had done and the pictures I had.. but still he could have cared less. When I left this time I took the freeway to get home, which was a big mistake because my truck that had always drove smooth as silk was shacking like crazy and about 3 miles another load bang when the weights started flying off again and this time put a chip in my truck. I know this might be hard to believe for most of you but I have all the pictures to prove it.. Even though the manager refunded me 88.80 for the balancing I will still need to pay someone else to balance the wheels the right way .. For the 1603.91 that I ended up paying, all in all I would have paid a few thousand not to even go there because it has cost me alot more than what their tires are worth. read more

Adding an update to my review: after my 1500 mile trip, we were on our way home and we discovered a loud clanking noise as we slowed down but it stopped when we sped up, we pulled over to find out that the hub cap to our rv was not put on all the way correctly and was flopping all over, thanks big o tire... This place has the worst wait times ever! They lie about them all day long to customers. We were at a tire shop and it was a 3 .5 hour wait, so called around and this place said oh we're only have a 20 minute wait we immediately got in the rv and got here. We are from out of town and passed through to have a blow out fixed. Well we waited almost 3 hour wait we finally got our tires fixed. After they stroked us along and said it would only be 20 minutes. Every customer in there was asking and asking and asking about an ETA, any idea when it will be done, how much longer blah blah blah. They really should stop lying about the wait times and just be straight up with people. If they would have told us it would take this long we would have called around and found someone who could get it done and at least be honest. We were caravanning with a huge group and got split up because of the wait time. The only good thing was our tire warranty is for any big o tire and i don't have to come back to this place again. read more

We traveled to St. George this weekend from Los Angeles for the Half Ironman race. As soon as we arrived, we realized we had a tire that would never make it home. We had a break from watching our daughter race, and high tailed it to Big O. We were lucky enough to meet Ray, who found us the tire we needed at a different Big O location, had it brought in, gave us time to go back to the race to watch our daughter cross the finish line, and then got the repair done quickly so we could head home early the next morning. All while being as friendly and helpful as could be! You don't come across that level of service often, and we couldn't be more grateful for Ray and Big O. read more

So refreshing to deal with an honest mechanic. We were having issues with our vehicle and called on a Wednesday afternoon. They told us to bring it in first thing the following morning. They called an hour after dropping it off and told us what the problem was with one of the issues and asked permission to go ahead and put the part on the vehicle. They said they'd start looking at the second issue and let us know. They could have told us anything, but they didn't. They said it was a simple issue and didn't charge us to fix it. After months and months of going to the Steven Wade Nissan dealer to find the shaking in the front end of my Rouge, Big-O tires put four new tires on my car and allowed me to test drive them only to find out that was not the problem. I guess they did a decent oil change but they tried to make me buy a windshield wiper saying mine was broken which ended up being a quick fix that I did myself. Seems as though it was probably done by them in the first place it was just fine days before and was a new wiper besides. Just cause I look like a dumb little girl doesn't mean I don't know better. Frustrating that is what you have to deal with when you just want simple car maintenance. Even if it was broken an honest team would have attempted the fix that I did in a minute. read more

I had a screw stuck in my tire on my truck, I wasn't to worried because I could hear no air hissing from the screw hole. Latter that day I went to big o tire to get it repaired, they were really nice to me. I waited about 30 minutes, the guy came out and said because my tire was old, they could not legally patch it. At this point my tire was off the rim and they had pulled the screw out. He then went on to try and sell me some high price tires. I said no thanks, just put my tire back on the truck. They brought the truck out, tire hissing really loud. I could not believe they did this. I hurriedly jump in my truck fearing the lost of air so quickly, and went to the next tire station to get it fixed. Got it fixed with no problem, and no sales pitch. I took our Honda Pilot into Big O. for a tire repair. Four months prior to this, I had bought all new tires. Later, I had some car issues and took my car into a mechanic, they told me my alignment was out. They fixed the alignment issue for me, but suggested that I should go get my tire taken care of back at Big O. The tire on my driver side was almost completely bald. (I only drive around in town) I'm not sure if I would've caught this since I had just taken my car in four months earlier and got all new tires! My husband took our car in and told them about the problem and asked if the Insurance would take care of a new tire. The manger said, "UMMM, Yeah." After they took the car and put a new tire on it and then re-aligned the tires, the total cost was $230. I had just gotten an alignment a week ago... Shouldn't they have seen that I had already gotten an alignment? No, they just wanted to make sure they charge me for that and a new tire! When I called to complain about this and ask why this wasn't under warranty, they told me they can't take care of alignment issues or they would be out of business. I could give them a couple other reasons why they would be out of business: LYING, STEALING and TALKING OVER the the the customer when the customer is trying to ask questions! Then he liked to add in that he did give us a $70.00 discount, but never mention to tell my husband about this until I called to ask questions. Funny how I looked at my receipt for the tires back in August, it only cost $125.00, but by the end of our phone conversation, he told me that I could have been walking out of Big O paying $300, but they gave us a $70.00 discount. I previously got all of my tires done for $686.00. Why would I pay $300.00 for one tire and an alignment....? Thank you for confirming that you guys steal from people! read more

If I could give no stars I would. On May 5th I got my brake pads replaced at Big O. Great experience nice and easy! Then about a month later I started hearing squeaking when I'd back up. I stopped in and tried to get someone to look at it more than once but unfortunately they were busy. That's cool, I understand its a busy place. So July 12th I finally get in and I'm told it's brake dust. So I had such a great amount of brake dust accumulate in a month when the squeaking started? The person I talked to couldn't answer me why they hadn't cleaned out the brake dust when they initially redid my brakes. So they offered to charge me $60 to clean out the dust, and I declined. The mechanic had already started without my authorization which then led to them not charging me. Fast forward to 2 weeks later. My father is driving my car when he noticed a loud "clang" from the front end when he hits the brake. He goes to Les Schaub and they reveal that all 4 of the brake pads have been ground down to fit into place. Meaning they were not the right size. Not only that but my caliber has been cracked because of it. So what was a $160 initial bill at Big O Tire now becomes at $300 issue when I have to replace my brake pads and 2 calibers. When I call the GM of this Big O I get "well we're a multi million dollar company, do you really think we grind out brake pads? Come on." And him telling me I needed to come into their Big O to help get this situation remedied. Well, it didn't work the first or second time why would I come again?! read more

Mel the manager absolutely saved the day for me. After offering to change my bad tire with my spare for FREE, it it was clear that none of my tires were safe - the sidewall on one was ripped. My offroad tires are an unusual size, but Mel assured me if it was in the valley he would find it. And he did. Having driven from SoCal to purchase another vehicle, I was late on a deadline to make it to DMV in Hurricane to get a temporary permit - and he offered me his personal truck to use. I own several vehicles and this man has single-handedly converted me to be a Big O customer. I will NEVER go to a Big O again. A year ago I took my car to the Big O on bluff. They fixed my AC for me. it stopped working after a week. I brought it back in, they "fixed" it. A couple days after that it still wasn't working and I had to bring it back in AGAIN. I went to the Big O on Bluff again this year to get my safety inspection done. It took them over an hour. They didn't give me the actual inspection paperwork, they only gave me a receipt. A couple days later my car started making a terrible noise so I had my brother look at it. My left rear wheel was about to fall off. The technicians didn't tighten my wheel or failed to mention it after doing the inspection. Less than a month later, I bought two brand new tires from the Big O in Salt Lake City. That same day I drove back to St. George. After 200 miles of driving on my brand new tires, one of them blew. It bent my rim. The guy from the salt lake store was very nice and proactive in solving the issue. He called the guys in the Sunset store and explained the situation. He told them to replace the tire and fix or replace the rim if necessary. They put a new tire on but didn't even touch the rim. My rim is still bent, my car isn't driving properly, and i'm without a vehicle until i can get it into a real mechanic. I will never give Big O another dollar of my money or another minute of my time. I have never dealt with a more dishonest, unreliable, and unprofessional company in my life. They will manipulate you and will not do the job properly, especially if you are a young woman going in alone. I go out of my way to avoid every single Big O in St. George. I won't even go to the Salt Lake stores anymore because of how poorly i've been treated, how quickly my tires have worn out, and how unreliable their services are. I wouldn't trust them with something as simple as an oil change at this point. read more
