I wish I knew for sure the guy's name that was assisting me at Big Peach in Midtown. On my receipt it says Josh. He spent over 1 hour explaining everything from my arch, having me run on the treadmill, run on the track, explaining the different types of brands to me, trying multiple shoes on and answering every question that I had along with my husband on FaceTime. I've had positive experiences at multiple Big Peach locations but I just want to give a shoutout to Wendy for her help yesterday. She was patient, taking the time to hear my feedback on each pair of shoes I tried and I felt like she genuinely wanted me to find what works best for my feet! Midtown didn't have the color I wanted, but they're able to get the proper selection from other stores in the area or ship to you in order to make it happen. R and I were walking through Midtown in Atlanta, and he knows that I like to look for running shoes that provide support for my feet. He pointed out Big Peach Running Co. out to me as we were walking through and said, "Let's go in there. You may find something you like." My first thoughts upon entering was that this store is small, and the front part wasn't organized that well. An employee who was assisting a customer in the shoe department called out a hello to us as we walked in. I saw some shoes and clothing on sale towards the front, but they turned out to be women's shoes and clothing. It didn't look like much was available in the men's running apparel area, so I just glanced quickly at what was there. We walked through the running shoes area, but the shoes that I'm familiar with and provide me a lot of comfort and support were priced higher than I'm used to, so I didn't buy anything. i recently started running two months ago and decided it was time to invest in a pair of real running shoes. i was a bit intimidated to go to a running store since i'm not very experienced, but big peach running co is great. it's a really nice large store right in midtown near the CVS. they have a ton of shoes, clothing, accessories etc. they always have some shoes on discount (20-30%!) in the front of the store. i was looking on their website and found a pair of shoes on sale that i had tried on at a different store. i came into big peach and asked if i could try them on since i wasn't sure how snug running shoes would be. the woman who helped me brought out a few sizes and versions and also felt the toe area of my shoe to ensure they were the right size. i was able to get the pair of shoes for 20% off! i believe they also price match to their online store as well. they also provide more advance fitting like running on the treadmill to analyze your form. you can also run around the store to get a feel. the best thing about big peach is their 100% satisfaction guarantee policy. they have a really good return/exchange process which makes me feel reassured shopping there. for the service, prices, and policy, i think big peach is a trustworthy place to shop and i will definitely come back again! read more

My doctor recommended Brooks Running shoes, ASICS and another show brand...I got the name. Going through this injury has been tough especially when you don't have good quality shoes. I went to google land to start this beautiful journey of finding the perfect shoe that would not only help in my healing but that would give me support. Of course...y'all know Amazon came up, then I was led to the brooks running website. Though ordering online is convenient and has its benefits. But I knew in my knower(sorry...I'm a country talking somebody) that I needed to get to a location. I needed guidance on finding the perfect shoe for me. This is where your amazing company and website come into my life. I have to say that your website answered all of my questions. Great job. I was greeted by the sweetest soul...Chris. Chris immediately made me feel safe and comfortable...he wasn't like most shoe store sales men. He was chilled out and willing and ready to assist me. He was full of knowledge, tips and techniques to help me find the perfect shoe for me. Because I was informed by the website I was able to tell Chris what I needed. Because Chris is so good at what he do. He went to work for me. Chris asked about my concerns. I poured my heart out and express my great need for a great shoe. He got my shoe size, he did his examination...he went to the back and return with a shoe from this brand call ASICS...I put those comfortable socks on that Chris gave me then I put on the shoes. Once he got the information he needed. He instructed me to walk in these shoes...so while I was walking getting to know these shoes. Chris goes to the back and returns with 3 pair of shoes that he felt were right for me. He instructs me to try the first pair on but my feet was not feeling the love at all from that shoe. So, I tried on another pair, though it didn't hug my ankle like the ASICS shoe did I still like the felt the love from this shoe. Chris instructed to walk in the shoes while I'm walking Chris is looking at my foot asking me questions about how I'm feeling...he was all the way tuned in with me he was so patient and kind. I immediately felt great...my knees didn't hurt no more...I felt supported...these shoes felt like they loved me. Once I test drove those shoes...it was like a breath of fresh air. I tried on the other pair...again I felt like this shoe was cuddling with my foot...when I walked in this shoe it great. But at this point I'm confused...I don't know which to choose. Chris instructs me to put on one of each shoe and walk in them. Once we examine that I was instructed to switch the shoes and walk in them again...long story short The Brooks Ghost 13 were a better fit for me. I was able to make the final decision with Chris guidance. I enjoyed my time with Chris. He is such a funny guy. I felt like a grown woman making this purchase. I am a lifetime client. I never knew a company like this existed. I had no clue. I only knew of stores that sells shoes for brand, style but not for comfort and support. I came in hurting but walked out in my brand new shoes feeling like I could walk 3000 miles without pain in my foot or knees. I did not know that the right shoe could correct so much so quickly. Just had one of the best retail experiences of our life at Big Peach. My wife and I missed our connecting flight in Atlanta and are forced to overnight with zero luggage. So I previously lost about 50 pounds on the Keto diet along with intermittent fasting before coming into the store. I knew I needed to exercise on a consistent basis in order to keep the weight off. I've been walking on the beltline but my feet were killing me and I wasn't working so I really couldn't afford new shoes. I refused to give up so I realized I needed to make an investment. I was so determined to not only maintain my weight but to continue to lose weight. So my friend tells me about this place. He previously bought a pair of shoes maybe a week earlier from the clearance shelf as soon as you walk in the door. A very nice slim lady with dark hair helped me I forget her name but I will never forget her. She didn't make me feel like the fattest person in the store which I was. There were professional joggers and athletes in the store and here I was being out of shape for so many years just starting to get my health back in order. She was so patient with me and when I told her I wasn't working and I needed to really try to find something off of the clearance shelf she didn't look at me funny she didn't judge me she completely understood and she helped me pick the best shoe from that area. She also did a test that showed how I wear on my shoes and which would be the best for me so when I did start working I can come in and buy a different pair if I needed to. I paid approximately $70 which included tax. The original price was $139. I don't know how often they have these sales but they are definitely worth a stop through. Also the parking isn't bad there is a parking area on the side of the building. We did not have to pay to park. I am almost in need of a new pair of shoes and I would definitely be heading back to buy a new pair (happily at full price now that I am working) and thank her again for helping me. read more

I have lived in a bunch of places and when I was in Boulder Colorado the Boulder Running Company impressed me in that they were genuinely interested in learning your gate and stride to put you in the right shoe.. I have been running on Saucony Omni's ever since. That type of service and attention to my personal details went a long long way.. Well, there is another running shop in this country that goes to the same length for us and Jennifer was incredibly helpful in a reexamination of my stride and sampling several different shoes till I found the red slipper! #kudos to this company. A coworker and I went to Big Peach (BPRC) to look for new running shoes. (I'm training for a 10-K and my coworker is a regular runner.) Our salesperson was very patient while we kept interrupting him and voicing our running shoe and style preferences. He brought out several styles for us both and gave me some great tips on choosing a shoe for both road and trail runs. He also suggested that I check out the runner skills classes they hold on Monday nights (at 6:30). Kudos to our person for serving us both at the same time, but I was bummed that he didn't check on another color for the shoe I bought, so.... I ended up with shoes that are quite ugly (at least to me) but feel GREAT. I've been running/walking in them both on a treadmill and on pavement, and they are very comfortable. I can't say they've needed "breaking in" time. I just hate looking at them. *sigh* I've attended one of the running skills classes and the speaker talked about foam rolling for your muscles. The presenter was great and the class was very informative, especially for a newbie like me. If you're new to running, these classes are worth checking out. The BPRC employee who monitored the class was very supportive and didn't make me feel bad for not wanting to run around the block, and the other people in the class were easy-going and some were super-fit runners and others were not-as-fit trotters like me. :-D BPRC sells a variety of items - clothing, running food snacks, socks, hydrating gear, etc. but the selection doesn't run deep. I also can't imagine that they have any pants in my size (i.e. x-large for the hips and the booty), but to be fair, I didn't check. A few years ago I decided I was going to get "serious" about running, which meant coughing up more cash for the right gear. I had a great first experience at the Brookhaven location and was stoked to find out there is a location now in Midtown. I came to the store a few weeks ago with my pair of shoes I was trying to replace. I told them what things I didn't like about my current pair. They listened closely, then promptly got me into a pair of "neutral" shoes and on the treadmill for re-evaluation of my stride. David, the associate that helped me, was great in explaining all the technicalities. Like most people I over-pronate, but only in my left foot. We tried on a bunch of pairs of shoes. David came up with the idea of me trying on some men's styles because my feet are wide at the front. It was a WORLD of difference trying on men's shoes, and I'm really glad he had the thought to try it out. I ended up with a New Balance men's shoe- about $120. A few days later I went for a run in my new shoes, and about 5 minutes in started experiencing painful shin splints in my right leg. These shoes were not my perfect fit - my Cinderella Glass Slipper as David put it. So I came in a few weeks later (I had only run on the pair once) and told them these shoes weren't for me. David was there, and we went through the process again. This time we talked a lot about how trying to "fix" the overpronation in my left foot my be causing the shin splints in my right leg due to how my right foot was now hitting the ground with a less-natural strike. Do you EVER have this conversation when you're looking at shoes at Sports Authority? I didn't think so. This time, we wanted to be ABSOLUTELY SURE I had the right shoe. So I actually ran around the store a few times in various shoes, and....ended up with the same exact style of shoe (Brooks Adrenaline) I had when I visited the Brookhaven location, just the newer version. David also put in the notes in my profile the other shoe that was a close second (Saucony Omni) just in case this pair doesn't work out. The reason I LOVE this store and shared this whole experience is because Big Peach excels in customer service. In total they probably spent 2 hours in one-on-one service with me to make sure I had the absolutely perfect "glass slipper". Parking was no problem when I came on a Saturday afternoon, but was an absolute CLUSTER when I came on a Monday after work, because the same lot used for Big Peach parking is used for Escorpion valet. When I arrived there was exactly 1 spot available and when I left the valet guys had my car blocked in and then yelled at me because it took me a few tries to get my car out of the lot. So- I would recommend you come in on a weekend or don't drive to the store on a weekday. Big Peach also offers a variety of running clothing, a whole WALL of running socks (I really want some for Christmas!), supplements and powders, running gel, etc. Pretty much anything you need if you're a runner. They also have "leisure" sneakers in their offering as well. Post Script - I've done two runs in my new shoes and they are wonderful! read more

AAA++++ EXPERIENCE! Great Addition to the Midtown Area! I am fairly new to running but I have been working out all my life. However, I knew within 2 weeks of being on a treadmill that my cheap, clunky, tennis shoes were not going to do the trick. A coworker recommended Big Peach and since I know this location was in my neighborhood I decided to check them out. They do a very thorough foot analysis and they recommend shoes to try on based on their findings. So fair warning, it's not going to be a quick "in-and-out" experience. David assisted me with the process and he was a great educator on all things running! The experience was so great, I felt like I was in "Say Yes To The Dress" and when I finally found my pair of shoes, it felt like floating on air. Just like "Say Yes", you will know immediately that you have found the right shoes and you will breathe the biggest sigh of relief in the world. If you need a "perfect" pair of shoes, then run to Big Peach. It can get pricey but the experience is well worth it if you're a serious runner or want to be. My feet will be thanking me! They also have Thursday night group runs at this location with about 30-70 people of varying levels if you're looking for something to do during the week. read more

I've recently been getting back into running long distances, and my old shoes were not cutting it. I could feel it in my hips and knees every time my shoes hit the ground, and really needed more cushion, so yesterday I decided to hit up Big Peach. I was so surprised at the care and attention to detail even with COVID precautions they had in place. Babatunde did a great job of matching up what I wanted in a shoe with what I needed due to overpronation. He also helped me figure out my correct shoe size and how to tie laces in a way that help shoes feel more secure on a run. I had a difficult time deciding between 2 pairs, so they also saved my "backup" pair in an account just in case the shoes I went with didn't work out. Inventory was a bit light on some items as it is at most places in the current environment, but they still had a great selection of products. Their shoe selection is extensive, their staff is incredibly knowledgeable, and they have every piece of gear under the sun you may need like sweat-wicking shirts, energy gels, etc. When I came in for a fitting, I felt more like they wanted me to be a healthy runner than a returning customer, and that's key. Big Peach running Is my favorite running shoe store in all of Atlanta. I think they have the most incredible staff and work very hard to make sure that you are fitted in the shoe that works best for you. Recently I bought some shoes that first fit great, but after a couple of runs really started hurting my feet and giving me a big heal blister. I was able to go back to the store and return the shoes and the staff were very nice and understanding of my issues. They re-did the entire process of finding a good shoe for me and allowed me to return the shoes that did not work out for me. I've worked with several different members of the staff and everytime they great you with a great big smile and are happy to help. I think what sets them apart from other stores is there fantastic customer service. They have several locations around the Atlanta area so you have to make sure to look at which one is the closest one to you. Even if you're only a light runner who is not that serious about it, then you need to be fitted for running shoes that compliment your running style. Otherwise, you're just an injury waiting to happen (I know from experience). Big Peach is a great store to buy your next pair of kicks from. There are 2 things that I really like about this Big Peach location: technology and their sales associates. I love technology and believe in the science behind optimizing human athletic performance. Big Peach utilizes this technology in at least 2 ways. First, they have you stand on a pad that displays where your foot's pressure points are. This helps determine how much arch support you need. Second, they video record your running style on a treadmill to define what type of pronator you are. This helps determine how much support/stability you need from your shoe. My sales associate, Trish, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. She explained the differences between the pairs of shoes that she had me try on. There was no pressure to purchase any of the pairs and she genuinely wanted me to end up with the pair of shoes that I liked most. I tried the same pairs of shoes on multiple times and tested them on the running path/track that they have inside the store. The rest of the staff that I interacted with was friendly as well. It was easy to tell that they are passionate about running. Overall, I had a great experience and will recommend this store to anyone in the market for new running shoes.
