I had lunch here today, as recommended by a friend. If you love burritos, then this is the place to get them. 1. The place is very clean, stainless tables. 2. All menu items are in an easy to select counter. 3. The staff is very friendly and helpful. 4. The food portions are incredible, good for 2 persons to share. 5. Tried this place for the first time tonight. It was really good! It reminds me of Chipotle and Qdoba, same concept and similar menu. Prices are also pretty much similar, so not too expensive. You can get burritos, tacos, and bowls. You choose your meat from their options and you choose your toppings. Pretty straight forward and you know exactly what is going into it. When I arrived I was a little confused about the entrance because it had other businesses listed on the door and when you walk in it's like a little business entryway with other businesses inside. However once you're inside it's not confusing because the restaurant is right to your right and you can clearly see it. I went a little late, maybe 7 pm ish and they close at 8 I believe, so they were out of a few things but they had everything I wanted which is fine by me! I'll be back. read more

We used Big River Burrito to cater our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. Outstanding experience. Paul was very responsive and easy to work with. The set up was completed seamlessly and the food line was organized in way that made sense. Ordered a chicken burrito bowl. It's my normal when I order at this place. I received the smallest portion in the bowl. I also got chips and guac. She ran out of guac and only had the cup filled with maybe 1/8th of the way and asked if it was enough. The worst experience here ever. Which is sad because the other times I've ate here it was good. Definitely was not worth my money this time. Also my rice was very undercooked. read more

We were recommended this place while in town for work. We had to look a little bit to find it but it was worth it. The food was great. You get a lot of food for a good price. It's like Subway but for burritos and tacos. They have a lot of variety to choose from. There were four different meats, three or four different quesos and plenty of toppings to add to your meal. They offer tacos, burritos, and burrito bowls. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it if you are looking for good Mexican food. read more

Went to Big River Burrito during the soft opening earlier this week, and then again today. The food is very similar to Qdoba, with some minor exceptions such as the queso not being quite as good. They are currently finding their feet/flow on service. There are a lot of people in the line, which almost impedes the speed at which the orders are handled. The flow of the line is terrible. The line snakes around the room where you order, which is separate from the dining room, and people are constantly in front of the soda machine and station where lids, straws and utensils are located. It's a bad layout. Hopefully they will figure some of these things out as the progress a bit. Not a terrible opening at all, but definitely a few kinks. read more

Newly opened in March 2017. Menu is predictably like Chipotle/Qdoba, which is good if you like that food. It's a nice addition to Yankton. Management is attentive and aims to please. My guac was off the last time we ate there, which was a real downer. The dining room is bare bones and a bit noisy, but the views of the river, park, and bridge are what give it a fourth star for me.
