We purchased a Thermadore fridge in 2023. 2 years later, we began having serious issues with it. BSS takes weeks to get back to you always saying "...needs to go thru warranty approval". Then sending out txts inquiring if service repair has reached out yet. It's a game- I call the intended service repair and they haven't heard from BSS after multiple attempts trying to reach BSS. While staff at the Huber Heights location was friendly, the leather sofa and loveseat we purchased have been a big disappointment as well as the extremely poor service received when we called corporate about our rejected claim for a damaged foot rest. Now, if the footrest is truly leather, I don't think that "leather" should wear away from feet resting on it. This was after about one year of use. They sent a repair person to look at it and he agreed it was unacceptable and said he'd order a new piece to replace the damaged one. We've had other leather furniture that had no leather worn away after many years of use. We will never shop at Big Sandy's again and we pass this on to anyone who mentions buying furniture or appliances. All bc they wouldn't replace a piece that would have cost them less than $100. read more

The delivery guys did fine, but left no manuals or anything (it's all electronic furniture). The next day, the recliner wasn't working. Green light is blinking, controls on the side for reclining was blinking. Text the salesperson we purchased it from, and never heard from her. also text the chat bot and that said someone would be reaching out. Still heard nothing. Ended up having to call on 12/7 to finally get a hold of someone, for them to tell me they can't even send a tech out until 12/26 to look at my recliner. Now I'm paranoid of the other 2 having the same issue. We spent almost $5K on this furniture and less than 24hrs later a piece was broken and have to wait 3 weeks for someone to come look at it. I feel that's a ridiculous amount of time to wait for a repair for something brand new. Finally received a replacement recliner on 1/16. Had another tech come out to look at the loveseat that looks completely bent when you recline and not put together right. He of course says it's the "mechanism" and would put in an order to replace it. On 1/28 I receive a text that it's going to take 16-22 weeks to get that part in. Apparently they won't replace the love seat. Brand new furniture that we purchased in November 2024 and delivered in December of 2024. So far, I am not impressed w/ this store at all and I will not purchase anything from them ever again. I've attached pictures of the furniture we bought so everyone knows don't buy this furniture. It's made in Vietnam so if you need something repaired on it, just know you will be waiting 4-5 months at least for the part to come in, then they have to schedule to come to your area and where I live it's another 3-4 weeks out. I've also text the store manager yet again a cpl days ago and I have yet to hear back from him nor from the store when they said they would email the manufacturer about a replacement. I purchase a ge dishwasher and a "special order" loveseat online with white glove delivery and installation of dishwasher. My experience from that point has been horrible and I've not received one apology, for all the ridiculous treatment by delivery/ installation team. The delivery team went to wrong address " next door " 7am woke him up because they couldn't find our address. (The address is in front of all moraine city houses in bold white a green signage ) Neighbor told them next door ,neighbor stated they took pictures and never knocked on our door and they left . Delivery was rescheduled for that Saturday per store manager and Eva Braniff. Saturday delivery team comes to home ,proceeds to take photos and videos of our home all the way into kitchen and under counter . We had already removed old dishwasher, delivery team proceed to tell us they couldn't install unit with no explanation other than they was looking for old lines to reinstall. They returned with unit and said "you have to call plumber" and refused to install leaving dishwasher in living room and us with out water or dishwasher. Simply because unprofessional installation/delivery team lacked common knowledge of installation of products they are being sent out to perform. The part the install guys lacked was a $3 fitting.. That was in the parts bag. The delivery team was rude combative and belligerent, the came in acting as they did not want to install, this experience was the most unprofessional disappointing christmas present I've ever gave. I want to mention Eva in corporate and store manager "dayton mall" for their help. The dishwasher works great after I paid a real installation person. Do better, don't offer installation of products if employees are barely able to navigate a large truck let alone install a dishwasher. Very disappointed by the entire experience and i think once I finally get delivery of the loveseat I will end my relationship with Big Sandy's there are other entities that actually do care for their customers. IF I COULD GIVE A 0, I WOULD!!! I would. Beyond disappointed with this store. We dealt with Cat. Lie after lie. We was gonna go with the $1100 mattress but Cat had told us it would not qualify for the 120 day comfort. So we went with a $4100 one. We asked her, worst case scenario, we could return this for the $1100 one and she said that is correct. So it was better to spend over the limit that was required for the comfort policy. We did not like the mattress so we got ahold of her and told her and said we would like to go with the other one. She insisted we comeback in to decide. So we thought about it and said we wanted to return this, we didn't care what the restocking fee was. She said we dont do that. So I got ahold of a gentleman on line and he told us to get ahold of the sales rep and have her fill out a form that could be sent to corporate for approval for a return and pay the restocking fee. So I got ahold of her and told her what he told me. No response. Then the manager calls me and said Cat was wrong for telling me we can get the cheaper mattress and the gentleman online was wrong also and could not pay a restocking fee. So he said he understood my frustration and would work with me and do a store credit but we had to spend the amount we paid for the mattress by Jan 1st our deadline. That was the best he could do. So we had a bedroom suit picked out which the dayton store did not have a display. So Cat said the bridgewater location had it on display to go check it out there. We did, and that store manager called the dayton store to let him know we wanted to go with that. At first he did not remember the conversation, then he did and said he did not tell me that. So why would I waste my time going to that store? Another lie. So I got ahold of Cat and said I do not appriciate the lies. So what is the managers rule this week? 3 weeks later, still no word. So then I got ahold of customer servise and wanted to file a complaint. So he said he would let the regional sales manager know and I would here from them. 3 weeks later I have still not heard from them either. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Wife and I have been looking for the right couch set. For about 4-5 years. We finally found one at Sandy's super store. They in store sales were fine. It was as soon as they dropped the couch off. It was missing a foot. So we asked before they left. The delivery guys said will get right on it. About a month later. We had to wait for the other service dept. to come out and install the screw on leg. Then from the couch sitting on the ground. I even told them that it shouldn't be sitting on the ground like that. They said it would be fine. When the repair guy came out. The entire inside of the brand new couch that we didn't even make a payment on yet. Was broke. The insides are cheap wood. I asked if I could return it. They said we had it too long. Now we have to deal with the service dept. the sales team. Just transfer you to the service department. Needless to say. This has been the worse experience I've ever had. I will never buy anything from these furniture stores. Now we have a broken couch that is brand new. Will say the sales team were nice. Once the sale was done. It was sorry talk to the service department. I have a lot more documentation on all of this. read more

I really dislike leaving bad reviews but Big Sandy has not handled my concerns properly. I purchased a dining room set back in January 2023, shortly after receiving my set, one of the stools legs became wobbly. I put a service request in, and a technician came out and repaired. A couple months later, all of the stools became wobbly and even had some legs that broke. I put my service request in in May, here we are in November 2023, I'm still waiting for either new stools or getting current stools repaired. The store can't do anything, corporate hasn't done anything. I'm very annoyed about this, as I haven't used these stools since approx. May. A waste of money. read more

I went in to see the finale look they literally sold me a memory foam topper for 3500 dollars. they never delivered a mattress!!! I told them that is not what I purchased in the show room. Our delivery overall was good. The men who delivered it were friendly and very efficient. No issues with the actual physical delivery. We had a couple of delays prior to the date of delivery, which was not a big deal. We had two sales people handling our order because we bought appliances and a mattress. What was bothersome was that one sales person kept blaming all of the delays/problems on the other sales person. I understand that things happen, and I would have been fine with an apology. But throwing your teammates under the bus shows your character. Hopefully this will encourage them to work as a team.
