    Bone in Wings (classic flavor)
    Bill D.

Got off work very hungry and tired. Staying at Hampton Inn and searched for delivery food. Saw this place was rated decently so ordered some wings and a hoagie. My food arrived quickly to my door. The wings were in a Styrofoam container wrapped in plastic wrap the bottom was soaked in grease! After unwrapping them opened to discover they were swimming in oily liquid which appeared to be cooking oil! There was no exaggeration a half a cup or more of oil in the bottom of the container. My hands were soaked in oil. There is no excuse for a cook to send food out the door in that condition! The wings were hot and I did try to eat a few bites. They were ordered Jamaican Jerk flavor but there was no flavor at all. The hoagie was actually decent and I did eat about half of that. I just couldn't believe the condition of the wings which were drowning in oil!!

Hubby and I were in town visiting Ohiopyle a couple of weekends ago and stopped by here for a quick dinner before finally settling in at our hotel nearby and I was stoked to find that we could actually dine in (after all it isn't very easy to eat wings in a hotel room that doesn't have a table for dining). I placed our order for a cheesesteak, fries and some hot honey old bay wings and sat at a table in the empty dining room. I was happy that our fries were brought out first since I was starving and really glad I didn't order the large as the smalls was a huge portion. The cheesesteak was really good, loved the roll and all the sweet peppers inside. Their wings are really big - perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside, the only issue I had as that the sauce tasted nothing like hot honey and I didn't taste any Old Bay whatsoever, more like regular buffalo wings but they were still good, just not what I was hoping for. Would probably come back when in the area, after all they have more flavor options than any place I've ever been to.

The chicken steak salad is one of the best salads you can eat and their wings are cooked to a perfect temperature

Great wings. The Buffalo Parm is over the top. Big wings. Juicy. Hot. Worth it completely.

Stopped here while in the area for dinner. This had been on the list for awhile, and able to…read morefinally get here and try it. Kind of a cross between a sports bar with TVs and projector screens, as well as dark walls and dark wood dining. It was pretty quiet when we were there - kind of weird being a weekend evening, We started with some appetizers: bruschetta, steak egg rolls, and fried pepperoni. The bruschetta was good - executed properly and textbook. The bread was toasted but a soft bite - just the right amount of tomato and balsamic. The steak egg rolls were also very good - had a kick with cherry peppers inside. Comes with ranch as a dipping sauce. The fried pepperoni was different. The breading struggled to stay on the pepperoni but it was good overall. For my entree I went with the red chicken parm. It comes with pasta (billed as made from Scratch) and red sauce. There were two hamburger-sized chicken pieces, breaded with cheese and a small amount of sauce on top. I felt like the cheese on the top was scarce - should be more. Upon first bite, I was throttled with the flavor of salt, heavy heavy salt. I tried the other piece and the same. I don't mind salt items but this breading reminded me of overuse of the chicken seasoning pack in ramen, and was just over the top. Pasta was ok. For dessert - since I didn't eat much of the entree, I went with the chocolate cake. Holy hell it's massive. The picture doesn't really do it justice. It was immense. Cake was good - though kind of dry at times. Our waitress was nice - attentive and responsive to us throughout the meal. Would try again - I would say really this is closer to a 3 than a 4 but. Whichever.

With the amazing location, building, they need to stand out. The pizza wasn't bad, though the dough was certainly pre-made and frozen , then thawed for our pizza.

It's been many years since I have been able to get to Caporella's. The last time I was there, it…read morewas at the old location on Rt 51. We have tried many times over the years to get to the new location, but it is so difficult. Especially when you have kids and family events, and have to plan two weeks ahead in order to get them to give a reservation. Be forewarned, make a reservation! You cannot just decide to go to dinner one night and choose Caporella's....at least we've never been able to. For our visit this time, we really liked the location. It is definitely beautiful. Our service was good, as well, while we were there. It was just the wife and I with our youngest, since she was a last minute add-on to our planned date night, and the server was great with her. Food wise, some things impressed, some did not. I do not feel the quality of what I had this time matched the stellar experiences I used to have at the old location. The price tag on few things, as well, didn't measure up. Let me explain. For appetizers: The Beans and Greens were still literally the BEST I have ever had in my life. Their version still stands for what I measure all others against. The Cheese Logs were good albeit crazy for the price, and breading was super heavy on them. For Soups: We had to try the French Onion Soup, as we always do anywhere. It was..eh. Reminded me of a beef vegetable soup with some onions thrown in. There was no depth to it like a stellar FOS would have. It reminded me of something that was just thrown together really quickly. For Dinners: I had the Chicken Parm. Chicken was good, but I really did not like the spaghetti sauce. I'm picky, and it probably is just "me". I don't like tomato-y canned tasting acidic marinara. The wife had their version of a Chicken Piccata, her usual go to, and hated it. She took it home, and I ate it for lunch the next day. It was very sour. Daughter had gnocchi, and liked it. For Desserts: A spumoni, which was great, and a Tiramisu. HATED THAT. I was under the impression it was going to be Tiramisu....not a dry as a bone tiramisu-flavored cake. Was the first time you would hear me say I was very thankful for getting such a small piece. Would NOT get again. Overall, I am not sure if I will be going out of my way to go back again for anything other than those Beans n' Greens. They really are amazing. But, for anything else, the price tag and what we received this time was not going to draw us back again vs. other options in the area, compounded with how difficult it is for us to get there with the reservation-must-have. It's good, but not THAT good.

It's always great finding hidden gems whenever we make our roadtrips. Here we are in our hotel amongst so many chain restaurants and we do not do chains. Following Yelp reviews we made a list and then checked it twice, yup for real with a local who works at the Hilton in Uniontown. When went with low to medium expectations and had that blown away as soon as Kameron made his intro never saying no to anything we were asking about. For our dinner we started with the crab special, gorgeous chunks of finished in a balsamic reduction. For my main, I had the walleye special and the fish was cooked to perfection very lightly breaded lightly fried, extremely moist, tender, and very tasty and beautifully plated against the side of vegetables. My wife had grilled chicken penne à la vodka that she absolutely loved. We were on such a good role and enjoying ourselves with our bottle of wine as well that we decided to order coffee sides with espresso and a lemon Raspberry cake that our surprise was so amazing. We actually did finish it. Please see photographs of our beautiful meal and since we were in the area for a couple days, we are going again during this trip .
