I was in the mood for a pint of Hagaan Daz ice cream. YUP it was one of those nights. So the two of us drove down in her car. When we went in we proceeded to the dairy section. I pick out my flavor and we walk down the aisle, Monica several paces ahead of me. Then one of the employees steps into the aisle and stands in her path so she steps aside to pass him and he moves aside as well blocking her path again. I see all this and lean to the side, stick my head out and ask the employee loudly, "can I help you?" This launched an inside joke that lasts to this day. This establishment has been here as long as I can remember and they have your basics. Dairy, eggs, junk food and processed food. Not the best place to go if you are a health fanatic. But if you want a 24 hour place to stock up on junk food this is the place to go!

Yesterday I sent my husband for sandwiches and mozzarella for Memorial Day. Since they closed at 3pm he had to get there earlier because we were going to eat at 4pm. I wrote down what to get on paper and he took it with him. 2lbs of bocconcini , 1 mozzarella, 1 hero with roast beef and yellow American cheese (this was fine), another hero with roast beef, ham and turkey (this was fine), my wrap just roast beef double wrap (the wrap gets soggy and falls apart so I get a double wrap so I can take the wet wrap off and re wrap with the not soggy one) (this was not fine). I got a single wrap with roast beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese (It was either Swiss or Provolone) and mayo. I'm allergic to tomatoes, cheese and eggs (which are in the mayo). I'm glad I opened it 1st. If I took a bite without opening it, I would've been taken to the hospital. I through it out. I had some chips instead. If you're going for sandwiches, make sure they show it to you before they wrap it up or check before you leave. If you're allergic to anything and it's on there it could be very dangerous for you.

This was my first time visiting this C-Town and maybe my last time unless I am visiting Crust Pizza next door. The supermarket is on the smaller size and they have small narrow aisles. Two people cannot walk side by side together. The aisles are packed with items and brimming with stuff. I feel like they are trying to display items everywhere and that leads to a cramped feeling. I bought a quart of whole milk for $2.69. (I was told later that the milk is cheaper by the deli near our house). The cashier was polite and quick.

I've seen a man walking around with his privates exposed, people layed out on the sidewalk in front of the entrance, and men commonly loiter outside. -Bathroom is one of the dirtiest in the the neighborhood. -Customer service is absolutely rude, which is what finally, after many, many instances of this has made me post this update. I started going to the 1441 Richmond location which is a lot nicer, but farther from my house. Every time I come back to this location just because it's closer, I regret it.

But net way better than navigating the mega stores and potentially be on a long line. The new ShopRite on Hylan is actually quite nice but across the island for me. Parking lot always available. Drivers do not always drive in the center lane and out the outer two lanes. With or without arrows they do what they want. Seafood separate business is always well stocked. Prices are well, seafood prices. Deli always well stocked and fresh looking. Large ever changing variety. One pet peeve. Ground beef went to $5.99/lb during Covid and never dropped to market price.
