Luckily we were able to find Thomas' shop before he closed for the day who generously secured the loose splash guard at no charge. We were in and out of there in 15 minutes which put my mind at ease for the rest of our trip. I would definitely recommend checking him out if you live in the area and are looking for a trustworthy mechanic. He could have easily charged us for the quick fix, but instead he helped us out in a jam and got us back on the road in no time.

They called every day to update me on the progress and get permission for repairs that were found once they started taking everything apart. Not only does my car run better than I can remember, but they charged for the time they actually spent to repair it, not just the standard labor hours that it usually takes. When I came to pick the car up, they showed me all of the parts that they changed, explained why they needed to be changed, and went over every item on the invoice. They also told me about a few items that should be repaired in the future but didn't do it this time because they knew I was on a budget and explained why they weren't "need to do now" items. Excellent service, very nice, and very reasonably priced (quite possibly the best prices in town). I'll definitely be returning for any future issues.

When I checked it, they greatly overfilled the oil. Took it back and she was asked if she or her husband added oil because it was over-filled. They asked her to bring it back so it could sit for a couple hours, so they can see where it leaks, and they would correct it. She tried multiple times to get it back in - this was their fault, mind you - and they never had time. She and them finally agreed to a day - where she would have to rearrange her work schedule - and when she arrived they told her they had too many jobs that day and wouldn't be able help her! This was a simple oil change. I have to wonder if this level of disrespect and service, or lack thereof, is because she is a woman. If I could leave zero stars I would.

When I picked it up, it drove like a dream. "Ebony" has nearly 130K miles on her, but I swear to you she hasn't driven this beautifully since I got her at 600 miles, nearly 15 years ago. Quentin, Shay (next door collaborator), and their teams got my baby looking and feeling great in no time for a VERY reasonable cost. I cannot say it enough; They are WIZARDS. :)

He confirmed he had approval for the deal with the manager and matched the terms. I drove an hour to see it three days later on our confirmed time, today July 27th at 10am. I thanked him for pinning it all down as I would have my kids with me and needed to sign and drive. When we got there, the 2026 new Atlas was not washed. I found two scratches. He said it would be detailed after I signed "if the deal worked out." I reminded him we had already worked the deal out. First red flag. He expected me to sign on the dotted line before seeing the Atlas clean. We went to his desk and he didnt remember anything about our agreed upon deal. I showed him our texts. He said he needed to run it through his manager. I reminded him he already did that. 15 minutes later, Ostin showed up with a much higher apr than what Joel said I was approved for. But he said his middle name was my first name so that was cool? Joel had given me confirmation for 5% on 72 months while Ostin showed me 8.74. I repeated that the terms were agreed upon before I drove up. Im not new to buying cars - he was padding the apr to make money. "It's only $16 more a month" he said. That amounts to $1500 over 72 months. I said I needed to stay at $400/month and the best they now said they could do was $478. While Ostin and Joel went to "check again" I called the lender and was told I qualified for 4.99. Which I already knew. I asked for my keys and said I wasnt moving forward. They argued with me in front of my kids and did the "is there anything we can do to make this work" routine. I reminded them we had already settled the terms and they had already ran my credit three days prior- 820 trans union credit score. Terms and pricing were agreed to on the trade and the purchase. Two more times I had to ask for my keys. They think if they hold the keys they've got you trapped. Dealerships everywhere need to stop this practice. It doesnt win you business playing psychological games. As I drove back to Indy, Joel texted me claiming I never mentioned my payment terms, the apr or that everything was settled and ready for me to pick up the Atlas. See attached texts. He tried to het me to come back and said he just "wants to move metal." Im getting another Atlas, minus the deceptive tactics of showing a dirty car to hide flaws and at the terms I knew I was already approved for. But I do hope this young man learns something from this. Honor matters. Your word - matters. Spoiler alert: they will respond with "we are so sorry we failed to meet your expectations" and lie about the situation.
