Stopped here while visiting family and chose it because it was listed as pet friendly with an outdoor covered enclosed patio, which was awesome on a breezy day. My husband ordered a burger and fries. He said both were good. I ordered the southwest chicken salad. I hate to say it, but it was a pretty sad salad for the price ($15). I was really excited by the description, but the actual salad left me disappointed. The chicken was supposed to be fajita seasoned yet it was fairly bland. The dressing was described as southwest ranch, yet it tasted more like plain ranch. And the black bean corn salsa? I had to search hard for it. I would guess one spoonful of it. I have had much better salads. On the upside, the server was quick, friendly and attentive, even with us being out on the patio. read more

Fantastic Wings & Friday Night Vibes We stopped in while traveling through Missouri on our way back home to North Carolina, and this place was a gem! Highly recommend, this is Hands down BEST salmon (whisky salmon) I've ever put in my mouth! Idk how they do this but oh my mouth orgasm! We went with a party of 7 on a Sunday around noon. We were seated quickly and our server was super sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. She was very quick on refills of drinks and our bottomless mimosas. The menu is really big! We aren't local, so I'm bummed it will be awhile before trying again. I ordered the smothered Cali burrito and my husband ordered the shrimp po boy. His sandwich was really good, and the fries were excellent. Very crispy - my favorite! The burrito was just ok. I don't blame the restaurant, as they probably just follow a specific recipe given. It was really lacking flavor and had way too much melted cheese. Which is my fault. I should have taken note of the word "smothered" in the food description. Not their fault! I think the recipe itself could be tweaked, but that's me being nit picky. My husband is a huge bourbon/whiskey fan, so he was excited to see their special spirit menu was quite large. I know he wants to go back just to try more bourbon! I would definitely go back and hope to try more off their menu someday! read more

Hardly anybody here when we went in. About a 45 minute wait the place started to fill up. The hostess sat us at a table and placed the silverware on the table, no napkins. Silverware was dirty and we didn't like the fact that it wasn't wrapped in a napkin. We ordered the Big Easy meals and they were tasteless. Wasn't impressed with the meals at all. The atmosphere here is nice, feels like our Ale House back home in Florida. The service was not as pleasant. We waited over an hour for food that was lacking flavor and too many things way over cooked on our party of 9's table, sadly. Stop at Big Whiskey because it was close to hotel without any research. Both of us loved it! The staff were super friendly & the environment fun with the whiskey theme. Passing through. It looked like a nice place. The food was passable for the most part. Nothing great. We both ordered burgers and fries. My burger was a mess? The whole burger had slide across the plate. This happened before it left the kitchen where it should have been corrected. How do I know? My husband had twice the amount of fries on his plate. Mine had only what the plate would allow around the messed up burger, about half. The sauce was all over the plate, not on the burger. Accidents happened, but when they do, you try to make it right. A young man, not our waitress, kept coming over. When I commented on the food being a mess, he kept sarcastically commenting back like yeah they are always like that. Which of course they are NOT as my husband's burger was fine. He was just being an ass with no intention of doing anything about it. What a jerk. It would have been better for him to stop asking about it since he had no intention of fixing the mistake. We make this drive a couple times a year. We won't be back. Service being the reason. Can't recommend this place for that reason. Looking over other reviews, I'd have to say, they are consistently inconsistent. read more

Excellent Service! Food was cold. Onion Rings & FF's cold. Ordered Brownie Skillet for dessert. The brownie was cold. The ice cream was definitely cold and not melted at all. The cast-iron skillet with the brownie in it, wasn't even hot, just barely warm. This has been our favorite place to go. We have been having food and drinks here for the year we have lived here, and chose to go here tonight for a very special event with our family. I never remember our cocktails being so high priced. In the past they were 11-12 bucks which was more than sufficient price for the quantity. I was really disappointed that our light poured cocktails were New York prices tonight, quite an increase from the past. Im not sure where they get off charging $16.00 in Southeast MO. Big Whiskey's was a disappointing experience. We've been here for about 40 minutes and have only received our drinks, despite the restaurant not being busy at all. The long wait with no food or updates from staff made the service feel inattentive and unorganized. While the atmosphere is fine, the lack of timely service really took away from the experience and left us frustrated. Overall, it's hard to enjoy a place when the wait is this long without any clear reason or communication. read more

She was disappointed in her flavored one and I was more than disappointed coild not finish it. She had steak that was average at best. My salmon was good. Rice was cool and broccoli was over cooked. What a marvelous place to eat! Great appetizers - had the soft pretzel bites with beer cheese. They were fantastic! I didn't think the main course could be better but the half-rack of ribs with a baked potato and onion straws. They were fantastic ribs were amazing - some of the best if not the best I've ever had....and I've been in all 50 states and 22 countries. They were that good! Service was excellent and so was the strawberry lemonade. My 12 year old nephew had the chicken strips and pronouncing them wonderful as well. The service was great and this review is not a reflection on the staff who were attentive and friendly. The food however was really bad. For the menu prices, they have to do so much better. Food quality was worse than any chain restaurant we have been to. It felt like they did everything they could to save money on the food while charging a higher than average price. My expectations for a chain are never that high but I would avoid this one. There are better options in PB. read more

We ate dinner here when traveling through the area. We were greeted promptly and seated in a reasonable amount of time. Our server was Destiny and she was fantastic! She took the time to answer questions was very friendly. The pretzel and beer cheese appetizer was GREAT! Definitely will order that again. I had the Buffalo chicken salad for dinner and it was average, but the blue cheese dressing was really good. My husband had the Buffalo Mac & Cheese and he enjoyed it though he didn't finish it.
