    Lunch!

Lovely little spot to have a quick soup and sandwich. There's a small area right of the cashiers where you can sit and enjoy. Speaking of enjoy, I really liked my veggie wrap filled with lots of fresh vegetables and hummus, and I also appreciated 1 of the 4 soups being vegetarian which was also very good. It would be amazing if they offered more vegetarian/vegan options though; just a kind suggestion. Lots of fresh produce, as well as several prepared meals ready for your enjoyment.

Awesome Made Fresh Bakery!!! Always new Options to Try too!

This is Probably The Coolest Grocery Store I've Ever Been To! Seriously Fresh Food & Produce! Located In a Really Nice & Safe Neighborhood Is a Big Plus. PRICES Are Very Fair Considering The HIGH QUALITY Products Being Sold Here! They carry Harder to Find Brands One Example Being Fever Tree Ginger Beer Which They Not Only Carry But Have In a Variety of Sizes! BAKERY Is One of The Best, Often New Items Available. The Quality of Baked Goods is Better then Many Stand Alone Bakeries, Seriously Amazing Stuff! BUTCHER MEATS: Something for Everyone, Everyday Cuts, Prime Quality Steaks, Ocassionally Wagyu Cuts as well. Also Available are Handmade Meatballs & Other Quick Fixins for a Hearty Homemade Feeling Dinner. The Store Is Always Very Clean and Not Crowded With Plenty of Friendly & Helpful Staff on Hand, Thank You!

Who doesn't love fresh acres lol? There are a lot of pros to this store. It is a bit on the pricey side for grocery, but their produce prices can't be beat. They're owned by big y but for some reason their produce is much cheaper than the big y down the street. It's Mostly local too, which is great for consumers and the community. The store itself is gorgeous. They've got a beautiful meat, seafood, bakery, and deli display. They've got a fully stocked and plentiful cheese wall and fresh olive bar. They've also recently added a hot food buffet, so perfect to stop in for lunch. Great customer service also. The only con is it is on the expensive side. I usually do my main grocery shopping at big y then come here for produce and specialty products.

    some outrageously priced brownie mix

This store tries to tailor to the Whole Foods crowd, but it's just Big Y with outrageous pricing. It's important to know that this place is nowhere near a health food store--their yogurt section is packed with sugary single-serve cups, they only have one option for nitrate-free bacon (and it's not affordable at all), and their produce is not great. Their eggs are more expensive than the cage free omega 3 blah blah blah eggs from Whole Foods. Also, a box of organic brownie mix was $6.19. It's not Scarffen Berger chocolate or anything that could possibly ever justify the price. Just $6.19 for some flour, sugar, and chocolate powder that has the word "European" on the box.

    $8.45 for pepperoni and sausage

The people are great, food is authentic Italian, but please someone send in Gordon Ramsay and the health inspectors. Way too much old paper on the walls, stuff laying around, dust and food at uncontrolled temperatures. It's not your Nona's house- please give yourselves a deep cleaning.

Once again, she pushed and she pushed other items after I told her a couple of times that she was serving me already too much.  She finally stopped and packed the food up with the grinders that we ordered.  When we checked out the total bill came up to $54 for two grinders and that box of food we really didn't want to get.    Now let's talk about the food.  The cold cut grinder I ordered was good.  The Sausage and Pepper grinder (a hot grinder) was not even warm but COLD and the cheese wasn't even melted!  The items that we were, lets say, "forced" to get were the broccolini, meatballs, and pasta salad.  But to our surprise we found two large slices of garlic bread in the box that we never asked for, nor even seen her put in it.  Maybe to weigh down the food?  I don't know.  But the broccolini, was overcooked.  Meatballs were cold, and the pasta salad was ok.  It is so disappointing to see that the food that was supposed to be hot was in fact cold.    I honestly feel that we were hustled at this establishment.  Friendly staff but very pushy.  And all of the hot items of food were cold, and hardly think that the price we paid was worth it.

The problem I have with this location in particular is that it's very hit or miss. There's like no in-between. I've gone in and things have been fully stocked, and great customer service by workers, but then other times I've gone in and they're selling rotting fruit/veg, lots of empty shelves and I've left having not gotten anything. What really prompted me to review this place though was the fact that we just got over a bad snowstorm, a lot of people were looking to replenish their food items and there was so much snow and ice on the parking lot. I saw older one's holding on to dear life by the side of their cars to try not to fall on the pavement. That to me is completely unacceptable. Everyone here knew days in advance a storm was coming, why didn't they prepare the inside/out of the store? and if you're going to open to the general public after a storm, you're not gonna plow the parking lot? Yet other stores nearby didn't have this issue, their streets were plowed and salted. Really concerning that they're not taking safety into consideration.

This discount supermarket is owned by the same company that owns Shop Rite and carries name brand products as well as their own Price Rite store brand, similar concept to Aldi and Save-A-Lot. On the way back to NY, I did some grocery shopping here recently. The place was mobbed, especially over the holiday. The produce section is the first section you walk through upon entering the store. This store actually had a decent selection of produce. I've been to other Price Rites where the produce looked picked over. The prices were fairly reasonable for bananas ($0.54/lb, seen it cheaper), lemons, avocados, lettuce, and apples. Orange juice and milk were both $1.99/gallon. Price Rite spaghetti sauce was $0.99/jar, imported Italian pasta was $0.99/lb, dozen large eggs $0.99, and Knorr noodles & sauce $0.94 each (I got this for less at the Schenectady NY store). The Pillsbury cake mix was $0.99 a box. A 10 lb bag of long grain rice is $4.99. Banquet frozen dinners are $0.99 and saw only Pepsi and Price Rite soft drinks in the store. Aisle 6 has a pretty good selection of Goya food and drink products. There were long lines at the checkout which is a sign that many people shop where the bargains are. Major CREDIT CARDS accepted.
