Fresh and at extremely reasonable prices and good quality too. I bought some goat meat that made a superb stew and unlike store bought meat the chops actually have meat on them! In this day and age where we 'only' shop at the chain stores, this place was a real treat of a find and am glad we took the wrong turn! Give these fine and fine friendly folk a try, they won't let you down.

If you want to buy some, you should call ahead. For my first visit, I came by during their posted hours, and I read a sign to honk my horn to be helped. As Mr. Austin explained to me, he is around during the days/times posted, but he might working in one of their fields. (If he knows that you are going to visit, he'll plan to be in the area of the farm shop.) He was also kind enough to explain some basics about choosing meat for what I might want to cook. He was so helpful! I'd never bought meat directly from the source before, and I'd never set out to buy grass-fed beef before (but I've been getting more interested in knowing about food sources). Every weekday, I drive by the Austin's Farm on my way to work, and I can see how well the animals are kept, and how happy they are in their spacious fields. In a sense, it could seem morbid to see the animals that might end up on my table, but I'm actually glad to know that they are healthy cows who live good lives. And, I like knowing that my purchases directly help to keep a local farm family in business. Best of all, their food just tastes amazing!! I hope you'll stop by and give it a try!! Cute little shop with a ton of Italian foods of all descriptions. Stood at the deli counter for a little while before one of the three people working behind the counter actually noticed my 6'4" 300 plus pound frame. Even though there was only one other person besides me being helped. I was excited to see that they had homemade salami on the menu so I decided to get a whole grinder. The young lady who was helping me seemed somewhat bothered that she had to wait on me. I ordered my grinder and made a quick change to it BEFORE she started making it and her disappointment was very apparent with her body language. Whatever, it was quite humerus actually. That kind of thing doesn't really bother me. Also picked up some sausage, antipasto salad, etc as well. As far as the grinder goes the homemade salami was delicious and an excellent choice. The grinder roll is massive which is what I think people are so hypnotized with when they mention the Pajers grinders are "huge". Don't get me wrong, there was plenty of meat but its large size is mostly due to the massive roll. Still, it was worth the $18 in my opinion. Cash only, so be aware of that. If you're in the area it's worth stopping by, not too sure I'd drive too far out of the way to stop in there though. Also, be prepared for some potential "spicy" customer service. Perhaps they treat their regular customers better, who knows?

A nice little grocer worth going out of the way for. The deli and meat counter has a good amount of house-made dishes, from chicken salads to smoked salmon. The really huge, well-curated cheese section is worth it alone. This kind of counter is what I've missed after moving up here! Nice selection of grocery staples with an emphasis on local/regional producers where possible. There's a small but solid selection of natural health/beauty products and gifts, too. "Well-curated" is a running theme, as the beer section stocks a ton of nicer local brews I can't find at the major chains here. The staff is helpful and friendly without being overbearing. It's definitely a worthy detour if you need groceries and are in the area.

In the store section, they have fresh cut bacon and other meats that some people might find extremely delicious. Some of the expected things like fresh produce including squash and apples are also available right now. There's also a large selection of homemade jelly, jam, and marmalade. They have two different bakery sections. One has cookies and simple baked goods, and the other has things like mini cheesecakes and eclairs. Inside the store, they also have their own wine. Lots of different flavors. I did not grab any of that today, but that will be interesting for a different day. I also recommend a hike around the conservation area :-) Grab a sandwich first!
