Since we don't routinely go up there and weren't experiencing any leaks in the house, we had no idea. Alex took photos for me, but since they aren't roof repairers, I used their photos to contact roofing contractors. The morning the Green and Clean crew (Alex and Kaelyn) came to finish the roof clean, I started getting quotes and it was looking like we were going to have to replace most, if not all, of our roof! I had every intention of paying Green and Clean to do the full cleaning job, but I did commiserate out loud how it was a bummer I was going to be getting a soon-to-be replaced roof cleaned :( . But get this...Alex called his manager himself and rang my bell, saying they would offer a *lower* price since I was probably going to have to have a new roof within a month (they would still clean, but it wouldn't be as extensive). How cool is that? I didn't even pressure him or the office to change our treatment. I so appreciated the initiative Alex took and *really*appreciated that Green and Clean were kind enough to cut us a break when they didn't have to. The team is awesome and when our new roof gets put in, we're calling them!

However, we had a number of issues but the topping on the cake was when they argued with us that they couldn't pick up our yard debris. Our yard has several trees but nothing unmanageable or like we live in a forest of trees. They repeatedly used and compacted down our own yard debris bin rather than hauling (most or even HALF of it) away in their trailer, left MULTIPLE large piles of leaves all over our yard (many visible to our neighbors and quite unsightly to look at, and one time blocked our walking path from our backyard), and have proceeded to blow leaves into more/new piles OR the same piles, making them bigger instead of making progress by picking them up. When my husband confronted them about it, they proceeded to argue very angrily that its fall, they have multiple other contracts to follow doing ours, and that we have alot of debris and it cant be picked up every time- yet zero explanation and too many excuses for the fact that they're creating MORE piles or not picking up said piles or making them bigger, making our yard look terrible and us look lazy. Other issues: -Communication- we repeatedly had to get on them about pruning one of our trees that was hitting us in the face when walking up our hill with our kiddo. It wasnt until about 3 mths into the service that it was finally done. There here are still multiple areas (trees, bushes) that are unpruned, such as our rhododendrons that are overgrown now. - Punctuality- we started our services to be done every other Friday, but there were times where they wouldnt show up or our service would be moved to a different day without communicating this with us. One time, my son and grandma were playing in the backyard and got freaked out when one of them suddenly showed up. -Incomplete/poor work quality- we dont feel like there work was high quality at ALL. In addition to the lack of debris pick up as mentioned, we now have some very muddy, swampy areas to our yard where there was minimal grass (and sunk down from all the water) that were disregarded as well. My husband asked them on multiple occasions to please treat this, such as lay top soil, fertilize, seed etc or whatever was needed (at their own expertise) to get the grass to grow back and get thicker so we could walk the yard without sinking. Lastly, my husband had asked them at the beginning of the summer when we started services to focus on weed control, which they did do a good job with. HOWEVER, my (2 year old) son's caregiver found them spraying weed control in my son's play structure area (which is just rubber mulch anyway!) instead of asking first or hand pulling any small weeds coming through. When my husband asked them what was used, we got a very generic answer that it was "organic" and the name of the product, which upon review is still not safe around kids/pets and was still a carcinogen. NOT OK! Needless to say, we fired these landscapers and won't be burned again. I'll be putting my money into a bigger, well reviewed landscaping maintenance company this time, even if it is at a higher cost.

The employee who showed up tried to charge extra for clearing leaves (which I refused), certainly did not clear the downspouts on the upper roof (I don't know if the gutters were blown clear), and had no replacement filters. I emailed Jeff that I was very unhappy with the service and I must say that Jeff did not respond with denials or resentment. He showed up in person and did not leave until I was satisfied with the job. I was sore tempted to knock off a star for the undesired rigamarole, but Jeff is a man of integrity, and that would not have been fair.

Overall, they removed the trees I wanted with no serious damage, I guess that's all I should expect anymore.

They quoted us $1,850 and promised it would look "professional and clean" within two days. What a joke. They showed up late both days, left huge piles of old leaves and branches scattered across the yard for us to deal with, and barely touched half the shrubs. The mulch they dumped is uneven, full of sticks and weeds, and they spread it way too thin in some spots and piled it up against the house in others--like they were trying to hide the fact they didn't weed first. Now my foundation is probably going to rot. The lawn edging looks like it was done with a drunk weed eater. Crooked lines everywhere, and they scalped the grass in several patches so bad it's brown already. One of my rhododendrons got completely hacked up--branches just snapped off and left lying there. When I called to complain, the owner got defensive and basically said "that's how it's supposed to look" and "you should have been more specific." We paid half upfront like they asked, and now they're dragging their feet on coming back to fix anything. I had to spend another $300 just to have a different crew come clean up their mess so our yard doesn't look abandoned. Save yourself the headache and money. There are plenty of honest landscapers in Sherwood and Tigard who actually know what they're doing. This company ruined our spring curb appeal and wasted two weekends of my time. Never again.
