They had a 3 week wait, made the appointment and so glad I did. Arrived at 8:00am, everyone so friendly and nice, and by 10:00am the motor mount was replaced. Discovered my ball bearings on the passenger side needed to be replaced also, ordered the part & gave me a ride back home. Once ready, they picked me up in my suv so I could hear/experience what an amazing job they did! Very reasonable & affordable prices, prompt repairs, professional, and love the nationwide warranty included on all parts (gives me peace of mind). J & G Auto Body Shop checked out good as I did my research and reviews, so I took our car to their shop in Greeneville. The shop has been at this site for years and is a family-owned business. We met with the shop manager, "Jacob" who took time to inspect our damage and provide an estimate for my insurance company. Jacob ordered the needed body parts and scheduled the repair for the next week. Jacob kept his promise as to damage estimate, time needed for the complete repair and was totally professional and honest from start to finish. My car was tied up a very short time and repaired as promised. We couldn't be more satisfied with J & G's professionalism, honesty and timely service and working well with our insurance provider. Ok. I have a transmission issue…read more Brought it in to determine the root-cause. They found an old (not cleared) thermostat problem that I fixed a year ago. It didn't totally close, thus not allowing the Cat o get up to temperature quickly enough. I replaced for $25 and 45 minutes, easy. Check-engine light disappeared. But obviously the code locked in. And also they said I needed a full replacement transmission. Which I don't deny may be required. , sorta. I am 71 years old, done professional car work since 17. The ONLY reason I am not doing this myself is age. But that said, before I would tear down anything I would already know what component is bad. A valve, cam sensor, etc. My symptoms are of a valve-body stuck valve, causing the clutch(s) to not fully engage. Thus I wanted a more concise explanation for why I should give them $5,000 - $6,000 to replace the entire Xmission. I really should have had a talk with the trained mechanic that could go into depth about the detailed reason it is giving me problems. But I got the worker at the register explaining the estimate to me. I have 100% confidence she has ZERO true mechanical knowledge/training past what to say. She should have called the Tech to talk to me. Had that happened I would have set an appointment to have it replaced. But given the weak thermostat ($330) ghost diag, I had zero confidence about the rest of their work. Reminds me of "give a kid a hammer and everything looks like a nail".
