I first used Terry's Towing when I got a flat tire while preparing to turn from Des Peres onto Forest Park Parkway about a year and a half ago. I yanked the car into a small parking lot and called a friend. He tried to change the tire himself, but he didn't set the jack correctly, the car slammed down, and I still have a hole in my car's floor. Beyond that, though, I couldn't drive the car, so we did a quick Google search for decent towing companies in the area (Seriously, what would we do without smartphones?) and dialed Terry's Towing. I don't know who Terry is or if he was the guy who came to my rescue. I just know that the guy came quickly (He had said it would be within an hour, and he actually arrived within 40 minutes), he was super friendly, and he hitched my car up to his truck within a few minutes. He towed the car to the Firestone on Forsyth, and it was only about $60, which I found reasonable given that it was 8 p.m. He had a travelling credit card processor (pre-Square), so was happy that I didn't have to figure out how and where to get cash to pay him. I'm not proud of the second time I encountered Terry's Towing, but I was no less pleased with their service. I maybesortofkinda got thrown into the clink for a few hours because of my expired license plates (I know, I know. I'm TERRIBLE at remembering to get the tests and renewals! Shut it!), and the county police had to take care of my car while I was singing the "Big House Blues" (Corresponding "Ren & Stimpy" episode here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5IL35uHacs). They used Terry's Towing to take the car to some wasteland of autos unwittingly abandoned by serious criminals like myself. Though I didn't deal with Terry's personally, I appreciated that they noted the hole in my car floor and the car was undamaged when friends took me to pick it up. We immediately were sent a text from them with an app that told us how many minutes it would take to reach us! R & B Towing arrived 17 minutes later. The gentleman immediately got straight to work taking out our spare, inflating it and changing our tire. He then followed us to the nearest Walmart to get a new tire. We were so impressed with the work ethic of the man and also his caring for our safety!! R & B Towing and the service employee deserve 10 stars! へ

i can't say enough good things about all night towing…read more i had called dave about a non running 1985 alfa romeo that i wanted brought to a shop. technically on a holiday. i called and asked when and if he'd be able to help. i called at 9am, dave showed up at 11am. i was amazed. dave backed the truck up perfectly up our narrow driveway, car went right up the flat bed, secured on, strap wrapped on to keep the loose hood from flying off and off they all went. met dave at the destination, again flawlessly backed the flat bed in the perfect location to be able to just push into the shop. personable, friendly, great service, top notch guy and seems to very much care about customer satisfaction highly recommended bonus points because it was pouring rain halfway through

Sixty minutes later he showed up and got the car started but it would not hold a charge. He brought a battery "just in case" but it did not fit properly, so Dave had to go back to where he got the battery from and took the dead battery out of my Kia to make sure the new one matched. He was back an hour later and installed the new battery and all was well. Dave is terrific...one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet. I kidded him how we all had towing service horror stories and that would not be in my future now that I have Dave on my speed dial. He is great in every way....and a big thank you to Dave for his patience and everything he went through to get me up and going.

If I could give zero stars, I would…read more My Kawasaki Ninja 650 has been at Jim Trenary Motorsports for about two months, and the entire experience has been frustrating from start to finish. Communication is terrible. I was told on at least 15 different occasions that someone would call me back, and I only received one callback--and that's because I kept calling them repeatedly. The biggest issue was the diagnosis. It took them about three and a half weeks just to diagnose the bike. Their Kawasaki technicians couldn't figure out the problem, even though I told them from the beginning that it was likely a welded gear caused by overheating, which is a known issue on Ninja 650s. Instead, they diagnosed it as a clutch plate issue and ordered parts for that repair. After waiting over a month and a half for the repair, they put everything back together and the bike had the exact same problem. The original diagnosis was wrong, and the bike had to be torn back down to address the actual issue. Adding to the delays, after the parts for the first repair had already been delivered to the dealership, I was informed that they had been misplaced in the parts department. From what I was told, a newer employee accidentally misplaced them. I understand that mistakes happen, but it still resulted in additional delays to a process that was already taking far too long at that point. What frustrated me even more was that after the correct parts arrived and my bike was waiting to be reassembled, I was told the technician had started working on a different project and would not be able to get back to my bike until the following week. After my bike had already been sitting there for nearly two months, I found it hard to understand why a newly arrived project was being worked on before a customer who had already been waiting that long. Even after the second repair was completed, I still wasn't contacted. I had to call them myself to get an update. During that call, I was told the bike was back together and only needed a test ride before pickup. I was then told it should be ready sometime that week. Overall, the communication, diagnosis, turnaround time, and customer service were extremely disappointing. I spent weeks waiting for callbacks that never came, dealt with a misdiagnosis that could have been avoided, experienced delays caused by misplaced parts, and repeatedly had to call for updates myself. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Jim Trenary Motorsports.
