Do not recommend. Towed my car and left a dent in my car. Extremely disappointed in their service and hours

I was driving down the road minding my own business just now on Big Bend when one of your a tow trucks came out of nowhere driving ridiculously. I don't understand the aggression. After a few blocks, there was enough room where I could put my signal on to safely get over & turn right. The tow truck driver was NOT happy with that for some reason.. All while towing a silver SUV mind you- which is another persons car on the back- they were driving aggressively & very closely to me at that point where you could hear the person revving their engine over and over. They were also going so fast on their own turn, that the car on the back of the tow truck about tipped over off of your tow truck. Come on! Do better. People need to chill out. I should honestly give this SCAM/FRAUD of a place 0 stars if it was possible. I got into an accident on a weekday on the highway, the cops came and were very helpful and offered to call this towing company for me. They arrived not much shortly after and picked the car up and handed me their card. The following morning i called to get some pictures of the vehicle. The front desk guy named Mark kept telling me to call back that he didn't have any coworkers to take the pic. mind you this was needed for my insurance claim. After about 3 days in i asked for them to stop the storage and toll the car down to me. Each time i spoke with him on the phone he was rude and very nasty. Then he told me to come get the vehicle myself even though i had settled for them to charge me and bring me the car because i had no other means. It took over 3 months to get my vehicle back, i ended up going down to pick it up and when i got there Mark jacked the price up by a ridiculous price then had that same audacity to say he gonna give me a discount price and charge me double of what i was supposed to pay. which was different from from what we agreed upon. There were countless of conversation b/w me and him for the first two weeks. When i brought that up he said we never spoke, when i asked multple times to speak to the owner he said he was the owner and than another co worker said the owner was out of town. They are all very dismissive and talk to people like crap. Called the cops they came and fake act like they were solving the issue only to say there was nothing they could do. All in cohorts if you ask me. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ANY CAUSE!!!! read more

They did tow me to Steger auto shop. Steger didn't get answers to my 2013 vw cc so I called this towing company to tow my car back to my house on Friday. The customer service guy gave me a hard from Friday to Monday. He told me I will be taking care of on Friday to Saturday and didnt get my car back until Monday. He had a nonchalant attitude the whole weekend while I called him and I believe that's very unprofessional of him. Sadly I don't know his name but would have been nice to know. I feel like I didn't do anything wrong but ask for service and was never told when and it seems bad business to me about it. read more

Generally they are good. Every tiime I've needed a tow previously, AAA contracted with Terry's Towing. So when my van needed a tow after stalling out in traffic after drop off at the middle school ten years ago, it was Terry's Towing. When I got a call that the Toyota Matrix had engine failure, it was Terry's Towing. It was disabled, but the driver was able to drive it out of the way of traffic. My insurance is through AAA, and they have a good partnership with the tow companies in town. My last tow had to be taken to the lot because it was disabled and undrivable. The operator was telling my insurance that it was there 2 days before the accident. It could be whoever entered the information was confused about the date, but I've got photos and witnesses (thank you for calling 911, you are the heroes) with the date and time. read more

Beware Terry's Towing (Lance) says they will do the work- then they tell you they will have their sister company assist and that they will handle the billing. Then you find out there is no sister company. They just sent you to someone else without your permission. They (Lance and Terry the owner) refuse to do the billing and act as if they know nothing about their past agreement. This is a scam I recommend no one do business with this company. read more

Terry's Towing was recommended by my insurance. Car broke down on 270 during rush hour. Tow truck arrived within the wait time given. The driver was courteous and even tried to help me fix the car enough so that I wouldn't need the tow. Since the tow truck driver identified the problem, I was able to have him take the car to my house so I could fix it and avoid unnecessary repairs elsewhere. Would use again. read more

Fortunately I did not have anything towed from Terry's. However, I did have one of their drivers ride my cars ass tonight on S Hanley Rd. I could see in the rear view mirror a truck much farther back with their red and blue lights on, he was in my bumper within seconds and flipping me off in his mirror! I realized this is not an emergency vehicle-you can go around me. Dumbass driver veers to the far right lane that ends at Manchester to pass me then cuts in front of someone else to go through the light at S Hanley & Manchester. I would never recommend this towing company. The driver started screaming at me in front of the manager and they did nothing. They treat woman like crap. $150 to tow across street. No customer service, just ignorant males trying to intimidate woman. I have worked in male dominate places so that's not an issue. They treat you like crap. I have used Terry's Towing on and off for almost 30 years, always with good and timely service. Today was no exception. I had a car that wouldn't start and didn't know if it was the battery or if the car needed towing. I called Terry's and without exaggeration, in ten minutes I got a call from Isaac, the driver the dispatcher contacted. He arrived at my location only a few minutes later. Isaac was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and a huge help. He determined the battery was dead, got it jumped and got me on my way in a timely manner. Because of him, what was likely to be a huge problem for me was already off to a much better start. I've always had good service from Terry's but Isaac was the best. read more

Terry's Towing lost our daughter's car somewhere in *********, ** in 2021. They claimed it was towed back to her but have failed to provide a record of where it was dropped off or any paperwork related to the return. After many months of claims that they could not find the records, in 2023 we pursued legal action. Terry's Towing did not participate in the legal process, despite being served, and we were issued a judgement against them for the value of the car in 2023. They still owe us over $11,000 based on the value of this vehicle and have not responded to request for payment read more

Very rude and shady people! they tried hiding my car from so they could sell it to make money off it, cus they know it's over a $35,000 car. When I came to get it not only did they overcharge the hell out of me, but they had it parked in their gravel lot hidden behind a whole bunch of totaled cars and other cars I guess they're trying to sell. My car was the dirtiest I've ever seen it inside and out when I got it and they hit something with my back driver side wheel and tire. as there is now a chunk missing out of my tire and my wheel I just bought last year is scratched to hell!! Whole staff acted uninterested in their own job. Spoke on the phone before coming, and was in the building twice before paying due to ZERO mention that they don't accept card. They will make you go to a liquor store atm to pay them. I greeted everyone i interacted with and the bald dude with a hook tattoo was very dismissive of me, even told me when i made my final stop to PAY HIM, to hold on while he finished swiping on his phone. Terry's used to be my go to towing service but lately things have gone down hill. I had to call Terry's three times over a period of two weeks to collect my antique sidecar motorcycle and deliver it to the mechanic and three times they flaked out with no explanation. My daughter's jeep broke down on Forest Park Parkway. Terry's towing towed us. The soft top on the jeep was down but when we got home after being towed the whole way the soft top was completely missing. Obviously it had flown off, most likely in the highway. when I called Terry's they explained they are "there to only tow the vehicle." when I asked about any safety concerns I did not get an answer. I would expect them to be concerned about safety issues, what if it had hit a car when it flew off? It could have caused a serious accident. But that is not a concern to them?!?! read more

We only call Terry's when we need a tow. I'd wait hours for them. If it's a minor issue, they will always try to get your car going before loading it on the bed. Their price and value can't be beat. read more

This company hooked my 17 year olds car without our consent because of a deal with Shrewbury police. I was out $125 when I arrived on the scene 5 minutes after it was hooked. From previous reviews it looks like they have same deal with other municipalities nearby. This is a corrupt process. They robbed us of $125.00. Don't support them and know when you go to Shrewsbury that if your car breaks down you are getting fined and Terry is collecting. read more

Was taking a left turn and one of Terry's tow trucks was going way too fast on a 25 mph road and luckily I was able to take the turn and narrowly miss being hit by this tow truck going at least 30 at the time despite me being going 5 mph right in front of him. If my car was being towed on the back of this truck I would not have been thrilled at all to hear how recklessly he was driving. read more

After a great job towing our car from BP Kirkwood to Autohaus, they have been unwilling to provide us with a copy of the receipt so that we can reimbursed by our insurance, This despite multiple calls and assurances that "they would get back to us". A great ruined by uncaring customer service. I will not use them again, not should you. read more

DO NOT use Terry's for any services!!! Yesterday afternoon, I called them to tow my car from one autobody shop to another (less than 2 miles away). Called them at 5 PM to confirm tow had been done, they said "Yes" immediately and hung up very quickly. Obviously, they didn't confirm this at all, or just straight up lied. 8 AM the next morning, I called the autobody shop (my car's destination) to confirm they had received. They said it was not there. I call Terry's back, they reassured me it had been towed. Another dismissive confirmation without even checking on it. I call the autobody shop where the car was originally, my car was still with them. Had never been towed in the first place. UNACCEPTABLE way to do business. Bottom line: Do not use Terry's. read more
