I was out of state in early January when I got a call from my daughter that the house was cold. I…read morecalled a few heating and cooling contractors in my area before calling Cooley Mechanical and was pleased that they were able to come out right away, prioritizing my situation. I was concerned that the pipes would freeze, although I had a gas fireplace to help with the inside temperature. Adam came out and diagnosed the faulty heat exchanger and explained, in depth, why the 9 year old furnace was not operating and could be dangerous. He walked me through what needed to be done and properly sized and installed a new furnace. He also connected some of the ductwork that was obstructed and/or not connected correctly. I am very grateful to Cooley Mechanical, Adam, and his crew, for the quick job that they did, the price, and the clean up afterward on such short notice. They went above and beyond to ensure that our house had the heat safely and affordable restored during one of the coldest periods of the year! Thank you Cooley Mechanical! Definitely going to "Keep it Cooley" when I have future HVAC issues.

These guys are the biggest thieves I've dealt with since owning a home. We had a water heater about…read morea year or two ago that appeared to show evidence of a leak coming from somewhere on or around the unit. Well, I'm no rocket scientist but I sure as hell don't know anything about this water heater either so I did what most of us do: Called the specialist. Lo and behold, in the end, they decide they don't know what's wrong with it, and the only thing they can do to fix our problem now is to replace it for $$$$K. Fine. We have two kids. We can't risk not fixing it. Within a week or two, we see evidence of the leak again; I'm just baffled. I go back down and put my Rick Sanchez hat on to figure this out myself because obviously going to a trade school for this obviously doesn't make you good at it, or smarter about it, right? It sure as hell didn't help the two guys they sent us. I find the leak. We have an outdoor boiler that routes using very special tubing (PEX) which is rated for the temperature and pressures through a liquid heat exchanger. These 1" diameter tubes/pipes (these are high-grade PEX) connect using a very particular connector made for the material it's joining. The connector (and the whole exchanger assembly) is about a foot directly above the water heater. One of the fittings appeared to spring a drip leak and requires replacing. I looked up the part: SharkBite 1 In. x 1 In. MNPT Straight Brass Push-to-Connect Male Adapter - $17. The wife calls and is told the owner is out of town, but it's okay because he will call back when he returns in a week. No call. Remember folks, You can call back as many times as you want and leave whatever messages and requests you want, but facts are facts. The fact here is it's been at least a good year or two since then, and still no resolve, no callback, no acknowledgment that we exist. Our previous water heater could have lasted another 10 years and yet here we are with the same problem, a brand new water heater we didn't need, but no solutions from the 'experts' right down the road. These guys are nothing more than professional scammers & conmen and as far as I'm concerned, I doubt I will ever see a call from these guys, much less our money back. If you like simply throwing your money away on the chance that this extremely unqualified (just going with the results we got folks) company will ask for then, I would certainly give it a shot. Otherwise, I wouldn't let these guys chase my dog to pick up his sh...tuff. If you are able to, please go anywhere else. If you are price matching and these guys are the lowest, then forego the potential savings and go with the better business. It will cost most people who don't figure it out on their own much more if they 'take the plunge' and hope for the best. Oh, and to the owner of this establishment. Yeah, you, the jerk who took the money from two hard-working parents trying to make a living, raise their two kids and be good law-abiding, productive citizens without negatively affecting the whole world around them. Yeah, I will post this anywhere I can find your business. I'm tired of being taken advantage of, and it kills me that my polite, kind, and quiet persona probably prevented many people the foresight into how you or your people operate. Feel free to reach out and fix what your business and those representing it broke. Or don't, no skin off your back, eh? After years I can't imagine you would care, lol. So good luck with that, and maybe stop taking advantage of others. Who knows how many people gave you their hard-earned money but did not get their problem fixed. What a scam.
