The first 9 holes were fine but the second 9 a bummer. When we got to the eleventh hole there was 6 golfers on the hole so we skipped it to get in front of them. Two holes later on a par3 two guys teed off about 5 times. Skipped that hole and fed up left the course. $53.00 dollars to play 11 holes. Would not go back.

The ball collector was on the range and was driving around with a full collection bin of balls. Such a simple problem to solve. He has balls, I could have empty bucket waiting for a refill on tee box. It might require staff to get off their butt to ensure I get the balls. A situation that might take 5 minutes. Alas, the staff is too lazy. They'd rather turn a customer away who drove 10 minutes to get to the course than get off their lazy butts for 5 minutes.

Take a wedge (no sand here), a putter and maybe a 5 iron, and you're set for the whole course. Don't expect tranquility and manicured greens: the place is right by 44, and I wouldn't be surprised if they use Nanny Goat rather than John Deere in their upkeep. They light up the course at night, they look the other way if you have more beer than balls in your bag, and I've witnessed 2 hole-in-one's on the 6th hole. A good time will be had by all.

What a wonderful place to take the family or friends. We have been to the "chain" golf centers…read more Backwoods is way better! We love the outdoor area! Lots of TVs to watch football or your golf game. Beautiful setting and have even seen turkeys hanging out. The food is great we have tried a little bit of everything. One of my favorite things is the price! Getting a lane is no problem and if you want to have some extra fun you can add some time to your lane. Not something easily done at the bigger golf centers. We have been back a few times and look forward to trying the indoor part when the weather is not a nice.
