    Biggest pancake I've ever seen
    Julia H.

The waitress was awesome! The food was kind of hit and miss. My cousin ordered the chicken and pancake. The biggest pancake I've ever seen! My other cousin had the country breakfast and an order of grits. He said the best grits he's had. My Gail's Famous Omelette was good. I asked them for soft cooked but didn't quite get it. Hubby ordered the 1 Lb Ham breakfast which came with 2 eggs and hash browns and toast. He said the country ham was really good but everything else came out cold. Cute eclectic place. Get there early! It gets packed!

This a total country breakfast experience. Decor is rustic country, lots of license plates and signs on walls. Lots of booths and tables. Servers add to the atmosphere. Massive pancakes, well made, can taste the vanilla. Generous portions for everything. Left satisfied and with leftovers.

    14" pancake

Went to Billy Gail's this morning, seated very quick. Jennifer our waitress started us with coffee and water. Gave us plenty of time to look and gasp at the food sizes. We had been before but forgot how much food you received. We ordered omelets, wife thought we needed one pancake (14"), way too much food. Jennifer out our food which was very warm, nice presented on plate and set down the pancake. We ate what we could and took home wife's omelet, hash browns my biscuit (for her), and 1/2 of the pancake. Breakfast tomorrow

[July 2025] This place is a huge tourist attraction. Parking is very difficult. We ended up having to park across the street at a neighboring business' lot that wasn't open yet. I had Gail's Famous Omelet - Ham, mushrooms, cheddar jack cheese, onions and green and red peppers. The omelet was perfect in thickness and the toppings were balanced. They omelet paired well with their garlic hot sauce. I had hash browns and wheatberry toast for my sides. My brother ordered their infamous 14" pancakes. Their bacon is crispy and thick. Their coffee was good too! My mom had a BLT with fries. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we definitely will be back when we are in Branson again.

French toast, crispy bacon, well done but raw hash browns, bacon.

This was the very worst meal we had while on our trip. The waiter Joshua was slow to greet us and once he took our order we never heard from hom again. If you want a big pancake by all means go. The French toast was mediocre and the chicken fried steak was burnt and inedible. The decorations were cute with a 70's theme. This was a big bummer for us.

    Deluxe Hash with Tri-tip

After driving overnight from Denver for our vacation, we were starving. Luckily, Billy Gail's was open and seated us right away. Our server was so amazing! I regretfully forget her name, but I want to say it was Regina (sorry, if I'm completely off on the name). We were greeted immediately upon being seated where our server told us she would be right with us after attending to another table. Once she came back, she introduced herself and told us about the specials then asked if we would like coffee. Yes, we both definitely want coffee. She went to get coffee and allowed us to look at their extensive menu. We ordered the billion dollar bacon as our appetizer. I ordered their deluxe hash with tri-tip and the hubs ordered their chorizo burrito. The billion dollar bacon was so heavenly and I used the syrup to sweeten my coffee, which was so perfect! I can put down a lot of food, but that hash came out and it was HUGE! I ate it for about 45 min before tapping out and it looked like I took only 2 bites. That hash lasted me 3 more meals! It was so delicious and I wanted to eat more, but clearly ran out of stomach real estate. The hubs' burrito was delicious too and he only ate half of it. Had it been my meal, I would have eaten the entire thing but still would have been waddling out. The MOD came by to see how our meal was and of course, we told him it was amazing! If you love country food, you definitely need to come to Billy Gail's! The prices are amazingly low for the amount and quality of food you get. Get there early though, especially on a Sunday.

This pancake was so delicious! We loved Billy Gail's so much the first time we couldn't wait to go back. This is a fun quirky restaurant! Our server was quick and friendly.

Food was terrific as usual. It is always a stop when we visit Branson. Our server was Josh and he was an amazing server! Very family friendly establishment!

    The billion dollar bacon! Yum!

Seems more reliant on reputation vs product. Food was ok. Prices are high for breakfast food. They do give you ample amounts

Great food! The pancakes were huge. Service was also good. All the portions were large so you could easily share a meal.

Great restaurant. The food was yummy! Probably not your healthiest place to eat. It can be very busy but the restaurant huge!

Ask the Community - Billy Gail's

    Is their bacon spicy?

No, it has a maple glaze on it, so it's slightly sweet.

Does this place have gluten free options? If yes, what are some of them?

    Doubtful.

Is this still cash only or do they take cards now?

They take cards. Their card machine was down part of the day Monday but I'm sure they've resolved it by now.

    Do they take reservations?

No they do not. You arrive and put your name on a list. Seems to go pretty quickly.

    Are there vegan options?

My wife has celiac disease, and they had stuff for her, but not sure about vegan options.

I thought I read someplace that you close for part of the winter. Do you still and if so what is your close?

Hi Amy, our last day open is December 21st and we reopen on March 1st. Happy Holidays!

Are they open on Mondays or Tuesdays in November?

Yes 7-2 7 days a week. This Monday not sure since it is Veterans Day but you could call Sunday and ask them

The staff are students working to pay for their college tuition so the service was great! The food was good (most ingredients on site also made by students) portions were huge, the price was decent, place was clean and much better then any touristy type restaurant near or on the strip, so much so we came here for dinner 2 nights in a row. The students are so interactive if you ask them questions and they also have the place they are from on their name tags which can be conversation starters. It does take them a little time to get through service so make sure you have a little time to wait. They serve 2 types of bread with bread service and 3 different butters alongside those. The apple butter was delicious. The first night I had the meatloaf which was very good. The second night I had their special for the night which was a stuffed chicken with spinach and cheese, vinegar potatoes and some mixed veggie side that was delicious. There is also a store area where you can buy student made items to take home with you. I wish we had a program like this near us because we would support it frequently. Definitely make reservations and give this place a try.
