This is my first ever yelp review. Thats how upset about this haircut I am. I downloaded yelp, created an account, and am writing this review. Thats how upset I am. I think she gives everyone the same kind of haircut, which is why the reviews are so good here. I showed her a picture of what I wanted multiple times and she cut WAY more than made sense. In fact, I said I DID NOT want my sideburns touched (they're not long, barbers just tend to completely over cut there, so I prefer to cut it myself at home after the haircut). She repeatedly said "You don't want the sideburns cut?" in a tone that wasn't nice, before eventually just remarking that it should be cut. I regretfully gave into the pressure and said "Okay, but I just want it trimmed please. I DO NOT want it shaved." She then proceeded to shave them, unevenly, might I add. I am very upset with this haircut, but I kept a smile on and remained cordial. I said thank you, even told her that it looked good, paid in full, and left with a (fake) smile. I did not ask for a difficult haircut whatsoever. In fact I asked for just VERY SLIGHT trim. All I hope for when I get a haircut is that the barber respects my request and doesn't give me the haircut they want to give over the one I literally ask for. Now, my sideburns are uneven, my hair is way shorter than I asked for, and I'm out some money. It'a one of those haircuts where you go "Not only was this a waste of money, but my hair looked fine before." Only a bad barber can do that. I may sound overdramatic, but a haircut is like an outfit you can't change until it grows out, which takes time. So if you're given a bad haircut, you have to wear it until you can get it recut by someone else who hopefully does a better job. Will not be coming back and will be letting friends know not to go either. Very disappointed with the haircut. If you're getting a fade or some kind of really short haircut, this may be the place for you. But for everyone else, I would strongly advise to stay away. read more

Had a hair cut spontaneously on Thursday and it was really fast and efficient. We had never seen such quick hair cut yet the result is great! The lady who did the hair cut is also very friendly. We would highly recommend it. read more

I'm local to North Bend and went in for a fade. After 10-12 minutes the lady was done. There was nobody waiting and the place was empty. I asked her to bring the fade up a bit. She told me she had already cut my hair and to come back and ask to take it higher next time I came in. I told her she didn't need to redo my cut just bring it up a bit. I even showed her a picture. It would have taken her less than 5 minutes to bring the fade up. She told me again she had already cut my hair and to come back next time. It was hard to believe she was taking this position. It would have been so easy for this lady to fix my hair cut. I paid her $35.00 and walked out. Really bad decision on her part. Hope she reads this and does things different for future patrons. I'm a woman and was referred to Bija by another lady. I trusted Bija with my hair and asked her to cut layers. She did cut layers alright. Several, unblended, blunt layers. When Bija was finished cutting my hair she handed me a mirror and I was horrified when she turned me around in the mirror. I asked her to fix the layers she'd just cut and was told that I would have to come back in four months after my hair grew out. I pretty long hair when I went in . I had to go to another salon to have my hair straightened up after Bija ruining it. There are other barbers near town, go to them and run as far away from Bija as you can. read more

Took my 15 month old son here for his first haircut after hearing from multiple families saying that they come here for their kids' haircuts. Bijia was wonderful. Entertained my kid and tried to make him feel more relaxed in a new setting before starting. She was gentle, quick and skilled. Needless to say first haircut was a success!!! I stumbled upon this ol'-timey barber pole outside a store front just across from the train station in downtown Snoqualmie. While I waited my turn I watched her cut other people's hair and she did a fine job. Then it was my turn...I discribe what I wanted. Short on sides, take 1/4 inch off the top. She immediately started a VERY short buzz cut...she tried to cover her mistake, tried and failed. Worst haircut I've ever had, EVER. Go at your own risk. read more

Great haircut for those with short hair! I came in and had a few concerns about COVID safety (some other barbers don't even wear masks) and Bija was very safe and accommodating. I asked for the quickest cut she could give me to stay near the 15 minute mark, and she whizzed around my head and gave me the best haircut of my life in about 15-20 minutes! I've had the senior stylist at Gene Juarez Men's Salon regularly cut my hair for years and never received a better haircut then I have here!
