It was totally empty on a Saturday afternoon, but the seating is sort of fun (a bit like a playground) so we climbed up onto the top level to drink our bubble tea. I had the winter melon tea with coconut jelly, Biju's fruit teas are less sweet and taste more like tea than some other bubble tea places I've tried- so it's probably a good one for true tea lovers. My boyfriend had matcha mousse tea, which he liked but when I tried it, it was strangely savoury tasting- it tasted a bit like tobacco? Smoked fish? IDK. Maybe one for someone more adventurous! The prices are pretty standard at £3-ish for a regular sized beverage- but it's an extra 50p for toppings. Overall, we liked it! I have high high expectation of this place by what they have been keep emphasising in their social media. I'm finally here to try out but it turn out to be big disappointment. My sister came to London for holiday so I thought wanted to bring her to try something new and different. She is a bubble tea lover too so I thought why not try out this. We ordered the original Assam pearl milk tea and Lychee Coconut drink. When my sister had first zip of her milk tea....... She look at me and say it taste like my usual cup of tea with milk at home ......ok. I had most of it by myself. Assam milk tea taste rather bland. Can't taste a lot of tea taste in it and she is right it really taste very much like my tea in office with too much milk. Is taste bit different from the authentic bubble tea we had in Taiwan. I really love Taiwanese bubble tea latte but this is not the same. But at least they did not lie because they already said they are unlike the other bubble tea shop. Coconut lychee wise is refreshing but is not fresh coconut water. So do not expect it taste like fresh coconut water you had in Thailand. Is more like vita coco mixing with lychee syrup and not fresh fruit again. I'm expecting it was fresh fruits. Do not understand why it taste a bit salty which I find it a bit weird. Meh. A lot of hype around this place but it's not that great. The place itself is small, uninviting, and mostly busy and rushed. It's not comfy or anywhere you'd come to hang out, although many teens do anyway, which can make the small shop feel like a sauna on a given winter night. I came here during the 2 days opening event when free bubble tea was on offer. I chose the healthier option of lychee coconut water with basil seeds and coconut jelly. It was disappointing to observe that they diluted half of the drink with tap water especially as I don't tend to drink tap water! I had expected pure coconut water with 2 toppings. I was lucky enough to visit on the first day of Yelptober and meet the owner, Nick, who told me about how the business started. Very impressive! I'm kinda new to bubble tea, having tried a sample, a long time ago at an event, so was kinda clueless as to what to choose. After a few recommendations, I decided to go for the matcha tea milk, as I know matcha was a super food, so I thought I can't go wrong! Wow what a drink it is.. It's kinda near Chinatown, but you have to walk a couple of blocks. I tried their original Hong Kong milk tea, but it just was not sweet enough. Had to ask them to make it sweeter. I quite liked this place, I caught a quiet moment and the staff were friendly and kind enough to give me time to think. Menu is not huge which is good, I would have liked abit more info on the types of teas written on the menu and the containers at the counter have very few toppings in them. Psychologically leading me to believe there was not much left but actually, they take toppings from another fridge. Flavour-wise, I enjoyed my fruit milk tea and popping pearls were tasty and slightly syrupy thick, rather than thin, leading me to think they were of higher than standard quality. Very good tea with boba (tapioca pearls). Went there in late August for tea with pearls, no milk. The tea was flavorful; ordered with lowest sugar or no extra sugar. The pearls were just right that day, meaning not firm and not mushy. Hope they are able to get the pearls just right on every day. Will return in the future. read more

Serious and true bubble tea. Really like the taro and matcha milk teas here. The matcha actually has a slight bitterness to it and the taro has a subtly sweet and starchy potato flavour. I love love love this place! I am big milk tea addict and I have to have it wherever I go. London was no exception. I was searching for a milk tea spot and I decided to check out Biju. Biju's philosophy is to serve healthier bubble teas through healthier ingredients (nothing artificial), fresh brewed tea and less sweet. I admit I was initially put off by my HK Milk Tea not being too flavorful, but I realized why it was that way. This is how a real brewed HK Milk Tea should taste and the flavors that everyone is accustomed to where the milk teas are extremely sweet is due to powder, which has lots of sugar and has artificial taste from the powder. So if you happen to come to Biju, come with an open mind. This is not your traditional milk tea spot so don't compare the two. The drinks are supposed to be healthier. If I'm ever in London again, I will be back! I wish you guys much success! We definitely need more healthy milk tea spots around the world! Cute, small shop decorated with pastels. I love their design and setup! I can see how they can get crowded easily, but I like that they designed their seating to utilize vertical space. I tried their earl grey milk tea, and I appreciate that they use loose leaf tea. I could taste the tea, but the drink as a whole wasn't as strong in flavor as I'm use to. Apparently, they use organic milk instead of the usual powdered creamer, so that might be why. They also have two different sizes of cups to choose from. If you need a price comparison, the smaller sized one is still more expensive than a regular sized one in Seattle. Overall, give it a try! Even though bubble tea is from Taiwan, the quality of their drinks outwiegh that of chinatown. I just happened to give visit and receive a 50% discounted drink after UCL won the student competition. It was an exciting experience to try matcha pearl milk tea. It was by far the best matcha milk tea I can find in London. Despite that the discount has ended, I will still pay for a visit !! Yes high quality bubble tea just like back from home in Taiwan. The tea here is really good quality and you can taste it. Friends, I have traveled the world, I have consumed bubble tea on 3 continents, including in the region of its origin, and when it comes to bubble tea, this is as good as it gets. You see, even in taiwan and hong kong, you will still find bubble tea made from powder, but tea here is made from actual tea leaves (was that ever too much to ask?). Furthermore the milk is real as well. I mean I dont know how much more I can go on, about something as simple as bubble tea: it tastes like tea, it tastes like milk, it is chewy, it tastes good. The location and sitting area itself, is an arrangement of "levels" (Like that episode of seinfeld where kramer throws away his furniture and decides to turn his apartment into "levels" of steps and pillows). Anyway it's kind of like that. I'm all for odd designs and everything, but it's kind of reminiscent of a mcdonald's play place than anything avante garde. £4 for a big bubble tea, which par for the course, not bad. read more

We were craving boba since the beginning of our Europe excursion and I was surprised there were many options in the soho area of London! Decided to come here (we have Sharetea and Coco fresh tea in the USA) to try some place new and because it was highly rated. Overall I thought the taste was pretty generic. I ordered a green milk tea with boba and thought it tasted fine, the boba was a little hard and not as chewy as I'd like. I've had better and I've had worse. I thought it was weird that there were no trash cans, people were just leaving their cups/napkins on the tables. Not to mention the layout inside is pretty small and cramped and there's no bathroom.
