I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, regardless of their experience level as it can likely accommodate any rider with even just a basic knowledge and familiarity. The tour itself was relaxing, beautiful, and educational. We frequently stopped for historical and contemporary updates on the places we visited while traversing the city and islands. The fact that there are effectively no cars on the island itself really enhanced the experience and made it feel like being out for a serene Sunday bike ride with the family. We really appreciated that at each stop she already had a nice spot picked out to take group photos and helped position and arrange us for optimal configuration and angles. I left very knowledgeable about the history of the Kensington Market area and also with a very stuffed tummy. There are a lot of options in the Kensington Market and having a guide pick things out for your group that are tried and true allows for a larger variety of foods to try and less wasted money on things you should have passed on. The area merchants that we visited all seemed to have a close rapport with Shirley which was nice to see. Pretty much everyone on our tour (6 people) were foodies, too, which just added to great discussion and knowledge sharing.

The tour is about an hour which is the perfect amount of time for this area as it isn't huge. We had 4 other people with us so it was a pretty small tour. Our guide Caeli was great. She was enthusiastic and really had a passion for the city and it's history. She was half the fun of the tour. We learned a lot in a small amount of time. The tour ended with a couple of samples of chocolate from SOMA, which were incredible and led to us going back and purchasing some chocolates. There were also some beer samples included, and while we could have walked in and got samples on our own it was fun to do it with the group and to have Caeli's commentary while we sampled some of the different offerings. Disappointing customer service experience…read more While visiting Toronto, I purchased a City Sightseeing ticket online. I was traveling solo and only intended to buy one ticket, but the booking system defaulted to two tickets and I did not notice until after the purchase was completed. As soon as I realized the mistake, I immediately submitted a cancellation request for the extra ticket. The second ticket was never used. What was particularly frustrating is that the tickets are advertised as having free cancellation. Only after contacting customer service did I learn that tickets purchased within 24 hours of use are excluded from that policy. While this may be disclosed in the fine print, it was not obvious to me when booking. I fully accept responsibility for not catching the quantity before completing the purchase. However, I was disappointed that no goodwill exception, credit, transfer option, or partial refund was offered despite the cancellation request being made immediately and the extra ticket never being used. I have taken City Sightseeing tours in multiple cities over the years and have always enjoyed them. As an Airbnb host, I have also recommended City Sightseeing tours to many of my guests looking for an easy way to explore a new city. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider those recommendations. Policies are important, but how a company handles honest mistakes says a lot about how it values repeat customers.

From start to finish, this was an extremely professional and well-organized experience. The tour guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and kept everything moving smoothly throughout the day. One of the best parts is how convenient the pickup system is -- they have pickup locations near all the major hotels in Toronto, which makes the whole process incredibly easy for travelers. There are several add-on options for the tour, and I highly recommend three of them: 1. The boat ride into the falls 2. Journey Behind the Falls 3. The helicopter ride The helicopter ride especially is one of those "you only live once" experiences. If it's outside your budget, though, the boat ride and Behind the Falls are still more than enough to make for an amazing full day. One thing I'd personally skip is the tower stop. The views are fine, but honestly the tower in Toronto is much better. Now for the one major warning: the cancellation and rescheduling policy is brutal. Even if your flight is delayed or canceled and you provide proof, you are still out the full amount. No refund, no reschedule, no flexibility. We learned this the hard way after our flight got badly delayed. I contacted them hoping to move our booking to the next day and basically got told, "good luck and goodbye." That said... the story has a happy ending. We ended up sprinting through the airport, grabbing a taxi directly from the terminal to the pickup location, and arrived at 8:03 for an 8:00 AM pickup. I had been communicating with them during the chaos and they agreed to hold the bus for five minutes. We used three of those five minutes like it was the final scene of an action movie... but we made it. In the end, I absolutely recommend this tour. Just book carefully, maybe avoid scheduling it immediately after your arrival flight, or get travel insurance for peace of mind. If you plan ahead, you're going to have an incredible time with a professional, organized tour company at Niagara Falls.
