Many of the guide-books (on-line and in print) will say that the most efficient method of getting into Toronto is by Taxi or Limo. Well, that is true. Yet, the least costly method will be to use Pacific Western's Airport Express. You can either pre-arrange your ride on-line or if you are at the airport: Terminal 1- AE Customer Service is located on the Arrivals Level Curbside Post C. Bus departs from Posts B and E. Terminal 3 - AE Customer Service is located on the Arrivals Level Curbside at Area # 25 The cost for 1 way ticket is $CAD 19.95 and round-trip is $CAD 32.95. This is compared to a cab/limo ride which can range from $CAD 45-55 ONE WAY! The downside to this service: 1) there are multiple stops, 2) these stops may or may not be close to your lodging so it may take some pre-planning or use of other public transport between lodging and the pick up/drop off location. and 3) you must really allow quite a bit of time to allow for downtown traffic and any traffic accidents, which may delay pick up and drop off times. This weekend, it took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to get from my pick up point to the airport. I had allotted only 2 hours and 15 minutes for travel, which was tight because of a traffic accident which had thrown all of the airport express buses off schedule. It almost caused me to miss my flight, as a result (flight from Toronto to USA) b/c I had to go through check-in of luggage and customs. Just to be safe, I would recommend allocating at least 3.5 to 4 hours for travel time to the airport to factor in potential bus issues.

Garry had a great sense of humor while also being earnest. We learned a lot, laughed often, and enjoyed the other tourists on our bus. 1 Star for Transportation (false advertising) The bus however, was advertised by Zoom Tours as: "Transportation by luxury minibus or motorcoach". As a former teacher who has taken students on numerous field trips, this was nothing fancier than a school bus:  the vinyl seats were horribly uncomfortable, and unlike a school bus, had no seatbelts.  To make matters worse, it appeared that the bus had zero shock absorption and poor suspension, as every nook, cranny, and bump were felt the entire trip. There were countless instances that all of us were jarred forward or up from our seats, through no fault of our driver.   Fifteen minutes into the tour the microphone began to produce annoying static until it eventually broke and did not come back on until the last quarter of the trip on the way back, which was still annoying because it was still producing static, making what the driver said undecipherable. We received a solicitous email from Zoom Tours after the tour requesting a review. I sent them a private email with the details in this review and they replied with an apology for our disappointment, an explanation, "due to an unexpected equipment change on the day of your tour, we had to substitute the originally scheduled vehicle to avoid cancelling the tour altogether". While I can appreciate "last minute" problems, this company also states that customers must give 24 hours cancellation notice in order to receive a full refund. We did not receive ANY notice of a change in "equipment", therefore not giving us a chance to proceed or cancel our tour. Zoom Tours' offer of a "small token of $50 Canadian Dollars" does not match the $294.68 U.S. dollars that we paid for something that we did not sign up for. We are very disappointed that Zoom Tours did not provide us with the ability to cancel as well their lack of adequate compensation for the many uncomfortable hours we spent on the full day bus tour to and from Toronto and Niagra Falls.

Supposedly the terminal one area/ gates have some construction and they had to shuttle us in buses to another terminal (not terminal 3) i think called IFC. And then boarded from there. We recently did the Presqu'ile National Park & Old Mill Alpacas day trip. We had lots of fun…read moredespite the iffy weather. Our tour guide Charmaine is very organized & friendly. It was so nice that everything was laid out clearly. We knew how much time we had for each activity. Our first stop was to the national park. We were getting intermittent rain alternating with sunshine so it was pretty wet. Also the park is on marshlands so even more wet than normal land! lol. We got dropped off by one of the board walking trails. It's very scenic & beautiful despite the rain. The sun came out at times. So nice to get some fresh air & there were birds, frogs, fish all around. Our next stop was at the Presqu'ile lighthouse, beach & visitor center (all near each other). The beach is small & rocky but it was so nice to be near the water. After the lighthouse we got to wander around the small visitor center. It has two single washrooms, a small history room, & a small gift shop. Next was our lunch stop at the Big Apple. There are around 4 food trucks outside the main building. There's a petting zoo also. Inside the main building there are washrooms, a candy store, baked goods, souvenirs, a burger joint & a bar. I liked the big apple but it would be hard to get there without a car. I liked that we got to pay for our own lunch because that also meant we could get whatever we want. Sometimes the day trips include lunch & has a limited menu especially for people with food intolerances. After lunch we got to go to Old Mill Alpacas. Here we got to feed the alpacas, and walk the alpacas. The owner of the farm also did a quick talk about alpacas. It was very interesting! Because of the rain it was muddy of course so we got dirty but I didn't mind as I was prepared with my waterproof boots. Also short trips informed us of weather conditions in an email before the day trip. After the alpacas we had a 30 mins break for dinner at a highway enroute rest stop. Too bad these enroute places don't have better food options. Anyway short trips has no control over that. Our drop off was on time. Overall we really enjoyed our tour with short trips. We would go on another tour with them for sure. Since we don't drive or have a car this is a really nice way to see parts in Ontario we wouldn't normally be able to see.
