Solid location for picking out a ebike or regular bike. They have a fantastic trail next to them to test it out and they have a killer selection of bikes that come in all shapes and sizes. The ebikes are the reason I came to check the place out. The service was fast easy and these guys want to help you find the perfect bike. They have a great service area for fixing and maintenance of bikes and they have some cool accessories. There is also a 15% yelp coupon for any non bike item. Which is helpful for when you are picking up your helmet or whatever you need. Evan helped me out and answered every question I had. Which was a book worth. He was fast and to the point with no bs. He walked me through everything from the battery, weight, materials, different tires, methods of upkeep and accessories. They are not on commission so they are there to help. Our old but reliable tandem hasn't been serviced in 2 or 3 years. My husband took it to Bike Source Littleton. Gary helped him unload it from our pickup. Gary and another technician inspected it right away. They checked the brakes, the wheel trueness, adjusted the brake and derailleur cables, lubed the shifter levers, lubed the chain, and checked the chain tension. The whole process took less than 15 minutes. The charge was super reasonable. Gary then helped my husband load "one sweet ride" as he called it back in the truck. 5 stars. No hesitation. read more

Have been a recreational trail and road biker since I was a kid. I've never been an avid cyclist. Brought my medium-range mountain bike in to the shop to have it outfitted for bike-packing and long distance road trips. Sales associate, Chris, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Not at all snobby like so many "bike guys" you see at some shops. Was very upfront and honest about what I needed to buy and what was a little above my rider level, saving me some money by not over-selling me. I ended spending almost $500 on accessories anyway. All essentials really. Good prices for most of the stuff I bought. Got a quality "MIPS" helmet for $70. Chris was not offended when I price checked everything with Amazon prices. Most of the prices were very comparable. He went the extra mile to install some of my goodies for no extra charge and give me some little stuff like clips for my brake line, etc., for free. Only reason I give 4/5 stars is the shop's selection was somewhat limited. They didn't have many packs. Like no frame pack that I wanted. Found on Amazon anyway, no biggy. Bought a bike on Friday, same day went for a ride 20 minutes got a flat. While paying for the bike the sales guy said they will tune the bike make sure everything is fine. While riding noticed that the stem is not aligned, they did not even ask me if I want the seat to be higher or lower. Just took the bike from the showroom and sold it to me. Terrible experience. Contacted the manager to resolve issues and give them feedback about their sales process/team the store manager could not care less and no effort to help whatsoever. read more

A younger woman was helping me, but seemed totally uninterested in doing so. I am a new rider and know little to nothing about helmets. I didn't buy yesterday so got an email from best friend today and she directed me today so went all the way to Evo and bought a $120 GIRO helmet I love! A small Women's fits so very well and looks good too! Obviously HR was much closer, but not meant to be at this time filling this need. I heard good things about them so may give it another try as I need a bike rack too. Have hitch and a rack that maybe we might be able to adapt for a ebike RadMini step-thru fat tire 67 lbs. The good: They have most products you'll need to purchase for maintaining your bike yourself The bad: Customer service is poor. Gave them my fork to send to Rockshox. I had to remind them a week later to send it in since they forgot. Brought a bike in for servicing drivetrain/replace cable. Checked on the bike a week later and they had no record of me bringing it in. They scrambled and find the bike finally. Get it back a few days later. They don't do simple walk in fixes like installing chain rings (about 5-10 minutes tops). Go to Bicycle sport if you need your bike serviced and save your time read more

My shifting cable broke and I took my bike to the shop to drop it off for service. The repair guy looked at it and asked, "Do you want me to fix that right now?" I said yes. It took him 5-10 minutes and it was cheap. The service here is always amazing and fast. They always have a ton of people ready and willing to help. They always greet you and don't mind any questions. This place has the best service I have EVER experienced anywhere! I am sad for all of the years I didn't know they existed and used other bike shops. I love BikeSource! read more

Wheel and I have been in and out of this location several times, ogling new bikes every time. The guys here are all really knowledgable without seeming too uppity, which I like. I also like that they perfectly walk the line between ignoring you and following you around like puppy dogs. Several months ago when we were in right after their opening, one of the guys made sure to tell us about a demo day at Deer Creek Canyon. We weren't able to make it over come demo day, but it was nice of him to tell us about it nonetheless - most other bike shops we've been in lately are so hands-off, they would just let you stumble upon the flyer yourself. We popped in earlier for another round of ogling, and Wheel got quite a bit of detail on his latest crush. Plus, the guy was kind enough to point out that if we weren't looking to buy right away, the current crush is likely to go on sale even more as soon as the 2011 models hit the floor. And if, when that sale rolls around, they don't stock his size, they will be able to get it elsewhere. Deal! Although it doesn't quite have the feel of my old local bike shop where they know my name, I'm pretty sure we'll be back to bring the crush home come sale time. read more

When you spend over $13,000 on two ebikes and a set of pedals and return 2 days later to pick them up, the store will not have put the new pedals on your bike, the tires on both bikes will only be half inflated, and they will not offer to help getting the bikes out of the store into your pickup truck. Worst bike shop I have ever been to. They installed my dropper post incorrectly a few years ago and when I went back to ask them to fix it, they responded with "we aren't good with dropper posts" and couldn't help me. I decided to give them another chance this week because they carried the bike I was interested in. I asked to LOOK at the bike, and was told I couldn't even see it because they just put it on hold for another customer to test ride later that day. I didn't want to test ride it. I just wanted to see it so I could put my eyes on one and hopefully put down a downpayment or get put on a waiting list for the next one they got in. These people will RIP YOU OFF. Here are my recent issues with them that lead me to believe they should either close up shop or fire everyone in it and restructure completely. TLDR: Bad Customer Service Poor mechanic diagnosis Unethical sales behavior Disclaimer...I went to this shop only because it was close to my house. I usually go to another shop (PEDAL) and have for years. Also, I've never written a negative review before, as I believe it contributes to bad karma. However, their performance was so egregious that I would be doing a dis-service by not reporting it. First, even though there are always a ton of people working at the shop, don't expect a friendly greeting when you enter. Nitpicky, I know but respect the importance of your customer...this will be a theme. I took my son's rear wheel to get serviced and they said they have no access to new parts so they recommended a new wheel for approximately $350 (RIP-OFF CLUE #1). No thanks, I'll shop around...took it to another shop (Bicycle Village) and while they struggled to find the parts, they did provide a more cost effective solution. The scenario is understandable because of recent supply chain challenges in a number of industries, including cycling. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I committed to going back when needed for other cycling needs. That day came when I wanted to get a tune-up for my gravel bike. I took it to Bike Source to get an estimate. They said I needed new brakes, rotors, new chainrings and cassettes, the whole nine yards, $550 plus for the package. I've been riding bikes my whole life and, while I'm not the most mechanically inclined, I know what stuff typically costs. This seemed outrageous and created doubt in my mind as to whether all those parts were necessary. I knew that the brakes had to be serviced so I asked them how much for that. They said the brakes and rotors were toast so they would replace those for $275.00. I said fine, seemed high but I wanted to get back out on the trail. On the day the repair was to be complete, I get a call from them saying that my fork was bent. Upon inspection it was in fact bent. I thanked them, took my bike back, and secured a new fork from the manufacturer. When I got the new fork, I took it back up to Bike Source to have them install a new seal on it, a three minute job tops. It requires a special tool so I couldn't do it myself. So, three minute job, $10 part (at most)...they charged me $45.00 (RIP OFF CLUE #2). At that point I decided to not come back to the store again. They can conduct business however they want, and charging high prices isn't necessarily unethical, but check this out... I take my gravel bike to my usual bike shop (PEDAL) to get another opinion on the brakes. Dude checks it out, tells me that their fine, except for one rotor, and they just need tuning. I buy the rotor and expect to pay for the tune. It was a five minute job, but THEY DON'T CHARGE ME! Man, I love PEDAL. A great shop run by great people. One thing was clear, though. BIKE SOURCE TRIED TO RIP ME OFF BY SELLING ME UNNEEDED BRAKES AND ROTORS AT AN INFLATED COST. They prey on people who don't know that much about bikes, THEY'RE RETAIL PREDATORS! Let me say that this is a pretty nice store. I have had positive experiences with nearly everyone that I've talked to in the shop. Unfortunately, I am compelled to give a negative review based on one employee. I had to bring a brand new, very expensive frame back due to a defect. Before hand, I spoke with the manufacturer (who is awesome) and asked that I take it to my local dealer and if they needed to get me out a new frame that it would be no problem. I took it to the nearest one, Bike Source on Wadsworth in Littleton. The issue was handled by Dan, the service manager. Dan talked to the manufacturer and sent me an email saying that they would give me store credit. I reached out to the manufacturer and said that I wasn't so much interested in a store credit. They said no problem, and would make arrangements to replace the frame and that the bike shop would be getting in touch with me. Everything is going fine so far, no problems. I waited a day and didn't hear anything from the shop, so I called the shop. I eventually got in touch with Dan who said, "What's up?" I asked him for an update on the warranty and he responded that he didn't know what was going on anymore. He told me that he was frustrated and that too many people were involved and that I need to deal only with him. I asked him what was the last message that he got from the manufacturer and he said it was a message to call me and ask me what color replacement frame I wanted. I said, "OK, do you want to know what color I want?" He responded that he was very busy and for me to decide and call him back later. I told him that I knew what I wanted, took a moment to look up the proper name, and gave it to him. He said "OK" and hung up the phone. He didn't let me know anything about whether the color option was available or how long to expect for the new frame to arrive. I don't know why he thought this was complicated. I got the feeling like I had done something wrong. While I had him on the phone, I asked him if there was a problem and he said "I don't want to talk about it anymore." This conversation was on a Wednesday. By the following Monday, I still hadn't heard anything from the shop. I got a hold of the shop and was told that the replacement had already come in. I was happy that the new frame had arrived. But, I sure didn't feel like anyone at the shop really cared about it. It's not like anything really terrible happened. I was just left with the feeling that Dan had a tantrum and decided to make the process difficult. Bikes are expensive and getting a new one is supposed to be fun. Dealing with Dan was not fun. Maybe others have better experiences with him. On a separate note, my wife and I recently had two expensive bikes stolen. After this experience, I know where I won't be going to replace them. I may not be a business expert, but I do know that the general idea is to treat your customers in a way that will make them want to come back and spend money in your store. If anyone from BikeSource is reading this, forward this advice to Dan. read more

Buyer beware. Bought a $4K Ebike, and the battery failed the first day. No biggie right, these things happen. Took the bike back to be serviced, and was frustrated that I could not get a diagnosis or next step. No updates no calls from service. Especially after having it ONLY one day. After more than a week without my Bike and no info, escalated to store mgmt. After the escalation, we called them and they said that had a battery and we could pick it up. When we got the bike home we pulled the battery and looked at it and found out they put in a lower wattage battery. I guess they were hoping we would not notice. Very unethical and deceitful. These guys are top notch on customer service. I bought a Specialized Tarmac kind of on a whim. They told me up front they would price match. While they were prepping the bike for a test ride, I called around and found it little cheaper. They matched it no problem and still gave me another $100 in store credit. New pedals anyone? I took the bike home and and waited until the next day for a first ride. As I was unloading the bike I saw two very small "scratches". Wasn't that big of a deal so we had a nice first ride. Went back to Bike Source for a final fitting. Greg had been helping me through the whole purchasing process and is very knowledgeable. I asked him to look at the "scratches" and reassure me they weren't cracks (carbon frame). He wheeled it to the back and they took photos and notes. They said they were pretty sure they were just scratches, but wanted Specialized to evaluate it. The next day even before they opened I received a call. Specialized said from the photos they couldn't rule out cracks so if I wanted a new upgraded frame they would replace it. SOLD! Within 3 days I was on a new replacement. The upgraded frame was almost the same price as what I paid for the whole bike. Bottom line Bike Source and Specialized stepped up to take care of me with me having to press the issue at all. They have a customer that will return frequently. read more

I had a rare issue with a new bike purchased from Bike Source, this issue wasn't a known issue and couldn't be replicated, all the store had to go on was my word about what the bike was doing. Mike Hernandez went above and beyond to help solve the issue to my satisfaction and to make sure I felt valued as a customer. The level of support and communication I received was much appreciated. When Mike said he would call with an update, he called, when he said he would make sure everything was taken care of, everything was taken care of. Truly outstanding customer service which is rarely found in todays world. Mike is a asset to Bike Source and to their customers. I was given a coupon for a free bike tune up (value of $150) a few weeks before it expired on 8/31. When I entered, the staff asked me where I got the coupon and explained exacerbated "Where did you get that coupon?! You are the second person *today* to bring in a coupon." They just stare dumfoundedly. So we are already off to a great start. They said it would take 1 week to get to it and asked if I am sure I want to leave it since I had mentioned that I use it daily (it appears they were trying to not have to do the work). The staff person then asked me "What's wrong with your bike? Nothing looks wrong with it." I say that I want the tune up for preventative maintenance and that my brakes are a bit loose. He says "To really make use of your free tune up, would you like us to repair this cable? It's rusted out." So first, nothing is wrong with my bike, but then suddenly I need to pay for it to be replaced? Interesting. I agree to it against my better judgement, since it was only $15. I provide my coupon and he literally throws it across the desk, clearly annoyed. At this point, I am weary of leaving my bike with them. The day I am to pick up my bike, one week later, they call me and say I have a flat tire. They say they have just started working on it after holding it for 6 days. Interesting, because when I brought it in, it was completely full and no flat and that is around where they replaced the cable. You don't just "get a flat." Seems as if they were trying to get me to pay them more money since I had a coupon. I declined repair of the flat. Also, my right brake was not looked at because it is still loose. My left one seems to have been tightened however. Also, I can get major work on my car done within 1 day. I would NEVER come here again (free or otherwise) due to the rude behavior exhibited. If you don't like to accept coupons that you GIVE OUT, then maybe you shouldn't give out coupons. read more

Same response I got at Bicycle Village "just use your phone" Lame, I want a folded trail map to take with my riding. What ever happen to a huge pull out map of trails! Have 5 guys coming to Denver area for MTB. They rented bikes from BikeSource in August for mid October riding. September 12th, BikeSource decided to cancel the rental and provide no bikes. Maybe I just have bad luck, or I don't know what but I've been to this shop a lot of times to either look at new bikes or I'm in need of a part for my current bike. I have a Yeti and since Bike Source is a retailer for Yeti, I figure they'd have just about anything a Yeti might need. Once out of the many times I've been in there, I talked to a guy in service who was knowledgeable and didn't make me feel like I was on a used car lot. I thanked that guy repeatedly and hoped that would be the type of interaction I would have with them going forward. Not so. I was there this weekend just to buy some replacement spokes so I could replace one that broke, and be ready for the next one that breaks. Right away this guy starts laying the ground work to rack up my fees! "Well, I'll need to take that wheel apart completely and make sure there's nothing else going on and measure the spoke to insure you get the right size." I said "What?!! That sounds costly?". He said "Well, not too much". First of all, I can match another spoke to the existing ones without dismantling the entire wheel - pulling the disc rotor, removing the tire as he described to me. Hell, I replace spokes without taking ANYTHING off but the wheel from the bike! My broken spoke was on the front wheel and opposite the disc rotor. Takes me 5 min or less to replace one in that location. So, I felt immediately that I was being worked. When it was apparent I was walking out, he said "well I could try eyeballing it but I can't guarantee it will fit without taking the wheel apart". I bought 5 spokes, which came out to a little over $8. Never mind that it costs about a nickel to make a spoke and you could add another nickel for distribution costs MAYBE, but all the shops are trying to push the cost of spokes to $2 now, so you can't avoid that. It's a razor blade business for them. Anyway, I get home still a little agitated and go to install the spoke before riding. Guess what? It didn't fit. OMG!! How hard is it to put a new spoke up to an old one to see if it's the same length and insert it into the empty nipple where the broken spoke was to insure it screws in??? I do it all the time! I went to Mojo Wheels a day later. Low and behold! They put the new spoke in for me in 5 min, no charge, AND didn't have to take the wheel apart!! I bought 5 extra spokes from them and will return the ones I got at Bike Source ASAP. I really hate being worked like I'm buying a used car. I guess I learned a lesson. Mojo is a little farther away for me but obviously it's worth it. read more

WOW! These guys rock! Their selection of bikes is great. We went to 5 other stores before we arrived here. When we walked in, we knew this was the place where we would be buying a bike. Fantastic customer service. We have an 11 year old missing his right hand. Everyone at the Bike Source really went out of their way to set him up with the PERFECT bike. They moved all the components to the left side (all gear settings and all breaks) and made sure the right side handlebar could accommodate his limb difference. They did all this in an hour so my son could take the bike home the same day! They treated my son as a regular customer, like they do this every day. I am sooo impressed. Will continue to go to them for all our biking needs. read more

I have been researching bikes and decided on a specialized bike. Since this was the closest specialized store to my house I decided to go there. I found the bike I wanted. The guy that helped me out didn't know the first thing about bikes or sizing. After talking to another lbs I was able to determine the correct size for me. I decided to get the next level up on the bike which was a little more in price. It was in stock but not built yet. They said they would have it built the next day. I paid for the bike up front. The next day and I'm still waiting for the bike to be built. And they keep saying they will call me when the bike is done but I have yet to receive a call. After repeated calls to the store they said they will get right on it. We will see about that. Anxious and still waiting read more

Took my bike in for a simple tuneup on August 3rd at 3:10 pm. I waited for over 5 minutes by the repair area and was completely ignored. There was a male service employee who walked by me and began working on a bike in front of me but ignored me the entire time. There were two other employees male and female behind the counter chatting to each other and they too ignored me even when I walked by them bringing my bike back to my vehicle. In fact, one of these employees was the girl who I spoke to as I entered the facility and told her I needed to get a bicycle tuneup. So she knew I was there but didn't bother stating anything to me or even giving a courtesy goodbye. I guess these guys don't need the work or the money so I'll take my bicycle to REI where I can get some real service. The fact management doesn't even respond to negative reviews proves they don't care. I'd stay away from these guys. read more

Brought my wife's bike in for a tune up and while I was there bought a tire & tube & some grips to install myself. Good job on the tune up but when I got the bike back, the seat was broken ( I tried to fix but ended up replacing) and a reflector on one of the pedals was busted. When my wife was in there she said she saw the bike fall off the rack while she was talking to the service tech. If you trust them with your bike, you trust them to take care of it.
