My Tag Heuer Aqua racer watch never really worked well. It's Auto winding feature never worked from day one, when it was purchased at Jared's as an Anniversary gift to me 15 years ago. After speaking with a smooth talking receptionist at Jared's about what a fine timepiece it is and how they have to mail it to Switzerland to the factory to be diagnosed and repaired at a cost of $500 plus, I knew something had to give and began my Yelp search for a reputable watch repair shop. And so here we are. I found this awesome little watch shop just off of I25 on Arapahoe. As I walked into the lobby and was studying the Tenant listing, an older gentleman came in and after a brief discussion concurred that he and I were going to the same place and that he has been going here for years with excellent results. Long and short of it, James repaired my watch for a fraction of what the Fluffer-Jared people were offering and I will be gifting it to my son. I brought in a desk clock that had a watch insert in it. The watch insert said Movado. I asked if he could fix it and he said it needed a new movement. This was on April 18, 2024. I have called several times and he said he couldn't get a movement for it. I paid $45 for the repair and shipping it back to me. This is second time I have used LWR (very good Omega service about 3 years ago). This time, I booked an appointment for a battery change knowing I would be able to get to Hatton Garden late morning, 23/5/23. I have a small collection of vintage Swiss watches. The office is on the second floor of a building that looks more like a dorm than office space. The space is small but everythign that you need for watch repair and more. It took 5 minutes to remove the links and ensure the watch fit my hand correctly. For $10 it was a bargain. They were also nice enough to clean an old watch I still wear. It looks better than what I remember it as new (over 17 years ago!). While the watch was being cleaned I glanced over jewelry that the wife makes. I ended up purchasing a beautiful gold pearl bracelet for my fiancee. She loved it. It was very affordable and there were many other options for jewelry in the space. Nu Way also sells new watches. Called and the Lady said I would need to talk w/ James, the Watchmaker, concerning the missing second hand on my 121 yr old Omega pocket watch. Knowing the parts for antique Pocket Watches are very hard to find, having called all over town , I thought I would hear "we don't sell parts and only work on Modern watches" as I had heard from all the rest. James says bring it in and I'll find one that will Fit, I will need to look through my old stock and call around but we will get it right !! If you look online they want $50 and $20 shipping to have you then put it on (how I lost mine) James is charging less than 1/4 of that and putting it on !! OMG true lifesavers! I slipped on some ice yesterday and fell outside of my garage in our complex. Unfortunately, the damage wasn't just sustained to my body... I happened to be wearing my Omega Seamaster, which took a pretty hard tumble. The pin holding the band to the time piece broke off, causing my watch to come off of my wrist and slide on the ground. Luckily, I found Nu-Way Watch Repair on yelp and am SOOOOO HAPPY I did! I brought my watch into them today and within five minutes it was fixed and good as new. The guy listened to it and said it appeared to be in working order. He said if there was anything wrong internally, that there would be a good chance none of the chronometers and dials would be running smoothly. And the best part is, it only cost me $5! I called a place in Cherry Creek who quoted me around $55 to get it looked at and fixed!!!! I know where I will be taking all of my timepieces in the future! I took it to Nu-Way Watch Repair/Mauzie's Fine Jewelry, based on the yelp reviews. The office is hard to find because it's in what appears to be a converted apartment complex. I'll save you some driving around in circles; it's in Building B (south side of the complex, second floor). I went to get my Watch Battery replaced. The service was Quick and inexpensive. Two watch battery replaced for $18.00 in approx 10 mins. Doesnt get any better than that. And he went extra Mile to clean my Watch/Band too. I will use them again. And definitely recomend to my friends. Also, Today, I went to get the battery replaced for my another watch and make my band smaller. He did it while I waited and noticed that the watch had some fog like residue built in the glass. He voluntarily clean it up and did not even charge me for it. So Cleaning, Battery replacement and reduce the band size.. ALL for $20 bucks. Nu-Way Watch Repair is my new go-to watch repair/battery replacement store. They are so friendly! They make you feel like a million bucks, but only charge you a few dollars. For example, James charged $40 to replace 4 watch batteries. In contrast to this, Matheu's Fine Watches charged me $235.70 + tax to replace batteries in 6 watches (2@ $45.95 ea. = battery, reseal and pressure testing; 4@ $35.95 = Battery). These were not Rolex's. I could have purchase a very nice watch for $235! I was talked into the pressure testing for my 2 diving watches. I was the one who got "pressure tested." Frankly, one of these "diving" watches is a fashion accessory. The only way this watch will experience 50 feet of water is if I'm the victim of a mob hit! (In that case, stop reading this review and call the police!) James gave me a choice between the pressure-testing/reseal option or without pressure testing. And he fixed them all while I waited. I didn't have to make a second trip! Additionally, they have a very nice custom jewelry store. The pieces are hand made and unique. I plan to do a lot of shopping here in the near future. They are a little hard to find in the business park. This minor inconvenience is a small price to pay for this gem of a store. I highly recommend Nu-Way Watch Repair. read more
