The staff here is fantastically friendly and helpful, but there's not much you can do in the dark once class begins. Guess it's back to the drawing board on finding something I can execute!

I walked in with a friend and we were greeted immediately by the friendly staff and given shoes to wear. We were brought to the lockers and seen the super cute lockers personalized for us! This is such a small thing but it was so nice of them to take the time to welcome us by writing a little welcome message on each of our lockers. Okay so now about the class. The shoes click into the bike pedals and was helpful so your feet don't slip during class. The class was a bit intense for a beginner, but in a good way! It was definitely very motivating! The lights go down low, music goes up and the instructor is talking the entire class telling us what to do. They also have a screen that ranks everyone who is in the class, but it's not up the whole time. I also felt like it was a diverse group of people and not once did I feel uncomfortable or out of place. They have a ton of great promotions to take advantage of and email you frequently. They also text, which honestly I really prefer over calling when I want to speak with someone. I will definitely be going back soon!!

Let me start off by saying the staff was super helpful and friendly, the location was clean and they had everything you need. Clean bathrooms with amenities, water and storage lockers. The instructor KILLED the class! He was high energy and super nice! He made the class easy to follow and I got a killer work out! It went by so fast before I knew it I was on mile 11. I've gone to many cycle locations before and this one by far was the best. I have a cycle bar in front of my building and this is one about .8 miles away but I will be joining this one as it was a great event. I got the chance to meet our yelp manager Alex and he was super friendly with great energy! I will be back!

I am hoping that it was a glitch in that damn weight scale machine which it probably was because all I ate was a plate of the typical Thanksgiving food, plus one-half of a whole apple pie, hehe. And it probably did no justice skipping a few workout days, too. I was excited for this opportunity because CycleBar has been one of my bookmarks for sometime now as I'am secretly seeking out a spin studio. And out of a list that includes Studio Three, SoulCycle, and Cycmode, its location fits perfectly because it sits within a 3-mile radius from my apartment and easily accessible via CTA Morgan - Green line. Visiting CycleBar for the first time, it appeared smaller than I imagined, yet clean and well-kept! And prior to the start of our spin class I peaked inside the restroom which had this homely-like touch. The studio itself had an amazing appearance and I loved that our workout results were visual because it motivated me to put out extra effort near the end. Oh, and being a road cyclist, I felt well in my element wearing clip-in bike shoes, clicking in to the pedals on the spin bike. The spin class was wonderful! And the instructor, Jaxson was energetic and encouraging. Being that I had not taken a spin class in sometime my rhythm was terrible despite enjoying the music in the process, but I still had fun and hung in there. Not bad, CycleBar! After the workout my legs were so stiff that I struggled walking up the stairs at CTA Morgan. For that, thank you, Jaxson ~Blessings all~ Thomas G

Been using class pass to try different fitness studios and this was high energy fun. Knocked out 8.3 miles in that short time so I felt good about my workout. Studio is easily located off Division between Damen and Ashland. Some meter parking nearby. Studio was clean, inviting and accessible. Class holds about 20 - 25 students. In my class there was 7 people well spread out. The music was loud but not ear busting. I was able to borrow riding cleets for my first class for free. Ordinarily I think you can rent for $2. Studio itself has adaptive machines for those with limited mobility. I thought was super cool that they had two of those machines. I saw a gentle men wheeling in for the class after. He looked pumped to get his workout out. Workout: 45 minutes including cool down and stretch. I feel like I burned some good calories. My face was soaked with sweat. Ride consisted of low and high RPM songs. Good mix of music. Instructor was good at making sure recovery was included after strenous climbs. I would suggest arriving at least 10 minutes before class if first time to adjust bike. Bring water and towel. Wear good sports bra for medium impact if you have larger breast.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in and walk through where the lockers & class was. Bikes are first come first serve. During your first visit, shoes are free! But after that, $2 to rent (and you definitely need them so it's an added expense if you don't own a pair) Since it was my first time, I was helped on to my bike and settled. Class vegans right away. There was a quick intro for the few first timers, but other than that, we jumped right in. I deducted a star because it was really beginner friendly since most of the other riders were regulars, so it did feel a bit intimidating. Music was cool but will try it again in the future.

Nonetheless, it is a 45-minute cycling class where you are absolutely going to sweat uncontrollably as you cycle while sitting, standing, and using weights. Don't worry, they provide a towel! Shout out to Coach Isaiah! Isaiah tells you and shows you their love for choreography with their inspiring dance moves on and off the bike. Book Isaiah's classes the Monday before the following weekend to higher the chances of you getting in. A parking garage is connected to the building at 224 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60601. It was an interesting experience - I walked in and was "greeted" by deafeningly loud music, just in the check-in area! It wasn't that busy, but the staff took awhile to acknowledge people. Still, things looked up, and I give them credit for turning the music down out of their own volition. My friend (who has reviewed this same location on here!) arrived, and we braved the human crush that flowed out of the previous class. Finally, after dodging people who were fans of standing in the middle of where people were walking, it was time for class. By the way, I asked if there's wifi, and I was told no. I then mentioned seeing a network (since I looked by then), and the guy mentioned something about it being only for "the back area," likely for staff only. That's fine, but would a public network kill them? It's 2026, and it's pretty weird and inconvenient to not offer this. I also find "weird and inconvenient" how the shower cubicles don't lock! The class itself was the standout, and it's why, even with some criticisms, it's still not 3 stars. I was surprised with how much they pack you in like sardines, and the people helping set up bikes were no-nonsense yet helpful. It was also quite hot, so whatever AC and fan combo they had, it wasn't too powerful, and it didn't really get toward the back. I was also not used to how far down they put the handlebars, but most people are! The instructor we had was Nas, and she was wonderful. Not unlike Peloton instructors, she is positive and encouraging, but not in a way that feels forced or cliche. She talked a bit about her own anniversary of moving to Chicago, which was fun to hear about. I couldn't believe a 45 minute ride flew by as quickly as it did, but that's a credit to her motivational techniques and sense of fun. I wish that was reflected elsewhere in the studio, but perhaps someday.

It's clean, has lots of cardio equipment, strength equipment and great classes. I've taken 2 HIIT classes so far and they were well taught and targeted the entire body. I was so sore after them but it's exactly what I was hoping for. In addition to the equipment, there's also a running track, a basketball gym and a sauna. Right next door there is also a cafe. I haven't tried anything there but it looks nice. For the most part parking is easy to find, either on the street in front of the lot just east of the facility. One of the best aspects of the gym is the value. For my husband and I, it's only $25/mo for autopay. We love working out at LCFC!!
