We found out at our first pediatricians appointment the day after we were discharged from the hospital that our baby's bili levels necessitated at home treatment and were referred to Bili Blanket Baby. Setting up home delivery was a breeze and when delivery was slightly delayed a couple of hours because of traffic during the LA fires the team was communicative and went above and beyond to accommodate us and make us feel comfortable. The CEO went as far as providing her personal number so that I could personally reach out to her with any questions I had once we received the blanket. We found out on a Friday afternoon at 3:30 that our 3 day old son would need phototherapy. After 1 call we had the biliblanket delivered to our house and on our son by 6:30! The customer service was phenomenal, kind, and they had a genuine concern for my son and our circumstance. The service was freaky fast and made the process easy like ordering pizza! Not a fan of this service. They started out fine. The blanket was delivered quickly and they called to follow up, and sent a replacement the same night when the first one wasn't working. I finally got the blood results back from the doctor's office over 24 hours later saying she didn't need the blanket. But since it was past the 24 hour mark, we ended up paying for TWO days. The company does not work with insurance, so we paid out of pocket. My insurance company issued the reimbursement directly to Bili Blanket, so I called to ask them to send that money my way. That would've been such an easy remedy, but they refuse to cash insurance checks and send the refund to the client. For some reason, this is very confusing to the insurance company and here we are, a year later, and I've still not gotten my refund after several calls to insurance and Bili. Sure, it's not their fault that that insurance did things in a less-than-ideal way. But the fact that they refuse to work with me and instead put this impossible and infuriating task on the shoulders of a brand new mom is extremely frustrating. Especially when it turned out I didn't need the blanket at all. I would not use this service again. If it's bad enough, we would go to the hospital. Otherwise, I will get some filtered sunlight and lots of food to help flush it out and avoid this headache and lost money. read more

Our little one spent an extra night at the hospital to be treated for jaundice. However, after being discharged, her bilirubin numbers spiked and we were told we would either have to return to the hospital, via The ER, or try at home therapy with the Bili Blanket. What could have been a stressful situation, was the complete opposite. The reps from Bili Blanket called me within 15 minutes of my dr placing my order, and they delivered the device within 2 hours - Allowing for us to get our daughter back under the lights ASAP. This company will bill you before you can get them the insurance information for your new born child. What a way to start off after leaving the hospital with an outrageous bill. This company is just out for the money and can truly care less about a newborn or their parents. Do yourself a favor and avoid using this company. First thing first, this company SAVED my boys life. Jaundice is something that can be controlled but does need attention and can't go unmonitored if levels do reach a point. Second, here is our story--we had our sweet baby boy who was jaundice. You could see it right away. We were told it is pretty okay for babies to not really eat their first 24 hours because of how tired they are..etc. So we just did as the doctor or nurses said and didn't really feed him. I was giving him barely any colostrum but he wasn't latching well. Finally my breast milk came in so we started feeding him that after probably 36 or so hours of being unfeed. He took to it like a dream. I felt great because there is such a pressure to produce milk and I was providing for my baby. His levels went up and then they told us go to formula to help get his system "flushed" with the breast milk. So I did that and his levels weren't going down. We had to go into the NICU where we continued to do half and half. We were discharged but his levels were still high but they said breast feed and they'll go down. Well we went up 6 levels in 24 hours and demanded answers. They told us it was my breast milk. Full of frustration, I reached out to 2 other moms who were in my situation and they told me to demand a biliblanket and stop feeding breast milk (although advised against it by all nurses) I just wanted my baby better. So we went into the next appointment, not wanting for our boy to go any higher for risk, we demanded a blanket. We used the blanket and formula for 48-72 hours or so and his levels dropped immediately. It truly truly saved our boy because the track we were on, was a trial and error which I never ever want for my newborn. The blanket wraps around so they are never uncovered and you can still have time with your newborn. It's safe, innovated and frankly, needs to be more of a use and public knowledge this is an option especially for moms who already go through the roller coaster of emotions post pregnancy. I cannot express the type of gratitude I have for this company and delivery is within 2-3 hours depending. It's fast. Easy. Stressless snd you get to be home with your baby. Emma makes this process as smooth as can be. I recently had my second go-round with a jaundiced newborn and I had the doc's order and blanket within an hour. Simple pick up, simple drop off, with clear easy to follow instructions and videos (helpful format for sleep-deprived new parents)... but that's not the best part! Thank goodness this company is in Denver. We went through the light therapy bed with our firstborn and I wasn't about to do it again with our second who really disliked the bed as well. We found out about Emma's product while at the hospital after the birth of our son. We had him under lights for 24 hours and Christmas Eve came and we were worried we would have to spend another night and Christmas in the hospital. Emma was available and supportive even over the holidays and really fast to respond! You just can't beat small company, one on one service. I would have rated it 5 stars, but the lack of insurance acceptance when you have hospital bills and leave from work to worry about is unfortunate. We were only able to use Bili Blanket Baby in the few days we had to wait for another company, that takes insurance, to deliver our supplies to us. Financially we're glad we made that choice because our baby was on the lights for over 2 weeks. But having the blanket in the few day gap was a life saver. If you can swing the out of pocket cost for awhile, I would definitely recommend Bili Blanket Baby! If you have to use a competing company- be prepared for a several day wait and some confusing insurance transactions. read more

We are so thankful for Emma and Bill Blanket Baby. We had been at home for a couple days when we noticed her getting more jaundiced. When our doctor tested her and told us she needed light therapy we were dreading having to go back to the hospital. My nephew was treated at the hospital and all his parents could do was hold his little hands while he was under the lights. With the bili blanket we were able to hold her, nurse her and lay her down in her bassinet to sleep. All while still undergoing therapy comfortably in our own home. After a day of therapy with the bili blanket her bilirubin count was in the normal range. Now our little one was only moderately jaundiced so it may take longer for a more severe case. Emma was incredibly responsive and supportive throughout the process. The blanket was deliver to our home within 2 hours of ordering it and they also picked it up.
