I had a gas stove problem. Gas smell was a concern. Called Bill Baker and a technician came out. He looked over the problem and was here about 10 minutes. Adjusted a flew and was done. Only charged 172 dollars plus tax. 90 for the service call and 82 for the fix. I paid but was flabbergsted at the total. what do you think? read more

My experience with Bill Baker's Appliance repair was awful!!. Initially the repair they made to my 4 y/o LG stove was fine. The oven stopped working and they replaced the relay board. It worked fine for approx 5 months. Then the oven stopped working again. It gave me the same error message and code as the 1st time. I called LG. They would not help. I called Bill Baker's and they gaslighted me for a month. I was told they were waiting on answers via email from the parts supplier and then the regional mngr. Of course those answers never came. Any contact I had with this co. was me initiating the call. They NEVER, not once called me back even though I was told repeatedly they would call me with a possible solution. So I decided to write an email to Bill Baker's. But alas their website has been down for a couple weeks. I encourage all to go elsewhere for appliance repair. My oven is still not working. It is quite obvious they are not going to back their repair. Plus the gaslighting and general way they dismissed me and my problem proves they have really poor customer service. Will never use them again and if you are thinking about using them all I can say is buyer beware!! read more

Bill Baker sent a repairman to fix our noisy gas dryer which needed a new idler pulley and drum belt. The repairman was excellent. Kevin quickly found the problem and fixed it with parts that were priced okay. My complaint is with their billing: I was charged not only for labor: $82 but also a service call of $80. (I think he was in and out in about an hour, not positive but he wasn't here an inordinate amount of time nor was it a difficult repair to diagnose or complete.) Had I known this was their policy I would not have used them. Nor will I going further. I called and inquired if this was common practice in the industry, because I don't believe it is in other segments: auto repair, plumbing, etc. The person I spoke with told me this is what they've done for the 70 years they've been in business. I admit this is my fault for not asking up front and told the company representative that this is on me for not asking first. So beware if you use Bill Baker, you'll get good service and you'll pay $80 extra for it every time. read more

I had a similar experience as Joan G. has posted here. Had a service call with them. Guy came out, charged me $79.88 for the 10 minute service call. Told me I needed 3 parts for my washer. (2 of which they replace less than 2 years prior by the way.) Anyway, I was told he would call later that day or the next with price. I got a call the next day, but it was as if they never looked at my washer. Guy said he was scheduled to come out and look at my washer. I said you were here yesterday and are to call me back with price. He said "Oh" and then "OK" and hung up. I never did get the call with pricing. Granted I was probably going to say no and would get a new washer, but the point was I didn't get what I was promised for my $80. Done with them. If this post keeps one person from paying them $80, only then will I feel I got my money's worth. A customer shouldn't have to chase with phone calls. It's good customer service to do as promised and paid for. read more

Today I had the pleasure to do business with Bill Baker's appliance for the second time! They had helped me repair my gas dryer with advice and parts sold by them a few months ago. Last night, my 10 yr old washer was not working properly, I called them and they came out the same day due to an appointment cancellation. I'm very pleased with the senior serviceman they sent, he was very honest and helpful. It turned out it was a maintenance issue and no expensive repair was needed!
