They made it right! I bought a Bosch dishwasher from Stewart's a few months ago and had issues with it. The service department was quick to respond to each of my concerns and inquiries. After sending a technician out twice, Stewart's decided to send me an even better dishwasher rather than wait for Bosch to try to repair it again. I love my new dishwasher and am very grateful for Stewart's making the situation right! I also bought a washer and dryer from Stewart's and love the appliances! My refrigerator, that had been giving us annoying problems such as noisy fan (that made me think it was on its way out) and not being able to adjust the temperature, even though we followed the manual, causing food to freeze in the refrigerator side. Finally, a water leak was the final straw and we headed up to Stewart's on Cleveland Street to look for a new one. We found the right size, style and and features in a beautiful black Maytag French door model. We were assisted by Brody who was extremely knowledgeable about the features of each refrigerator we looked at. No pressure, just help! We wrote up the order and delivery was scheduled for the following Saturday. The following Thursday, however, our nearly 25 year old washing machine broke down. Upon weighing the cost as well as the advantages/disadvantages of repairing an old washer, we decided to buy. Limited by the size in the depth of the machine we shopped on-line, taking print outs of some that seemed to work out for our needs and headed to the store on Friday morning. As with our first visit to the store, the salesman, Tom, helped us find the size we needed and was extremely knowledgeable about the features of the washing machine. As we wrote up the sale, he was able to get the washer on the same truck as the refrigerator and we got both appliances the very next morning. About delivery; it was fantastic. The two men were efficient, friendly and also knowledgeable about the two appliances, going over everything with us to answer any questions we might have. I love my two new appliances that work they way they should and the great care of everyone at Stewart's! Called Stewarts appliance to see if they would match Home Depot prices, and was told that they would. Decided to go to Stewart's because it is a family business. Made the trip to Elyria to purchase my refrigerator, even tho they were $200 more than Home Depot, after all, the match, right? Wrong!! After arriving at Stewarts and picking out the frig, I was told that they couldn't match the Home Depot price! Apparently Home Depot was running a sale, and Stewarts didn't want to match the price. We were in the market for new kitchen appliances and had researched Brands and Sales on line, even physically visited other Box Store appliance departments to see what they had. I initially didn't think about Stewart's Appliances as an option, because I thought they would be more expensive and not have a big enough variety of styles and Brands of kitchen appliances? But I saw their End of year sale advertised,on-line, and in the paper too, so we decided to stop in there anyway. I was SO HAPPY we did. They coincidentally had all the brands I researched and liked, and were true to their sale price, which were actually better then Best Buy and Home Depot in pricing, and even had EVERYTHING available in their warehouse for a quick FREE delivery! Our salesman Tom, was very friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs without any high pressure sales pitch. We were overall pleasantly impressed with the variety of brands, the service, the pricing and the availability of a full kitchen of new LG appliances. Give them a try! I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator September 4 2018 and took out a 5 year warranty. Had Stewarts repair guy here yesterday March 11th.Frost was on the inside of the freezer. Repair guy said there is a leak some place. He called his service manager. The service guy mentioned returning it and getting a refund. I get a email from the service manager and she is passing the buck to another company called Fred's Appliance and they want to charge me $109.00 for the service call. The refrigerator is still under warranty. I email the service manager and told her I would rather have them come and get this worthless refrigerator and send me the refund. I will get another refrigerator from a more reliable company. They are just ignoring my emails. All the food in the freezer was tossed out this morning. Great service and prices. Needed a new washing machine ASAP. Checked the local big box stores out of habit. Was passing Stewart's on my way home so out of curiosity I stopped. Great salesman, very friendly and helpful. Placed an order for both a washer and dryer. They both arrived as promised 2 days later. The delivery guys installed both new appliances and removed the old ones. These machines have been working flawlessly for 2 years. We need a new dishwasher. Very great place to buy appliances especially if you wish to bundle your purchase. People working here are great. So my rant is going to be directed at LG. After 6 months of owning my refrigerator I noticed blinking lights to change my air filter and water filter. I ordered these from Stewart who procured them from the manufacturer. I drove out to the store today to pick up 1 water cartridge and 1 3 inch by 3 inch filter. The cost for these 2 items after owning this fridge for 6 months was 90 dollars. I was not happy. My last fridge was 26 bucks every 6 months and the water its dispensed was just as good, really the same. Just beware of the hidden cost folks. And to my friends at Stewart please fwd this to LG- let them know that they are gouging their customers for after mkt maintenance items. read more

We could not have had a better experience with Stewart's. We went in with a particular washer in mind, and just had to decide which features we wanted. The salesman was friendly but not pushy, and explained everything the washer did. Once that was done, he left my husband and I alone to debate the finer points of steam, capacity, etc. until we had reached our conclusion. Scheduling delivery was easy, they arrived within the two-hour window they promised, and they were in our house all of 15 minutes. That included disconnecting the old washer, hauling it away, and installing the new one (all free with purchase). The delivery guys were courteous and made sure I was happy before they left. Appliance shopping is not exciting, but skipping the big-box stores and buying from this family business was rewarding. read more

I was very impressed with the wide selection available. I was convinced that I was going to have to give up features that I wanted in order to find a counter depth refrigerator, but after a few minutes talking to Mike and telling him what I was looking for he lead me directly to what I had in mind. I was able to build a complete kitchen around that selection. Since this is all part of a remodel I was able to delay delivery until I needed them. The delivery guys were amazing. They were so careful and respectful of my house and appliances. They really cared to do it right and took the time that they needed to safely get my appliances situated without damaging anything! We have been purchasing appliances for 40 years from Stewards never had any issued until today. My husband and I went looking for a new dryer and washer. The associated that approached us seem distance and not thrilled that he had to get up off a chair and assist. That should have been the first warning sign that he did not care if he made a sale today or not. After asking several question and him being short me us. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. As we were leaving he proceeded to let us know that the big box store did not sell dryers that ran on propane. That was the only good advise he gave us because it saved us an additional stop. We ended up at a home appliance store in Avon and was greeted by a friendly associated who was happy we walked in. We ended up not only purchasing a dryer and washer, but a new stove, refrigerator, and dish washer. The prices were just as good as Stewards and even better on a few other items. W read more

Buying new appliances can be tough. My washing machine died and I needed a new one sooner than later. I checked our HH Gregg, Sears, and Lowes before I looked into Stewarts. They had free delivery and removal of my old one when the other places charged almost $100, so I leaned towards them right off. This is a family owned place with a nice selection of all kind of home appliances. They even were having a cookout when I got there and fed me while I looked around. I ended up getting a scratch & dent one that was originally $800 for $500. It only had a little dent on the side and wouldn't effect the function at all. The salesman was nice and not pushy, and they delivered and installed it 2 days later. I didn't need to wait around all day for them, they were there right when they said they would be. They were in and out in about 15-20 min. I'm very happy and will check them out again when the next appliance dies. read more

Our refrigerator broke down and we needed a new one asap. The Stewarts salesperson discussed repair options with me as well as buying a new fridge. Once I'd decided on the latter, he arranged for delivery the very next morning. Our house was built in the 1850's, so you can imagine that the doorways are far more narrow than those in a contemporary house. The delivery men expertly maneuvered the old fridge out and installed the new one. They even wiped up the mud they had left in the entry way before leaving! I always try to buy local and stay away from the big box stores. Every appliance in my house has come from Stewarts, some are even the second or third purchase. Today I called for service and was told just to come to my house was $89.95 and then $20.00 for every 15 minutes after. Then parts and labor on top of that...really!!! I've had a couple of "interesting" experiences with the service / parts aspect of this company. 1st was a few years back when I had to have my dishwasher serviced. The repairman ran a diagnostic on the unit. Then told me what it needed. He came out again and installed the part that didn't fix the problem. He then said it was a different part causing issue and the "less than kind" lady running service put up a stink and did not want to refund for the incorrect part from a bad diagnostic. She was not professional at all. The second was today which prompted me to write. I needed to purchase a part. Same lady quoted me a price of $48 + tax for a simple dryer switch that I got online for $19 + $4 shipping. I try to use local businesses, but sometimes they can take advantage of their local customers, so one needs to do what one needs to do. So I guess if you are in a pinch, be prepared for sticker shock. If you can wait, I would suggest getting it elsewhere and not get reamed. read more

Lots of bad experiences there. I called to ask if they sold blenders--the lady sounded annoyed and amused, said no! Before hanging up she repeated the request to others there and they laughed. I went there to buy a video player, waited for the salesman to finish with someone else, but he ignored me and approached some guy who just walked in the door. I bought a TV and stand there for $1200. A few years later the TV needed repaired. They could not figure out what was wrong, didn't fix it, and charged me $30 to get it back. I took a Sony stereo there for warranty work (Sony sent me there), and they refused to do it under warranty since I bought it somewhere else. I bought a $400 Amana microwave there. The salesman wrote on the receipt that it came with a warranty for some years, but within that time they refused to honor the warranty because they said that it never existed. Being a loyal customer I also bought a washer and dryer there. It dawned on me after many years that I've had these problems there. There are plenty of places to go and get a better deal. read more

HAD TO FILE COMPLAINT WITH CREDIT CARD TO TRY AND GET MONEY BACK. I've never had a worse purchasing experiance. I ordered a new, not scratch and dent, dishwasher. They brought me a BROKEN dishwasher, that I couldn't see how damaged it was from inspecting it for a minute while the installer was there but was painfully obvious when I tried loading -- The bottom rack won't roll in and out. I had many conversations over three days and from the beginning to the end they would not ever agree to replace the unit or refund my money. I started communication within half and hour of instillation. The dishwasher was in the box with they brought it to me. I want to know how they say the damage was only cosmetic, if it was in the box and why they would give me a damaged unit in the first place. Their 'service team' man was knelling on the floor, holding the the rack like a baby, so it would stay on the track. read more
