came out four different times to fix my dryer, and its still broken. all of my money was used up for this through my warranty, and I then had to pay for a new dryer on my own. $1000! Kept trying to get in touch with Tom, he wouldn't reply, all he had to do was call the warranty company one last time and I at least could get $150 back from my thousand dollar replacement. Never bothered to reach me. Always put me on the back burner. Also looked at my icemaker and said I needed a $300 part, when he left, I fixed it myself. Ice was just stuck in there. Wasted time, and I ended up having to get a new dryer anyways. Ultimately cost me thousands of dollars. read more

(Btw, our 1st conversation lasted nearly 4 minutes.I have the call details on my phone. It was Sat morning @9:53. He lied when he said it was in the afternoon. He boasted that he knew why the fridge was leaking.His on line site states that his company operates 24/7! That's their specialty! ) All he had to do was apologize vs now attacking, and bullying a senior citizen who is simply being honest. All anyone need do in the future is just read his bullying, and attempts to ridicule me below. Who'd want to do business with someone like that even if he was telling the truth! Kenmore washing machine was not draining. Called Tom at 7PM (open until 8PM) and he came out 10:30AM the next day, as scheduled. He called me from another job site to let me know he was on the way. Tom diagnosed problem, explained repair & cost, replaced lid switch assembly, tested machine, and was in/out 40 minutes. Very efficient, relatively affordable, professional, quality repair service. Spoke to a serviceman who said he was busy, but would return my call in 15 minutes. 4hrs went by and my call was never returned. No biggie, he must've forgot. I called back and again was told that he was busy, but would call back in 15 minutes (must be his standard line). The day passed and he never returned my call. I tried calling back the following day and got the same guy. Again, he told me he was busy and would call back in 15 minutes. (yeah right). I confirmed that he had my number and reminded him that he told me the same thing twice before without following through. A week later, I'm still waiting on a return call. Right now it's 2° outside. Inside, a toasty 72°. And it's all thanks to Tom Busby of Anytime Appliance Repair. The blower motor in my furnace up and died on the coldest day of the year so far, and the day was already have gone. Called the original installer, and they wouldn't be able to make it until the next day, and the temperature in the house was dropping rapidly. Did some quick searches and looked over reviews, and called Tom. Despite it being late on a busy day, he was over in less than 90 minutes (which includes the time he took to stop and pick up a new motor). Tom is friendly, professional and he obviously knows his stuff. Unfortunately he was given a bad motor (!) and it was already nearly 5pm. Tom worked up a solution involving another motor he had on hand, and said he'd return in the morning. I would have been happy to let it go at that point; we had heat, we'd make it through the night, and this motor was working better than what we'd had. He insisted on coming back with a new motor, and knew it was the better option in the long run. He was back in the morning and had the new motor in place in 20 minutes, and the furnace is now running better than it ever has before. Not once did he try to push anything additional upon me, but he made me feel extremely confident about having him back to evaluate a new HVAC system, or any appliance I'll ever need repaired. He is simply that "old school" type of service person who goes above and beyond and makes you feel like your home is in good hands should you need his help. On top of all that, despite the problems with the first motor, the extended time and his return visit the next day, the price was EXCEPTIONALLY reasonable and broken down clearly. Honestly, it was about half of what I expected under the circumstances. Our home is an old one, and I'm certain I'll be seeing him again. I hope that anyone in similar circumstances who (like me) is terrified and simply doesn't know who to call runs across this review. Stop looking, you found him. Paid for a new water line and ice maker. The water line got fixed, the new ice maker that we paid for never worked. After he left, the ice maker still wasn't working, so I called and told him that it wasn't working, he said he would get back to me and never did. I called back multiple times, he has no answering machine, and never called back. I wouldn't use this guy again, and wouldn't suggest that anyone else does either.. read more

Tom came by within 2 days of our phone call. He looked at our 3 yr. old fridge and knew exactly what was wrong and fixed our problem within 30 minutes. It turns out the leaking water line needed simple reconnection to the valve. We had another company who misdiagnosed the problem the week before and after paying them $403, fridge was still leaking. They sent another serviceman who said it needed a new hose, but they 'couldn't find the new part' we needed. Thank God for Tom to the rescue. Still waiting for our refund from 1st company. read more

My fridge seemed warm and my dryer wasn't---with guests for the week on the way! It was going to be several days for other companies to send someone, but Anytime Appliance could come out the next day. Tom needed to order a part so used his skills to temporarily make the fridge cold. That saved the food, allowed me to stock food/drinks for the week and made the standby coolers redundant. He showed me how to keep it from becoming too cold (good thing, too, it did happen). The ice maker was also not working so he filled it with water for a diagnosis on his return visit. He did have the parts for the dryer, which he quickly repaired. This first visit was under an hour! I wanted to make an appointment, when the part came, for after my guests departure. Instead, Tom asked me to call when I would be available. hmm* I called and he came out that day to install the fridge part and order parts for the ice-maker. Originally I didn't ask for the ice maker to be repaired because a past estimate was so high. Having observed his ability and knowledge repairing the dryer and fridge, I added it. On the final visit to repair the ice maker I was happy to find that, although the part was expensive, it was less than a past estimate from Sears. *I suggested he needed a secretary to make appointments. But realize, the companies making appointments were the ones not available for days or weeks. It is the beauty of his flexibility but observing all the calls he receives and can't take while working, I can see it can also be frustrating for those with appointment expectations. I suggest---have the make/model numbers ready, then be persistent reaching this repair savant---it will be worth it! read more

A great thanks to Anytime appliance, on a Saturday afternoon while cleaning my refrigerator I unfortunately caused a bit if chaos.the result was a call to Anytime who really sticks to their name. They came out at 4 in the afternoon and with a few short questions when I had called, showed up at our door with the parts in hand. A very short time, he had it up and running and nothing was lost food wise. I felt for the quick response and repair that he was fairly priced and very friendly. Thanks alot! My dryer wasn't working on Labor Day weekend, he diagnosed the issue over the phone, searched for a part that would work and fixed it on a weekend holiday! You have to be persistent and keep calling him, but he was honest, efficient, cleaned up after himself, was an out of the box thinker and willing to go the extra mile to make sure the job got done right! I called at 8:58am to have my refrigerator serviced. Tom told me he would be able to come by around 12 the same day and he would call my roommate when he was on his way to make sure someone was there. My roommate notified me that he never heard from him so I called him again at 1:02pm and received no answer and the voice mail was not set up on his phone so I could not leave a message. I sent a text to him at 1:09pm with my information and asked for a status update and never heard anything back. I find this behavior unprofessional and some sort of communication as to why he was unable to make it would have been appreciated. read more

2 mo after the warranty on our Maytag washer expired, the thing quit working. Bought from Lowes, so we called them first - they called two companies who were trying to schedule us in later that week. Called this place on my own due to Yelp reviews - Tom asked me a few questions over the phone and said he'd call me back in an hr. Although he came out fast, he flooded my laundry room while attempting to fix my washer. Then the next day, I heard strange noices coming from the washer. I call them again and he immediately told me it was not his fault. He stated he would call the next day and come out. I waited 3 days before I called another repair place. They came out and stated the last repair person failed to put 2screws back that hold the drum straight. I call Anytime and he stated that there were no problems when he left my house. Rip off. Don't use this company. Told Tom son broke knob on dryer and clothes were not getting dry. After taking make, model, serial number of dryer he came to my home WITHOUT the replacement knob. He used a magic marker to mark another knob from dryer and told me that would work. He charged me $54. It didn't work and I have the exact same problem with dryer I had before he came and took $54. He refuses to bring replacement knob return calls, email, texts or refund money. Only when I call from different numbers will he answer. He came out November 18, 2016 and has not returned. It is now December 8, 2016. Don't use this company. read more
