He came out and did a good job with the work but it didn't take 3 hours. He told me he'd come out to do another job for the 3rd hour. So, I bought the supplies and contacted him a couple times. The first time he said he had big jobs to do and it would be 2 weeks. Again, OK. A month later I contacted him again with no response. I think if you have a big job that needs to be done, he has the time for you. Otherwise, if it's a small job or if he might have to come back to fix/finish something...I wouldn't count on it.

Our budget was tight and I appreciated that he made a miracle out of them. Gave them life again! Eric is very responsive and reliable. The job took longer than anticipated, but luckily we weren't in a rush and it wasn't a big deal for me. I rather have someone skilled and who pays attention to detail than someone quick and in a hurry to just get the job done. I'm going to ask him to come back in the Spring and paint the exterior of the home after our roof and siding is replaced. I hope he enjoyed working with me as much as I did with him.

I will start from the beginning of all of this. We just recently moved to Idaho and the home we…read morebought was clearly a rental. I put in a quote on Yelp and Eric reached out RIGHT AWAY. Came over, did a walk through of the house with us as we explained everything we were looking for. He explained he was a little short staffed and could have "some of his guys" come over to prep for a week and then could come by a week later. Fast forward, it's his 2 kids that are coming to prep the house... okay that's fine but there was never a set schedule. We would tell him to come by at 8, and it would be closer to 11 every day until they finally showed up... When it come to painting, we asked him if he could finish all of the painting in 3 days. HIS EXACT RESPONSE WAS "yes absolutely." So we decided we would just book a hotel and give him the whole weekend to knock it out. Yeah, 6 days later it was finally done. Noted, we asked for the same color on all the walls and ceiling. No accent walls or anything crazy. When it finally came to Eric being done, I've never been so disappointed. 1. There were areas of the home not even completed!!!! My husband had to go back through and basically repaint parts of the bathroom. The paint is also now peeling off the walls... 2. THE DRIER WAS BENT! We literally just bought it the day they were prepping, so it was brand new!! Hadn't been used yet, so very clearly was dented from them denting it. 3. Over spray everywhere. I don't expect it to be immaculate, but at the same time we had to scrub every corner of the house to get the excess paint off the counters and floors. Anytime you try to question he blames it on "being short staffed." HOLD YOUR CHILDREN ACCOUNTABLE THEN. Also, they aren't the ones that painted the house so that's on you... if you are too short staffed (just like the rest of America) then take some damn ownership and say you can't handle taking the job on. Now that my husband has touched up everything, it looks "decent," despite the fact that I still have a dented drier..."

Then installed a custom door in the Master bedroom to the bathroom/closet. The door opening was larger than standard and Brent had to build a frame that would fit. It looks great, like it has always been there! He was on time, cheerful, clean, careful and most of all - a professional! We could not be happier with the results! Not a very good contractor! He is a horrible communicator, to the point of trying to get into…read moreconfrontations with the homeowner. He lied throughout my project and made many false promises. He wouldn't know what a schedule is if it punched him in the face. He said he would do one thing to get the job, even signed a contract, but then went back on his word and said he wouldn't be able to complete the project with the budget, that is after he'd been paid upfront. And the worse part, he knows he can get away with it without consequences. He purchased material for his other projects with my budget. He won't provide documentation of the project spending so that the homeowner could understand the status of the job until it was too late. He steals from everyone he is in contact with, suppliers, rental companies, homeowners, employees, etc. When he was fired, he wouldn't return the unspent budget. His workmanship is of poor quality. When he was terminated much of the work he performed had to be replaced or repaired just to pass inspection. He pieces work together and tries to cover it up. He over sales his skill set of what he can do. He isn't familiar with building codes, which results in lost labor and material when he or someone else must come back and repair it to pass inspection. He isn't familiar with industry building standards on very basic stuff. He was fired from my project the same time he was terminated from 2 other projects, and then terminated from the next project he began after mine. Seriously, there are some good contractors out there and this guy is not one of them. Do your due diligence and background check this guy/business. He has a horrible legal track record both personally and professionally. Don't let him fool you into thinking he knows what he's doing.
