I feel like everything in this store is made for me. As a long legged lady...it's so comforting to be able to pick up a dress or a jumpsuit and it actually be LONG enough. I will say, it's a little pricey, BUT the quality is awesome and their pieces are unlike anything youll find anywhere else. Whenever I have a formal event or an something where I just wanna stand out, I stop in here. 99% of the time I find what I'm looking for. There have even been a few times when the folks in the store have offered to modify a few pieces so I can get the perfect fit. Now if I wasn't so last minute...I would definitely have taken them up on this offer, but I think it's such a lovely gesture. I came here one night for an art opening, held in the hall between the men's and women's boutiques. I was impressed by the style of the store: very clean and modern feeling, with some character. It's an enormous building and they have all kinds of clothes I've never seen anywhere else, men's or women's. Holy mackerel this place is expensive. I mean, nice clothes, but wow. I've never been one to spend more than $80 on a pair of pants, and those better be some nice damn pants. Here you're probably picking the runts of the litter for $80. I didn't spend much time browsing their stuff just because the price tags put me off so much. They definitely have nice clothing, if certainly trendy and not everyday wear. If Atlanta's indie kids had more money they'd probably come here a lot. I'd rather go to the thrift store. read more

I was pleasantly surprised a boutique in Atlanta that not only carries some of my favorite LA and NYC labels, but also has Bill Hallman original designs that you can find anywhere else. Yet another spot on my list of "See? Atlanta Boutique Shopping doesn't have to be Expensive." Bill Hallman may *look* trendy and spendy, but it's not. Well, at least the spendy part. I wouldn't go all the way to saying it's cheap, but considering you could be getting a total individual design (yes, by BIll Hallman) then by all things considered this place is a bargain. You won't see much, if anything, over $100. Tops are in the $20-$60 range and dresses in the $50 to $80. And if that's too much for you, be sure to check the sale rack: they've always got crazy bargains there. This location does have a small men's section, but it is VERY small. Not enough to distract a guy long enough to keep a girl satisfied with browsing through the rest of the store. They have everything assorted by color, and I would stay the style is trendy chic: not exactly clubwear, but not necessarily appropriate for the office, either. Most of the lines they carry are XS-L and they typically only stock one in each size for a shoe, if even that much, so get on the pair you love with the quickness. read more

I'm from NYC and I'm used to snooty stores that ignore you unless you fit their look or you dress like you have beaucoup money. But this is literally one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. The contrast between how I was treated and how other customers were was pretty clear. I walked in the store behind two other ladies. No other customers were in the store. I had to say this so everyone reading this knows that it wasn't as if it was packed and they were too busy. I received no greeting and no offer for help while one of the associates greeted the other girls. Annoyed, I still continued to shop regardless. The same associate walked right past me to offer the girls a fitting room, while I stood right in front of her with three items in my hand! While I was trying on my picks in the fitting room, there was a dress that I really loved, but I had trouble figuring out the top half of it. After struggling for a few minutes, I decided to just take it off. Since they made it clear they weren't interested in my business, I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask for assistance. As I started to change back in my clothes, I could hear the staff telling yet another person to let them know if she needs anything. I walked past the staff asking the girls what pieces worked and didn't. read more

I've been shopping at Bill Hallman since I was in college 19 years ago. I left Atlanta, came back many years later, and the selection is even better! Be sure to look for Bill's label...he is a fantastic designer. The Boutique's success wouldn't be possible without his sister Nancy, who is absolutely amazing! I will have to agree with one of the other reviews listed here. I am a frequent shopper of Bill Hallman (they are one of the few stores in Atlanta to carry Meghan Fabulous) and on the women's side of the store the service has been excellent. Yesterday however, my boyfriend and I went in the men's section and I literally set off the alarms! My handbag for some reason sets off security alarms in several stores. We have looked all through my bag to figure out why but we cannot. Backing up to when we entered the store, the male sales clerk somewhat badgered my boyfriend about "what he was looking for" the we are "just looking" answer did not sit well with him. As we were leaving my purse set off the sensor and I said "sorry my purse set off the sensor" he proceeds to ask "did it set off the sensor when you came in" I said it did. He kept looking at me so I said you can look through it if you would like. For the next five minutes he rifled through my large, designer handbag. It was a degrading "pretty woman" experience. We went to the women's side next, my purse set off the sensor and we all laughed. Snobbery, scene, I don't know what you would call it but I cannot imagine an owner of an upscale boutique allowing this type of behavior to take place. They lost a sale due to the behavior of a store clerk. Women's clothing and service 5 stars. Men's - - never shopping there again. read more

Bill Hallman has become a common name in my closet! LOL! I love this boutique and the man behind it. Bill Hallman, from what I have witnessed, is very passionate about his creations. I purchased a Bill Hallman dress for my niece in New York for her graduation and everyone loved it! That would include me as well......I came back and got me the same exact dress and it was a hit! Every piece of clothing that I have purchased from Bill Hallman has been complimented on and I JUST LOVE IT! Everyone is very helpful and friendly at all of his boutiques. The purses, bags & clutches are out of this world as well. The accessories are off the meter. The prices are very decent and there is always some kind of sale going on (& WHO DOESN'T LOVE A SALE???) which should give you all the more reason to stop by and pick up something HOT! When visiting the N. Highland Ave. store. , you may run into Bill Hallman himself. It feels very personable when he is in the BLDG....... I love this store! And it is actually a boutique that I can afford so that is always good. Anyhow, their locations are in Little Five Points as well as Virginia HIghlands. I have been to both, but my more frequent visits to Little Five Points obviously lead me to that location more often. They have great clothes, bags, shoes, and accessories. Very hip and, as notated before, decently priced. I am giving it five stars because it is my favorite boutique in Atlanta, and also because it is well deserving of a much higher rating than it has (um, reviewers who gave three stars, do you know how pricey most boutiques are??!?). To contradict any confusion regarding price, you can get pants here for seriously less than $100 which in this day and era of $250-300 pants, is a steal. Now that I am thinking of it, I actually got a cute pair of white Hudson pants for like $20 here last season. They always have a sales rack too, which is typically where I migrate to. This is due in part to my love of bargain shopping (check out my Finer Consigner review if you too hold this characteristic). And one last thing, they have cool guys clothing too. this literally was the worst shopping experience of my life. I will never be returning and I warn future shoppers to not go there. my friend and I were shopping here for an upcoming wedding and were looking for dresses. I found a really lovely one that was in the "sale" section and was significantly marked down and then had an additional 20% off. I tried it on and loved it however there was a stain on the front. I asked if there was any other discount they could offer cause I was debating to spend $40 on a stained outfit. the Asian lady described in another review said "absolutely not as this was already very cheap - originally $112. and that the stain was just make up (supposedly) and would come out." upon saying this she grabs random spot remover and starts scrubbing the spot that now there is a massive spot. which made me even more apprehensive to purchase the dress. the lady said let it dry and come back in 30 minutes. I said ok and left we came back 30 minutes later and a different foreign blonde worker said "I am not selling you this dress. you are insecure about it already and I don't want to sell it to you. it's not for sale it's already sold. and it's a $30 dress originally $112." there are MANY problems with this as 1. you never tell a customer they are insecure. 2. they acted as if the spot was no big deal and 3. the dress wasn't $30 - as I would have bought it for that price with a stain. 4. it wasn't sold she was being very aggressive and rude. she basically kicked us out of the store and I have never received such horrible customer service. read more

The main theme with this review is this: Trendy clothes at a good value. It also has an enthusiastic, helpful staff. They will invest the time and effort to help you find what you want. The interior is cool, too, with a significant mid-century modern overlay - including a ball chair in the window. Cool. My first visit was alone, and I had gone through most of the stores in Little Five Points checking things out. This was the first where I broke out the wallet. I bought several items, all of which were very stylish and feminine, yet versatile enough that my wife can pair them with many of her other clothes. She loved everything, and nothing got returned. All of it appears regularly in her daily wear. That's part of getting a good value. The other part of the good value equation is the look/cut. This store offers unique designs with a specific vision. You can save money at Old Navy, but a Fruit of the Loom top is not going to make your special person (or you) stand out. These clothes will. They have this in common with BCBG, in my opinion. So, it costs more than Wal-Mart, but you'll look like you shopped at Nordstrom's or Saks Fifth Avenue (or D&G, especially in the case of their outstanding dresses and stretchy jeans). So, I think this is a good value. If your goal is to avoid arrest for public nudity, you can meet your mission for less money elsewhere. If your goal is to look stylish, feminine, and unique - good luck beating the value at Bill Hallman Boutique. read more

I love this Bill Hallman! The clothes here seem nicer than some of the ones in the Virginia Highlands store - but it is still worth checking out! It seems relatively unknown/not very busy so the service has always been pretty efficient and brisk. The clothes here are great - chic, unique, and mostly Bill Hallman's unique creations of sexy, stylish, printed dresses, skirts, and blouses. A must if you are going to be near Lenox. read more

Trendy, moderately priced boutique with a staggering selection of clothes. Unfortunately, this is just one more boutique where the quality of 90% of the clothes is very cheap with a high mark-up (very similar to k-la with a lot of the same brands) This includes the Bill Hallman clothes. Don't get me wrong, things here are very very cute and trendy. I would still buy a lot of it, even knowing it's a cheaply made 70 dollar top just because I'm a sucker for boutique clothing and things I find unique. But am I the only one who runs my fingers along a rack of clothes and am disappointed because I feel only rough and thin materials mostly rayon and polyester? Also, this place is popular amongst the yuppie boutiquers so the selection is very picked through and it is nearly impossible to find what you like in a size small. argh. read more

What a beautiful selection - and some pieces were surprisingly pretty reasonable - couldn't believe the deal I got on a beautiful silk emerald green dress! He carries pieces from local Atlanta designers as well - something for every style here! If BH happens to be in the store when you're there - you're lucky - the man has a gift for just looking at your body type and knowing what will look good. Okay, I've been reviewing only bars and restaurants, so I'm going to take a break and review a clothes boutique. Hey, a guy's gotta look good, right? And this is really where a guy (and a gal for that matter) should get his threads. This store has the typical hip designer labels-- Rogan, J Lindberg, Paul Frank, Diesel, etc. It also has a great set of designer jeans like Seven, Earnest Sewn, Diesel (again), G-Star, etc. And then they usually stock whatever hip new independent label is hot at the moment. What makes this store keep you from looking like a fashion victim is that they rarely sell anything for the sake of carrying major label brands. You won't see a bunch of glittery Versace muscle tees or that crap Roberto Cavalli shit. It also steers away from kitschy party clothes (think Universal Gear). I like to pick through the store to find classic looking threads that have a bit of style. They just remodeled and expanded so now the men's and women's sections are completely separate. And they now have about twice the amount of inventory for men, which is nice. Don't get this place confused with the shoe store which is just down the street. read more
