There are two parts to this review; sales and service. In 2013 I stopped by while shopping for a new Subaru Forester. Since I don't live nearby and didn't have time to haggle, I asked the salesman for his best price to include my trade-in that I had brought. He quoted me MSRP and low-balled my trade. Great. Thanks for wasting my time. The salesman was polite, but that's all I can say. I saved $3,250 by going to Barstow Subaru in Potsdam. Sales: 2/5 stars. In September 2014 I stopped by for an alignment. I had scheduled the appointment online and they did well. They have some newer and high quality alignment equipment, and I trust they did the job right. Service: 4/5 stars. read more

There's oil and water all over my brand new engine! Brought it in to check why oil light kept going on; they said it was "normal" to burn a quart and a half in 2300mi. of driving! Engine was dry when I brought it in; now the car is smoking like crazy. Extremely nice staff, though! read more

I went to McBride's and have not had a problem with them, I bought a new car in 17. Sales people were fantastic to work with I told them what I wanted, they did showed me a few other cars, but they ended up finding the car I wanted and sent someone to pickup for me. very good customer service in my opinion. If they can find a reason to charge you for a repair, they will. No one gets away for free. They like to replace filters and charge way to much for them. They try to blame car warranty repair on the driver and charge you again. Consider Knight Auto, they are top shelf, Professional Grade just like the commercial says. I switched and have never been charged for a warranty repair. They have never asked me where I purchased the truck, unlike this place! read more

I went in looking for a better family vehicle that supported my budget and at first an SUV didn't seem possible but after working with Shae she definitely made it happen. I am now driving a 2017 AWD SUV. She put in a lot of work and kept me informed and updated. If you need a new vehicle I would recommend seeing Shae she is amazing. read more

The experience here wasn't great from the start (they wanted to sell us something on their lot, not the car we wanted) but it wasn't terribly bad until it was time to trade in our vehicle, a 2009 CRV with very low mileage. First, they gave us the paper with the figures for the deal with a smiley face drawn on a trade in offer that was $5000 below KBB and $4600 below NADA. I guess they thought the smiley face would be the determining factor. When we told them that was unacceptable, they told us that our vehicle was basically not worth anything and their vehicles were so desirable that they sold themselves. Strange for a lot with plenty of left over 2014's. Then, they cited an incorrect NADA figure. They did come up $3000 within 5 minutes, but that was still $2000 under trade in book for a full retail price on their vehicle. I have dealt with another local dealer for my vehicles and have always been treated very well. My wife expected the same, but was very disappointed and disillusioned. She traded for a vehicle at my favorite dealership the next day and felt far more positive about the experience. read more

i talked to a lay for 2 weeks about a suv. i live in potsdam so wanted to get everything lined up so when i went up i would get the suv then. well i called on a saturday morning was told it would be o down so i said ok was on my way about noon this was 10 am. well got there she said there was a problem with the suv and could not sell it but had a chevy that would replace it. the suv i wanted was a 2011 75k miles. well she brings it around it was a 2013 25 k miles and i needed 3500 down. a bait and switch and was reported to th ag. this was what i was told on facebook when it told my friends this dealer should not either emplee people that do it or they should be fined read more
