Bill does not guarantee you'll pass your road test. My daughter had previously failed her road test. She did the one hour practice, driving an hour back and forth. Everything went well except parallel parking. She was close. Today she went for her road test. I thought it would be more relaxed and chill than the rmv. She's so anxious as it is. Absolutely not the experience she was so rushed! The text said 30 minutes. I left and back in 14 minutes, she was already waiting on the picnic table. I took a test with Bill Rehill back in 2018, and I failed it. I thought I deserved my license then, because I thought I should already have a license at 18, all the kids I went to school with did. Except I failed 3 more tests after that, the other 3 being at official RMV locations, and aside from the last one they were all right about me. I was missing stop signs, making weird lefts, messing up my parallel parking etc. I took my test again today with Bill Rehill, and after waiting for so long, I finally got it. My time taking the test was super pleasant, my examiner (who I unfortunately failed to catch the name of) was super friendly and encouraging, and Bill was having a grand time in the back making jokes and easing the tension of the test. Finally, I have to give my graces to Kevin, who not only helped me this time on fixing my left turns and minor mistakes I would have made, but had actually given me my lessons back in 2018 that taught me the fundamentals of driving that I use so well today to drive. And the best part of all of this? Both Kevin and Bill remembered me, and were happy to see me pass. Kevin and I even caught up about what had happened in our lives since the last time I was there. If anyone were ever to find themself in the position I was in, lacking in a car that would work for a traditional road test, and not able to afford the 600+ for standard TDA lessons, I wouldn't just recommend you take it here, I'd urge you to. Bill Rehill is very organized and supportive in terms of communicating with students via text messages and emails with all the relevant information. Even after having a lot of students under his name, he never forgets to reply back to everyone. * About driving class - His colleague who took a class teaching about do and donts about driving was very informative. He even gave me a worksheet and highlighted things to work on. * About road test - It was very laid back, simple and organized. I am writing this review to warn others. I signed my son up for the 1 hour driving class with a Saturday test since My car doesn't have the e brake in the middle. My son has been driving for about 10 months with his permit and is very comfortable and NOT a nervous driver. He did not take drivers ed. So had to wait until he turned 18 to get his license. As soon as he got in the car to start his driver's lesson he was belittled, insulted and even asked who taught him to drive all because my son didn't know how to engage or disengage a newer ebrake which I guess is similar to a window switch, a lot different from the traditional. Even in my newer vehicle it is on the floor. From that point on this supposed "professional" decided he would continue to berate and insult my son for not knowing acronyms that are taught EXCLUSIVELY In drivers ed. He is not an easily offended type kid either. His approach is comparable to the bedside manner of 1950s Dr. with a Senority complex. My son came back in my car after the lesson and after the conversation I was not happy but explained that he did at least get the information on what exactly the test will be on and yes maybe Bill was a bit gruff and unprofessional but we looked at his recommendations and he did practice on them. He went this morning for his license and this is what put me over the edge. He asked my son if he had his copy of his permit and the application my son answered yes and he told him to get in the car with the test instructor and that he would be in, did not clarify that he was supposed to hand those things over to the instructor nor did she ask. Bill then got in the car and asked the instructor if she got the copy of the permit and the application and when she answered no He decided to yell at my son saying What did I tell you to do! I will tell you that he is lucky I was not in the car with them! So I'm not really sure if it's a power trip, he is just burnt out from doing this for a hundred years or you're just an A****** Bill. So now knowing that everyone is usually nervous to take their license to begin with that's how you start your student off taking it? Again my son is a very comfortable and safe driver, he ended up failing because he hit the curb parallel parking. I'm not upset he failed. It is what it is perhaps he needs more practice not even upset about that. I didn't want to cut corners or my son to get a license if he isn't ready! But in my opinion perhaps if he did not have this man who decided to insult and yell at him his nerves might have been a little bit easier.we will be taking the test at the RMV next time. It is worth the wait. Even if you fail 10 times you will no doubt have a better experience I have two older sons who passed with flying colors at the RMV probably because they weren't insulted or screamed at by somebody that was paid extra money just to use the car! I read the reviews but not all of them before I called this place and I will tell you I see a lot of mixed reviews. Some refer to this man as the second coming..... This is my first and last experience with this person, and after going through some of the reviews and who knows if these people are paid off for friends or family I have a few different opinions on what has happened. Maybe I'm correct maybe I'm not. Either he's great when it comes to the entire driver's ed and just decides to be a jerk of somebody doesn't want to take the driver's ed portion and feels that he should insult them or like I said he's been doing this a long time and as it goes in any profession one can get burnt out. If that is the case and he has lost the ability to teach or instruct without insulting or rudeness, perhaps it's time to tap out and put his car on permanent ebrake status. Again this is nothing to do with the fact that my son did not pass the test today. This is everything to do with how unprofessional rude and insulting this person was to somebody that's 18. I can just Imagine how kind he must be to those 16 year olds going through the entire driver's ed class. I assure you he will pass at the regular RMV. He paid for this himself and was excited because he could get in faster, too bad I didn't read all the reviews before hand. I was looking for an instructor who could put some confidence into her driving skills and i found Bill Rehill's driving school on Yelp. A big thanks to yelp for helping me find this gem. I booked the super package that comes with 2 driving lessons and a weekend road test along with the sponsor. It was 199$. The package was perfect for us as it is a Saturday road test and avoided the visit to rmv. Bill and his team are very flexible with their hours. A note to new customers-these guys are quite busy and it is almost impossible to get hold of them but don't loose hope just keep following up with texts to Bill and he will certainly get back to you. My wife took the lessons with Kevin. He is very meticulous and generous to the students. He watched my wife drive and pointed her the things that she needed to focus on. The most crucial thing was the trial run that they give you just before the road test. I had an amazing experience with Bill and his staff. I've had a long struggle with my road tests for almost a year, and before my permit expires, I decided to give Bill's driving school a try even though it's two hour drive from me. And it turned out to be more than I could expect!!! Bill is sooooo nice, patient and professional... He even gave me a sheet with the details to pay attention to during the road test. If you are not a student of his driving school do not waste the money. I spent a lot of money so my child could take the test on a Saturday. During the warm up before the test he was so rude instead of helping to correct any mistake he was so rude an negative that by the time my child went to take the test was on a fragile state of mind. My child ended up not passing the test and the person doing the test told her and my husband she was ready but for some reason she was frazzled during parallel parking. He could tell she was ready. This is an average driving school, it is not worst, but other schools in the area are better. The teachers are nice and everything, but doing a driving hour is very hard as texts will get ignore. I understand this has been around for over 20 years probably because it is cheap, and a guaranteed passer. The driver ed class itself is bearable at best, but he trashes other schools and will sometimes give outdated information. And if you sign up with Bill, you are stuck, he makes it really hard to switch out. I give this school 1 star because of the school and service. read more

Me and my husband had to take a road test to convert an out of state license. We decided to do it with a Bill`s school because our friends gave us a very positive feedback about them. One preparation lesson is extremely useful. Kelvin explained us what are the key skills the examiner will be looking for during the test. He also pointed out all our issues and gave advise how to practice those. Even if you have a lot of driving experience which is our case, it is much less stressful to take a Saturday road test with Bill. Walpole is a calm neighborhood with light traffic. The exam goes in a very organized manner, where you first start in a practice car and prepare all the maneuvers you will make during the test. Then you switch cars and the exam starts. We heard from other people that if you take a test in RMV and you get an examiner in a bad mood, he might be way too strict and give you points for some unclear reasons, but during our exam with Bill the examiner was fair an friendly. So, we are very happy that we passed our test from the very first attempt, which saved us time and money getting our license. Thank you, Bill ! read more

Two sons went through same driving school, not Bill's, but took the Saturday road test with Bill. Both failed. Each then waited the minimum time and with little to no additional help passed a standard weekday road test in Milford. Easy as pie. One son needed the extra time, but the other was a good driver and the instructor's hard edge intimidated him, made him nervous. Still he just about passed but bonked into the curb one too many times on his parallel park (his only mistake). Oddly, it was the INSTRUCTOR from the back seat who barked out "automatic fail!" (Isn't the person in back supposed to be silent?) It was odd the RMV person was quiet. So with my third child I'm just going straight to Milford. I suspect that Bill's service is excellent for those that have used his class and tutelage all along, but just for the test and single lesson prior it just didn't work for us. He gave new and different methods to my second son on the single lesson, and it really ended up confusing and intimidating him. Again, maybe this has more to do with not being in his class all along, but we don't live close enough to take the lessons with him. FWIW, he was testy with my wife when she wrote to him about the experience. So, fool me twice, shame on me. read more

We scheduled a driving test with Mr. Rehill over a month ago. We tried many times to call him or have him call us back, but it is nearly impossible to get in contact with him. We purchased the basic package for a driving test and immediately left a message that the driver is 23 and did not take driver's ed, wondering if that was okay. He left a message on the phone saying that the reason they tell people they need to take driver's ed is because they often don't know the basics, such as looking over your shoulder when reversing. At the end of the message he said I hope this helps with your decision, as if it was up to me. He did not cancel at that time, but waited a month until two days before the test. Mr. Rehill just cancelled & refunded our road test two days before it was scheduled to happen. He says we misrepresented ourselves. We have no idea what happened and no further explanation was given. I am extremely angry and disappointed. I would not recommend Bill Rehill's Driving School after this experience. We will try to contact him again and hopefully have this amended, but I am doubtful. read more

I have to say, this is definitely the place to go. My son went to Milford RMV for his road test. During covid he had failed the first time. Then a couple months later he went again and I was his sponsor. I couldn't believe how arrogant the instructor was. He was rude to me and to other people that were waiting. Before he got in the car. Nothing like making a kid more nervous than he was already . But according to me he should of pass that day. As I watched in the back seat he said he almost hit the curb and grabbed the wheel on him, now I was watching and could see from left side view mirror that it wasn't true. But I couldn't say anything because the instructor told me it would be an automatic fail so when the test was over I said a few words nicely. About what happened I said he didn't hit a curb and wasn't about too. All he said to me is he could of popped a tire. Unbelievable that was his answer. About 6 inches away and he could of popped a tire, really?? I said . I'm just so Happy I found bill driving school. They are friendly and make a person at ease. I have 4 boys and my youngest is definitely going here. I can't say enough good things about this school. Except Thank you to all the instructor for you time and patient and making a person feel comfortable behind the wheel like it should be!!! Purchased the super package on the Saturday Road Test website. Had trouble Driving as a teen and basically gave up until I found this Driving school. Kevin the instructor was very helpful and completely changed my view on driving. He gives you plenty of helpful tips and wIll show you pictures of the car from different angles so you have an idea of where you are positioned. he's patient and an overall Nice guy. Bill was very quick with responding and will answer questions you text him despite how busy he is which I was very appreciative of. Prove to the examiner you can drive and practice as best as you can and you should be fine. DO NOT , I repeat Do not send your child there to have their road test done , they're very bias against Hingham students as well as minorities. Bill accused the school instructor of teaching the students wrong and that being the reason my child failed. It's no secret that if you take classes with Bill then you pass but if you don't then your chances are up in the air , but this by far is ridiculous. A lot of my co-workers in the city have told me they had similar issues when sending their children to Bill for a Saturday road test but I figured that a hard road test or not as long as you do things correctly you should pass. When my son took the same exact test in the practice vehicle the instructor said nothing but good things and how he would have no problem. How ever upon entering the vehicle the rmv gentleman and Bill made him feel extremely uncomfortable , not saying a single word to him the entire exam in regards to whether something was right or wrong and proceeded to fail him at the end of the exam because they said the way in which he backed up was not correct and that they have an issue with they way Hingham teaches the students to back up and that they're to blame. I asked Bill for the name of the gentleman from the Rmv who sits in the front with the student and he was very hesitant and unwilling to give it to me , Which is nerve racking to say the least, because you're entrusting your child with them, yet they're hesitant to give their names. Of course that gave me extreme pause because if you all do good work here at the school and do things correctly and fair then you should have no problem letting parents know the names of the excellent staff working with their children. But clearly you know that isn't always the case if you don't feel comfortable telling parents who their children are in the car with. As you can imagine for me this is very difficult because you want to instill in children that if they do things correctly and abide by the rules of the road that they should never have anything to worry about. Today was the first day that I had to have that difficult conversation with my child that no parent wants to have which is that even though you do things correctly sometimes they still won't work out for you based on where you come from , you nationality, your religion and countless other things. I've heard great things about Milford, Braintree , Dorchester and countless other places. I will be calling the RMV on Monday to report it and to all the other parents who've experienced an issue here in regards to fairness I urge you to speak up. read more

Bill's Driving School was both professional and effective. Their teaching was constructive, honest and impartial. They identified areas that needed improvement and communicated techniques to fix them. My daughter was able to pass the first time, following their instruction. They were a godsend. My daughter had been getting (really badly taught) lessons from the unprofessional Newton Driving School. Her twin miraculously passed her driving test but my other daughter failed. A friend from school told her about Bill's driving school in Walpole and said she should go there. Low and behold, they saw an awful lot of mistakes in the way she had been taught and spent and hour and a quarter (even though we only paid for an hour) reteaching her how to parallel park. When it came to her test day they also spent time with her before she went for her test to give her a run through and a little more confidence. She passed and I firmly believe she would have failed again if it had been left to Newton. They did nothing to prepare the kids at all and they also charged more than either Brookline or Needham. Now, 8 years later, I took 4 lessons with their fantastic instructor Kevin, whose profound competency as a driving instructor is only matched by his kindness toward his students.
