needham driving school was great. all the drivers are really nice except for one. i would really recommend it. the not so nice driver, glenn, spends the entire lesson with his foot on the freaking break. it is like he is afraid you are going to kill him. he doesn't trust you. all the other drivers know it too. anna sab was telling me all about how her students complain to her about how often glenn uses the break. also, glenn argues with you about stupid stuff the entire time. he believes, above all else, that he has the best, undeniable opinion on earth. all hail freaking glenn. i brought up that i liked wild willy's once and he starts railing on me for not preferring five guys to wild willy's. i dont actually care! he argued about pizza, burgers, pasta, and wether or not abe lincoln would like grilled cheese. its unbearable. use needham d.s. but make sure you dont get glenn. read more

My daughter is just finishing the classes/driving with Needham Driving School. It has been excellent in every way. The schedule is flexible and they return calls immediately. They are not overbooked so they always make time to fit you in for driving. My daughter even liked most of the classroom time because they showed a lot of videos, some about texting and other distractions, and it seems to have had an impact on her! The owners are very professional and pleasant, as are the driving teachers (the owners are among the driving teachers also). It was a much better experience than we both thought it would be, and I believe she will be well prepared for the test. I have heard so many disaster stories about other driving schools, and am happy to have found a great one. I will definitely have them teach my next daughter. read more

This is the best driving school around hands down. Paul runs a top notch operation. As a small business owner, I can really appreciate how well he runs his company. He puts customers first all the time and tries his best to accommodate requests whenever he can. They offer an online booking service for scheduling lessons and it could not be easier. They run on time and do what is promised. For lessons, they pickup and drop off at your home making it super convenient. The instructors are well trained and do a great job teaching the students. We live in Wellesley and chose to use Needham Driving School. I would strongly recommend them over any local driving schools. I heard some horror stories about some other local schools. My classroom experience at Needham Driving School was great! Paul, the teacher, was very nice and funny, and taught driver's ed in a memorable, fun way. Most picture the 30 hours of classroom as torture, but in reality, it's not as bad as it seems. Paul understands that those 30 hours can be very boring if not taught in the best way. He did a great job of keeping us all intrigued, and I would highly recommend the experience. I learned a ton about how to be ready for the RMV test, and the rules that everyone should follow. Some drivers don't follow all the rules, like coming to a complete stop at stop signs, so I also learned about how to be prepared for emergencies and any situation you could encounter while driving. Overall, if you're a beginning driver, this is the school to go to! read more

We live in Wellesley, and I've had three sons get lessons at Needham Driving School. I can't say enough good things about the company and the instructors -- they are experienced, patient, and know how to get teenagers to respond. One of my boys was extremely nervous when taking the road test, and this resulted in him failing the first few tries. Paul and his outstanding instructor "Mr. B" went above and beyond to support him and made sure that he ultimately passed. My son had already developed the knowledge and skill to pass --- they made sure that he also had the confidence to ultimately be successful! It seems like more than just a business to the owner Paul. How many people did he fire in the last couple months, that would be 4 because they suck. They don't teach , they sit at McDonald's for30 minuets during your lesson . A instructor got fired for having a kid sign in for lessons, when he never did them. He has his old hag father who is about 90 trying to give you a lesson with drool coming out his mouth. The instructors play video games on there phone while in a lesson. The broad he is married to fucks everyone who works there. This punk wants nothing but your money. He is a tax cheat. I was not looking forward to the accelerated in class drivers Ed class at Needham driving school over this February vacation, but it turned out to be a very enjoyable And informative class. After completing this class I feel much more confident in my ability to drive well and safely. I am very excited to start the behind the wheel instruction lessons because I know Needham driving school instructors will teach me how to be a great driver. Needham Driving School was a great experience. I found the class not only informative and helpful but left me well prepared. They are super understanding and flexible and communicative. They make getting your permit and licenses super easy. Not only that but I found the class super entertaining and engaging which means it was way better then the other schools around here my friends went to. Paul is super nice and a great teacher and really prepares you for the practical reality of driving. The disregard that the staff have for how hard it is to book is truly breathtaking. Be prepared to spend hours every Wednesday trying to race to book a slot which may or many not be posted at the time frame of sometime before noon. Attempts to communicate in order to work together are rebuffed. As one other reviewer noted, it will always be your fault so don't bother trying to talk about it with their staff. If you don't want to deal with a place where the staff truly could not care less about you, then don't come here. I feel bad for the instructors who are delightful. read more

Needham Driving School offers a great driving lesson service. My daughter recently graduated from their program. She loved the entire experience! She looked forward to both classroom instruction and driving/observing sessions because of the instructors. Anyone can tell a learning driver to "turn here", "do this, not that", but the instructors are personable, kind and patient. The staff made learning fun and a little less stressful. As an adult I was lucky to enroll with NDS. The staff is very professional and reliable. For someone like me who started learning how to drive at age of 37 and never had any driving experience before, my experience with NDS was outstanding. Needham driving school is great. I just completed the drivers education classroom portion and it was really educational. I learned so much about what to do when I drive. We reviewed many things including the rules of the road, driving in different places/conditions and effects of distracted and impaired driving. All of this was taught in a fun way that will be easy to remember every time I drive. Fantastic experience! We started with another school in the area (Newton) and had a terrible time. So I took the financial hit and changed to Needham Driving School and it was worth every penny! They couldn't be more accommodating and really taught my daughter well and gave her confidence to pass her driving test.
