I would not recommend this company based on my experience…read more The salesman was very personable and easy to talk to, which is one of the reasons I hired them. He promised to angle my driveway in the back to create a backup parking spot at no additional cost, extend the driveway to my bottom back step, and bring the asphalt to within about an inch of the first front step. Unfortunately, none of those promises were fulfilled. The "backup spot" ended up being a small cutout rather than the angled extension I was shown, the driveway was not extended as far as promised, and the finished product did not match what was discussed. The asphalt also appears to be much thinner than what I was led to expect. I was quoted $7,900 for the driveway, which seemed like a fair price, so I agreed. After the paving was completed, I was strongly encouraged to have the driveway seal coated immediately. I had no prior knowledge about seal coating, and no written estimate or total price was provided. I was simply told it was a "special" at $75 per gallon. Since I had just invested $7,900 in a new driveway, I assumed this was something that needed to be done right away and expected it to cost around $1,000. Instead, they used 55 gallons and charged me over $4,000 for the seal coating, bringing my total to $12,000. After speaking with several knowledgeable people, I learned that a newly paved asphalt driveway generally should not be seal coated immediately. Most professionals recommend waiting at least several months--often closer to a year--before applying the first seal coat. Had this been explained to me, I would never have agreed to have it done that day. To make matters worse, the crew left garbage in my yard, and I was told tire marks on the new driveway after 24 hours were "normal." I waited 4 days to use the driveway and am encountering tire marks. I assume this is because it was seal coated too early. Looking back, I feel I was taken advantage of. I trusted the company's expertise, but the final product did not match what was promised, I was sold an expensive service without being given a total price or proper guidance, and I ended up paying thousands of dollars more than necessary. If you're considering hiring this company, I strongly recommend getting every promise in writing, requesting a detailed written estimate for any additional work before agreeing to it, and educating yourself about the paving process beforehand.

He went off on my husband and proceeded to tell him he didn't need this shit, we know what we are doing and that they have been in business for half a century. So this is how you speak to a potential customer?? We have the right to know the process (step by step) which is being done to our driveway. So we were to pay him cash and not even know what they were about to do. I DON'T THINK SO !!!! Beware !! Please be careful when hiring this contractor. Get everything is writing!!!

We've had Joe Costa come here for 8 years now (2x yr) and I'm happy to say his truck is right…read moreoutside. We've never had a guy like Joe do work for us. We trust him implicitly. We have an issue and I wondered if wide gutters in one area might resolve it. I asked Joe and let him figure it out. He was fabulous and great 8 years ago and that applies today. I'm so happy we found him. He does his own gutters and gutter guards. We have some water that drips in one area of the back just because the gutters get clogged with tree pods (and it's obvious) and tree leaves and water seeps out. Joe recommended trying gutter guards just for the area where we have a small problem. He didn't recommend gutter guards for any other place (he said it's not worth the cost) and the back gets pods from our massive tree and our neighbors' same tree but has more pods and they're big so it's a double whammy. That makes it different. He's our favorite guy who comes regularly and I look forward to seeing his smiley face ever year. He's amazing and his prices are still fine (tariffs are in full bloom but Joe doesn't take advantage of people so his prices remain totally fine. In Joe we trust.

THEY DID A HORRIBLE JOB!!!…read more I WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE ONE HUNDRED STARS!!! I needed my two trees trimmed by the power lines. I hired this company expecting a better job than the free service provided by the electric company. I should have saved my money and let the tree trimmers from the electric company butcher my trees! He came to my house approximately one week prior to ask what I wanted trimmed and to provide a quote. I explained what I wanted trimmed and what I specifically did not want cut. He cut and removed everything I specifically said not to. The trees use to shade my driveway and protect the vehicles from the summer sun. He removed most of those branches despite my saying not to. The tree in front of my home use to provide privacy when sitting on my front porch. He completely thinned out / removed all small branches leaving the truck and a few big branches on that tree up to approximately 20 feet and stopped. It is totally bare up to 20 feet then it looks like nothing else was touched. I specifically said not to remove any of those branches because they provided privacy. It looks like someone went wild cutting all branches less than 6 inch across as far as their ladder could reach and then quit. That tree looks absolutely HORRIBLE! Every time I exit my front door I have to look at the tree he butchered. It gives me a sickening feeling every time I look at it!!! To top it all off, he missed several branches that are over and/or extremely close to the power lines. Trimming the branches near the power lines was the main job. I am temporarily crippled from an auto accident and can barely walk. What was the point of having me walk through the yard for over a half an hour explaining what I wanted trimmed if he was going to ignore what I said and do it his way? Actually, my instructions were only 5 or 6 sentences for the two trees. The rest of the time was small talk about my injury and how he healed himself of a similar injury. How hard is it to remember 5 or 6 sentences? It is going to take a decade, or most likely multiple decades, for the trees to regrow and provide the privacy and shade that my home, front porch, and driveway use to have. His inability to follow simple instructions has definitely lowered my property value. I would have made out better if I found some drugged out junky in need of a fix and gave him a hit off of a crack pipe to cut every branch I pointed to.
