The shop itself is spotless, super organized, and very well stocked. You can tell they put a lot of effort into upkeeping the store. Even though they specialize in paint, they also carry a lot of other supplies, like brushes, papers, and tapes. They are very fast, efficient, and offer competitive pricing too. We had already hired a crew, so the only thing we needed to do was select the color(s). We first went to the Dunn Edwards in Covina, and when we asked for help in regards to colors, it was an employee there, that referred us to the Hacienda Heights store, as they told us about a free service offered where a color advisor would help us. So, we jumped at the chance to get some professional help and scheduled a 30 minute appointment online. The day of our appointment, we were introduced to Vilena. We showed her a few photos of our house and told her we wanted to go a bit darker. I also mentioned that a neighbor suggested we go with a 3 color scheme, and asked what her opinion was of that. She agreed, and from there, she spent the next 45 minutes, maybe even 1 hour (remember that our appointment was only scheduled for 30 minutes) and came up with 3 schemes. I'm a guy, so blue is blue to me, if you know what I mean, but Vilena has this amazing talent where she can match hues, undertones, and all of the other color lingo that ya'll use, to perfection! We bought samples for 3 schemes, then came home and painted the swatches, and moved them around the house to see what they looked like at different times of the day. I emailed Vilena several times during this process to ask her what she liked. She actually chose Scheme #2, which wasn't my favorite initially, but after hearing her talk about the contrast and pop that Scheme #2 had over the others, it made sense. Also, my wife liked Scheme #2 the best and as you know, happy wife = happy life! A few days later our painters began the project, and 1 week later, they finished and hour house looks brand new, like it was built yesterday! We now have the nicest house in the neighborhood, one that looks clean, modern, yet simple and inviting. The house wouldn't have came out this sharp without Vilena's help. I would suggest hat management starts compensating their advisors with a nice commission if the paint that is recommended is also purchased at the same store. I bought several samples first to see how the colors looked in my home with various lighting. I returned to buy all of the paint that I needed and staff was very friendly and efficient. The second time I was a customer, Eva, assisted me in my purchase process. I had names of my paint colors and needed a couple of other colors to coordinate with the ones that I already knew. She was accommodating and let me sit and use the table in the store to go over my vision board and she let me use her paint fan deck. I went with the BM Regal Select, as she recommended and boy did the colors go on beautifully (thought I used a painter). Thank you Eva, and Vista Paints - West Covina!

Beware of the store Manager here is why ! I visited…read moreMerritt's Ace Hardware on Hacienda Blvd with my e-bike because there is no secure bicycle parking outside. Before bringing it in, I asked the cashier if it was okay since I was only going to be inside for a few minutes to purchase a few items. The cashier said it was fine. A few minutes later, the store manager, who I believe is named Evan, came through the store yelling, "Whose e-bike is that?" in front of other customers. Instead of speaking to me professionally, she immediately became confrontational. I calmly explained that I only needed a few minutes to finish my purchase, but she responded by insulting me and using profanity. I'm an adult, a paying customer, and a regular shopper at this location. There was no reason for the situation to be handled with shouting and disrespect. If there was a store policy, it could have been explained politely instead of creating a scene. I reported the incident to corporate, but because this location is independently franchised, they were unable to resolve the issue. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this store while this manager is in charge. Customers deserve professionalism and respect, not public embarrassment over a situation that could have been handled with a simple conversation. Ty

Perhaps I should have walked in and out burger and got to nice animal style double double while I was waiting. Most of the ladies here are friendly except for the cranky dark haired supervisor. At first I thought it was me... and I also thought it was a one-day experience with that supervisor, but it appears that's her daily attitude with no smiles to all the customers. So I just tried to come when she's not there. Although it's a interesting paint place with ample parking in back lot, I doubt I'll be back. There's two other paint places close by. One by the 7/11 store on Azusa Avenue and the 10 freeway and the other one right next to the Norms Restaurant on Azusa Avenue. I'll be trying those
