I've been a fan of Tiny Victories' drinks/happy hour drink specials for over a year! Their happy…read morehour deal has since changed to Tuesday all day, W-F 4-7pm: half price cocktails, domestic beer, and wine specials. Previously, the deal included Saturday's. I visited this past Saturday 6/26 around 6pm to catch up with a friend during what I thought was their happy hour. Despite visiting on a Saturday for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was parking available in the adjacent small parking lot! There's also limited free curbside parking available nearby. Instead of happy hour, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Tiny Victories hosts Saturday summer daytime parties INCLUDING drink specials called "The Darty"! Usually with a DJ whom flaked last minute on this particular day. There was also a piercer from Bold Stroke (on 831 W Jefferson Blvd) offering $20 piercings (cash/Zelle) when usually her shop does them for $60! My friend and I took advantage of this. Their drink specials included: Miami Vice $7 - rum, strawberry, coconut, citrus blend Sweet, fruity, tame. Bingo Mango $7 - tequila, aperol, prosecco, mango, lime, tajin Sweet, fruity (with a real mango taste), bold, frozen. I loved Tiny Victories before but love it more even now. Despite narrowing their still incredible happy hour window, they still offer fun community events with drink specials to keep customers coming back. That being said, I will definitely return and continue to put my friends on!

Tiny Victories is in Bishop Arts and although an intimate space, offers a seated patio area as well. Their drinks are satisfying and their service is great! To note: they do not offer food but there is a pizza spot right in the same parking lot if you need a meal.

She was a gem of a bartender…read more We've been a few times at the tables but it was my birthday so we went in right at 3:00 and I ordered a house margarita and a miller lite. She asked if we wanted to order anything. I said I was curious about the seafood chowder. She said it is really good, so I ordered just a cup. Just to try it out. OMG! It was one of the best chowders I have ever had. It had everything wonderful in it. Potatoes, carrots minced, cod chunks, shrimp chunks, salmon chunks, and other vegetables. Also, in the $5.00 cup, it also had a mussel. All I can say is the next time we're there, I'm ordering a bowl as my meal! I've also tried their French onion soup and it's excellent. Our granddaughter orders the chicken tenders. They are so good that I would bet it would be very hard to find a place that served them better. They are SO good. Prices are extremely reasonable. The Old Monk is the place to be for a really good, satisfying meal. Plus their happy hour is fantastic.

But be prepared for your table to be ignored, drinks to be made incorrectly, and glassware to be dirty. I feel bad because I worked service industry for 10+ years, but after multiple meh to bad experiences, I decided it was time to share. Hopefully this location can get it together, but I think I'll be braving traffic for the Henderson location from now on.

Let me put you on to Double D's Bar in Dallas because this spot surprised me in the BEST way…read more I went during happy hour (5-8pm) and their signature cocktails were only $7, so of course I had two and my friend had two too Every single drink was freshly made and so damn good. Like, you can taste the difference. Whatever the cucumber drink was tasted like springtime in Ireland lol. Now let's talk about the vibe because BABY... from the outside, you would NEVER expect what's inside. You walk in and suddenly you're in a full-on 70s-inspired living room. I mean, the velvet-lined hallway and the beaded doorway *should've* been my warning, but nothing prepares you for it There's tons of seating too: comfy couches, chairs, tables, booths, it really feels like you're just hanging out at somebody's very cool house. They've even have a pool table, and right at 8pm an aggressively competitive Uno game breaks out, which was honestly hilarious to watch. This place is such a vibe. Fun, unique, and just different in the best way. 10/10. I'll definitely be back.

The comfy seats, neon lights and unique drinks make for an immaculate vibe. I got the sugar land summer and I really loved the vanilla foam. Thicker and tastier than any foam I've ever had, I want this again. The orange creamsicle part was a little bitter though. I really enjoyed my sweet surrender and would have ubered here instead to have another - the brown butter Bacardi and pecan was great. They cooked and left no crumbs.

They banged the whole time , which we didn't know it was them until we opened the door. There was five of us, and once we opened up the door, they were telling us to watch our mouths because I yelled at them asking did they work there , obviously confused what was going on. They then decided to kick us out because we had too many people in the restroom. I only got one of the security guards name his name is Anthony another man in his 40s who had an accent decided to put his hands on me and push me. We were all so confused why we were getting kicked out. I will never be going back! That is absolutely insane. We did not take a long time either and they said it was gonna take too long if we all went together, which makes no sense. We took MAYBEEE 5 to 7 minutes in the restroom. The owner needs to get a grip on his security guards. Especially the ones that look like their on drugs sneaking people in from the back and the one man who put his hands on me for absolutely no reason!!! BEWARE LADIES: You cannot go to the bathroom with anyone or you will get kicked it and man handled !!!

It's definitely more delightfully eclectic and kitschy than neighborhoods around Downtown Dallas or East Dallas. Atlas has a funky lounge design that is warm, inviting and screams that you made it out of the house so you're ready to rage. They always have great energy in their music, creative cocktail menu, and food. I had a tasty Sidecar variation called Between Da Sheets (photo 2). They added rum to the classic recipe of cognac, orange liqueur and lemon juice. The rum gave it a bit of a vacationy feel which was nice. It was well-balanced and quite tasty. We highly recommend checking out Atlas next time you're in Bishop Arts and want an elevated cocktail in one of the funkiest spaces in Dallas. Do it!!! Salute @thejohnnycocktail
