If you are looking for cheap food, cold beer, a screen to watch the game and a pool table to keep you occupied this is the place in Columbia. Hamburgers are fresh, hot and hand formed. No processed meat by-products served here. Personally my favorite part of the meal is the fries. They remind me of the fries I used to get at the Medina county fair in Ohio. Thin cut, flash fried, salty fresh potatoes. I like to add a bit of vinegar and YUM! My biggest complaint--the bar staff isn't that friendly or helpful. They don't provide table service during certain hours, and once let us sit for nearly 10 minutes without mentioning that we would have to come to the bar and order. My husband arose today and announced he would like a nice big juicy burger for lunch today! I'm in! So we headed to Billiards on Broadway in downtown CoMo to score a couple of them. They did not disappoint and lived up to the hype of being the best burgers in Columbia, in our opinion! We shared an order of fresh cut fries and as you can see by the "after" photo, we thought they were glorious. We scarfed down every bite of our burgers, too - well I left one bite because I didn't wanna admit I ate the whole giant flippin thing! Best burger I've had in a long time - we each ordered the basic $5 burger which comes with the standard toppings of lettuce, tomato, sliced onions, pickles. Husband took off the tomato and onions and added mustard. I left all on and added Bleu cheese. Delish. Bun was huge (I like big buns and I cannot lie....I also like a big piece of meat on my bun) The burger was barely contained on the giant bun...pretty much overflowing. So good. Best brewed unsweetened iced tea I've had in a while - got seated right away on a summer Sunday in July at 1:30pm. Just go. Eat. "No Regerts" - not even one! read more

Went for lunch and waited close to 45 minutes...for a burger, but there were two large tables that were seated before us. The server was polite, but busy. The burger was delicious, but I'd skip the fries in the future and just do the double burger in lieu of a single. I think I'd also opt for carry out in the future unless I was with someone who wanted to dine in or play pool. read more

For the third time I've tried going there, Billiards has been randomly closed. You see the lit up sign, assume it's open because it's within hours, put the change in parking meter and go to open the door, only for it to be locked. For the third time in the row, I've seen the flashing "Open" sign, parked, paid for a meter and gone to open the door for it to be locked. Their online hours reflect their usual hours of operation and don't account for them being randomly closed for no reason. I've been going to Billiards for years now and this is extremely disappointing. Can't say I'll want to keep trying to give them any more chances or money. read more

One of the most under rated places here in Columbia! The burger and condiments are all incredibly fresh tasting, and the french fries are always perfectly done. The staff is always nice and attentive - the place can get to be pretty loud, so I wouldn't recommend this as a date spot! read more

Really disappointed. Mid afternoon... Lots of tables inside ... Not busy at all. We chose to sit outside. Levi was our waiter. We ordered a couple draft beers ... Took forever. Finally took our order. Asked for the pork tenderloin with no onions or mustard... Both were on the sandwich when It arrived. Fries were COLD... Asked for a second beer.... Like if you just want really great fried food to feed your soul, this is the place. It's clean, and spacious, and there's always really great beer on tap. Some of my family went out on Christmas Day, cause we wanted a break from the chaos and to watch the Chiefs game and I'm so grateful they were open. This is a sad story of a place with a great concept that had good professional help in designing a menu that was simple and well executed. The atmosphere is also fun. The problem is a woeful lack of training and management. If you go here when it is not crowded( less than 10 people) you will get a good hot meal that is excellent. If you go anytime it is even close to busy you will have a very bad experience. The cooks, waitresses and managers are very poorly trained and unprofessional. The owner is a good guy that is never there except during the day when it is not busy. He needs to hire a professional manager since it has become obvious he is just looking at this as a real estate investment. Great atmosphere but do not go here to eat anytime except for an early or late lunch. I am a local and I wish it were better. If you want a good meal go elsewhere. If you want the college town pool hall experience go to Booche's. Another irritation is they have a lady with the worst hillbilly accent doing radio commercials. If you have good food and a great atmosphere just hire a few good people and train them. read more

I've been here a bunch of times for the burgers. I think, on a good day, they make the best burger in town. My wife loves their black bean burger as well. Great place to hang out and shoot some pool, drink some beers and have an excellent burger. Great grilled chicken sandwhich. Don't get cocky Billiards, I have had a crappy, dry burger, once. In Columbia Booches is a household name in burgers, but I never saw why, especially after having Billiards burgers. They offer your big, classic cheese hamburger and fired sides are the best burgers in Columbia. They also offer a decent sized beer menu and fun atmosphere. read more

My favorite place to play pool! Tuesday's are a little crowded because of leagues, but other than that there's almost always a table open for you. The bartenders are always happy to see you and service is always great. It gets a little loud sometimes but that doesn't cut in on the fun! read more

Super underrated. I love to go here with friends and chill, play pool and what not. Their food is cool too! I love skinny fries so it's like my fave place ever to get them! The pool tables are the best ones available in town. The atmosphere of the crowd is comfortable, and the food is good. I would give this place 5 stars, but a guy working there, since the place was on 9th street, is such a complete jerk, that I can't even feel comfortable tipping. And I tip at Sonic. Just for him, because he is always there, it only gets a 3 star rating. Every time I need to get a drink, he dampens my mood. If you get any other bartender, it's a fabulous place to be. read more
