This is a nice place. VERY collegey. We went during the day for a Chiefs game and that, in my 26 year old opinion, is the best time to go. Not too packed, cheap drinks, good bar snacks and tons of screens. We once walked by on a different night and it was full of the youngest looking college kids I've seen in a long time. Shoulder to shoulder and during the pandemic no less. Not a place I'd want to go out, but maybe at a younger age it would be fun. read more

Terrible. Honestly this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a restaurant and definitely the worst service ever. We should have bailed when we sat down and the table and chairs were sticky. The food is either not salted at all or so salty you can't eat it. The worst part was the server. She was completely uninterested in taking care of her tables. She kept hanging out at the bar with her friends, giggling over their phones. We had to ask her for things multiple times. Willie's was always a good time. I could see where people would get upset over the wait of a tabel, but my "gang" started early to avoid any such problem. I had six too many Long Islands at Willie's and really needed to get rid of a lot, mens bathroom stalls full, walked over to woman, did my thing, had a nice lady ask me if I was ok and got me a water. I drank the water and returned to my game of pool. Sure was nice of her. read more

This was absolutely the worst service I've ever experienced in Columbia. I went to Willies for a large going away party, which took place on a Sunday night. There weren't many patrons there, but somehow we all were completely ignored when we attempted to order drinks. The bartenders weren't even doing anything, but virtually refused to serve us. Only one of my friends could get their attention long enough to order a drink. I ordered quickly when the bartender finally acknowledged my presence (After about 5 minutes of waiting). Then he walked to the other end of the bar and continued laughing with a buddy a couple seats away. I waited 5 minutes before getting his attention to ask where my drink was. He said he'd forgotten all about it. I'd be more understanding if they were busy, but they were dead. The bar is small how can you forget someone's order when they literally are standing three feet from you. Also, it wasn't just me this happened to, but all my friends. No one could get served. It was infuriating and degrading. I would not recommend this bar to anyone. It wasn't clean, the service was horrible and the drink specials sucked. read more

Wow! Where to begin? I mean food? 10/10. It's basically like they have their own Super Chef Bobby Fley in the back whipping up red hot chicken Sammie's and perfectly deep fried "cottage fries" (as they call them). I was first greeted at the door by a monster bouncer named "Brayden". He was vascular and muscular all at the same time. He was the definition of masculine intimidation. As soon as I walked through that oak door with "willies pub and pool" stapled on it I felt safe knowing that if anything went south he was there to step in and handle ANY situation. He checked my ID, and even though I was of age, I was shaking by the mere fact that he could break me if he wanted. Once I was in, my drink was ordered by me at the bar. I barely talk to anyone as my infatuation for the bouncer named Brayden over takes me. I grow as moist as the Amazon. I finish as quickly as I can in order to meet his eyes once more as I exit willies. I dream about him. It has been 2 months and I still can't stop. First things first, I was greeted at the door by a very nice waitress that said "Hi welcome to Willie's" and I was taken aback by just how enthusiastically it was said! I then sat down at a table and was immediately waited on before I could even hit my Juul. My food came out in about 5 minutes and it was spectacularly delicious. The beer was ice cold. Look, I get it. A lot of the people trying to get into this place are probably underage or have fakes. But when the bouncer passes on your REAL ID to the manager who says it's fake and lets the bouncer confiscate it, that's a bit much. Add that to the fact that they didn't even ask for a second form of ID, and then the manager proceeded to cuss me and my friend out when I asked if I could just have my license back, and yeah, I can't recommend this place to anyone. Had to get the police involved - it was an ugly ordeal. Other than that, drinks are ok, decent atmosphere. But be warned - these people aren't thorough and couldn't care less about you. read more

Great staff! (Especially Katrina) they are very friendly and welcomed me with open arms. It is as also nice to have a staff that are knowledgeable about the local brews. I travel a lot for work and I felt like I was at home. The only down side .... The A/C was broke. I'm from Florida and it was too hot. Good thing the beer was cold. I went here for a local meetup group. The waitress put us in back and didn't come to check on us for thirty-something minutes, not joking. The food was terrible. I got corned beef and it was like they'd poured an entire container of salt on it. The atmosphere was also so dingy, and this is someone who actually enjoys crashing trucker bars along the interstate. I was harassed by two men within moments of walking in-- basically my impression that it's not just that it's dingy, it's that the men there are drunk as skunks at 4PM on a Thursday and have no idea of boundaries. read more

Go there for lunch during the week often. Cajun Chicken is excellent. Other sandwhiches are good also. Very nice, friendly staff. Only have an hour for lunch and always get us in and out in plenty of time. You can tell they sincerely want your business and aim to please, always thanking me when I'm on the way out. I don't go here often, but the few times I have been prior everything has been about average. Today, however, was a different story. The place was not busy. I was surprised that they don't have any Sunday food and drink specials as their college bar competitors do. So, I paid full price for my food, which isn't terrible if it were good. Anyway, our server greeted us when we sat down and took our drink order. After that, we waited probably 20 minutes for her to return. Again, they were not busy at all and I tried to catch her attention several times. She gave this same terrible service the entire time. I wanted a wrap, which they do not have on the menu, but our server was enthusiastic about the kitchen's ability to make one. So, I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. When it came out, I was bit confused. It was about the size of half of a wrap you would get elsewhere. I pulled apart all of the unused tortilla to find that probably 20% of the bread had been used to wrap chicken and cheese. That's it. When I realized I was about to pay $9 for about 2 ounces of chicken and some cheese, I wanted to talk to our server. I waited... and waited... and waited... and when my hunger overcame me, I had to eat it. In about two bites the thing was gone. I was very dissatisfied. She never asked how it was and, to be honest, I have a hard time understanding how she or, more importantly the kitchen manager who she had mentioned was currently working, allowed that out of the kitchen. Best chili and chicken wings in town! Several other items on the menu are worth mentioning, including the hamburgers and chicken sandwiches (and recently added ham sandwich and improved steak sandwich). If they still sell it, the Willie's sauce is also worth the purchase price. We eat lunch at Willie's regularly and the service is always attentive and courteous. No better place to watch the game and drink a beer while sitting on the patio overlooking Broadway. Your dog is even welcome to sit with you (and they provide the water bowl). read more
