No straight razor, and it was a 20 minute haircut. Most other places that'll include a massage, shampoo or beard trim. Prices weren't conspicuously posted, but that steep of a price was a bit of a shocker. They're looking to become that billionaire off of you. Businessman who schedule appointments for a reason: Barber's name was King-He was late for appointment-had to wait 15 minutes for him to show up; friendly, but obviously was not paying attention to how I told him to cut my hair-gave me a little boy haircut, which was totally not what I requested; price paid was $46.50 for a 15 minute haircut (that equates to about $184.00/hour for a barber). Totally overpriced!! Did not even take the time to let me look in mirror at end of cut-I thought that was standard practice for a barber. First time visiting this barbershop with my grandson. Clean and calm atmosphere, very relaxing, professional and courteous. My grandson's barber was Jeriah and he did an amazing job with his cut. My grandson is only 7 and very fidgety and I was amazed how Jeriah kept him calm and how he handled him during the entire cut. He was attentive, and very patient. He was also extremely courteous to me and even offered me a beverage. I most definitely will be bringing my son back when he comes to visit with me again. Keep reading to learn exactly why. Before explaining that, let me paint this picture. So your looking for a salon where you can get you hair braided and have access to a barber to do the clean up work (edges, hairline, etc). Its nearly impossible to find this setup in RDU. Lets say your a guy, gal looking for a stylist who can straighten your hair and have access to a barber to do the clean up work... its hard to find this combo. Well... Billionaire's Midtown has it all. There is a stylist there named Nikki who will take and braid, straighten, perm, sew, your hair then she is just as amazing with a pair of clippers. She is able to do her own cleanup work. In the event that she isn't able to trim you, all of the barbers currently working at this location have skills when it comes to fades, fancy designs, flat tops, fros and much much more. This squad gets the job done. The business is always full of happy cheerful people and the overall ambiance of the facility just 'works' lol. I absolutely love the upscale feeling that it has. A lack of basic customer service and communication. Walked in, no greeting, or any assistance. As a walk-in, I'm well aware of waits but to have four other people " walk-in" after me and be serviced on top of having to wait 1.5 hours. I would not recommend. If it wasn't for one of the customer bringing to their attention that he got there after me, after I had already walked out, probably would have never got a cut. Which would have been a good thing, the whole right side of my 8 year old line up is sore and cut up.I should have never went. Would not recommend. Kid friendly, but every song playing has vulgar language, could at least play the clean version. Overall, just a bad experience for a new customer, especially for an 8 year old. read more

This was my 1st time going to Carmen and I would highly recommend her! She is very pleasant, quick and knowledgeable. I'm from the Washington DC area where I have great natural hair stylists so I was looking for one in this area as well. I was apprehensive trying a new stylist mainly because sometimes they don't know the difference between a trim and a cut. The pandemic had my hair in desperate need of some professional help. After quite a bit of research I settled on Carmen and am very happy about my decision to try her. Due to the scheduling changes brought on by the pandemic Carmen was in touch with me prior to my 1st appointment. She was very friendly, professional & most importantly, a woman of her word. She said she would contact me when the shop opened back up and a couple weeks later, that was exactly what she did. Carmen brought my hair back to its healthy life! She sells a wonderful wrap bonnet (at least that's what I'm going to call it haha) that keeps your hair beautiful AND allows your and scalp to breathe. I'm between both areas and I have now found my stylist in Raleigh. Try her, you won't be disappointed! read more

Ok. I could say a lot about this unprofessional shop. Ever since Sherill's closed, Billionaire's started taking their clients and honoring their prices because the entire operation is owned by the same family. Okay, fine. Two strand twists aren't that hard to do, so I figured if a student could do them, so could a licensed beautician. Nikki at the Six Forks location did my hair twice and did an awesome job. She referred me to Maria one day because their was a mix up with my appointment. Maria couldn't speak a lick of English and did a horrible job on my twists. Again, she doesn't speak English. Nikki did my twists a third time and a really good job again. I called to book Nikki this past weekend and was all set. I called Thursday to double check the time since their was a mix up before. Some guy tells me he doesn't know who booked my appointment, "but Nikki moved to Houston". I told him I'd come back only if Maria wouldn't do my hair. He said Carmen, the owner's wife could do it. Here's the problem. Carmen speaks English (barely), but she didn't seem to understand a lick. Again, 2 strand twists aren't that hard to do. I showed her 3 pictures of the medium size twists I wanted. She said "no problem". Not only did she part my hair into huge boxes all over the place, but my twists were different sizes. Meanwhile, her coworker started a blowout on her other client, WHO WAS BOOKED AT THE SAME TIME I WAS. Carmen told the stylist who also did not speak English, to finish the blow out and she would cut and style the girl when she was finished with mine. Carmen basically did a rush job on my head to get to the other lady, who was under the dryer when I got there. I told her that and made her do the front of my hair over. It still looked a mess. A road map to nowhere. The icing on the cake? I asked Carmen for the Wi-Fi password. Her husband told her it was in the drawer by the register. She comes back with a little piece of paper and I tried it a few times, then put the paper away. She never said that she gave me the only piece of paper that it was written on. She just said "here". I thought she copied it for me and I forgot about it. I paid for the mess on my head, including the new $10 increase to keep them from calling the cops. But I did tell her I was dissatisfied and that she and her husband needed to hire more English-speaking and Competent stylists. She laughed and said "okay". A few hours later, Carmen called and said that she gave me the only piece of paper in the entire shop with the Wi-Fi password on it and asked me to text her a pic. I told her I was driving and on my way somewhere. Thursday of the next week, I get a call from Marcus. He said no one could use their new password because I took the paper with me. Yes, seriously. I told him that it wasn't my fault that Carmen did that and that I cleaned out my purse. He started yelling at me and questioned "So you cleaned out your purse knowing that you took the only copy?!" I repeated what I said and he hung up the phone. Here me when I say, "NEVER AGAIN". Billionaire's is a sorry excuse of a shop operating like they're high class. No one communicates with each other and there seems to always be a mix up with or double booking of appointments. I need a chick named Shaquandria or something like that who grew up drinking red Kool-Aid out of pick jars and putting hot sauce on plain potato chips right before her double dutch contest to do my hair. The shop itself is great. The inside atmosphere and friendliness of the barbers are awesome. Everyone seems to get a long great and they treat all of their customers with respect. With that being said, the last cut I received there was awful. I visited the shop around 2 or 3 times and got good cuts but after the last one I will no longer be going to the shop. I left the shop with blood around my hairline and "spray paint" in my hair. My line was also completely destroyed. I woke up the next morning with a scab around half of my forehead. Also, I do not know the spray they use to make your hair look darker but I was not asked if it was ok to use it. I would have definitely said no. read more
