After rekeying the front door, we talked about the other locks. Lifesaver! This may have been one of the most stressful days of 2020. My parents were in town visiting and after 9 harrowing days of emotional drain/distress, herding cats, looking for glasses and hot water, listening to them nag and direct me endlessly, dealing with their mean comments to me and to each other, I was pretty much run haggard. On the day they were supposed to leave, I was so stressed out that I lost my house keys at some point. My mother dropped her earphones in the car the night before after a 6 hour drive back from the Grand Canyon and would not stop complaining about it. First thing the next day I went to look for it and my dad had to beat me to it and in all the commotion, I lost my keys (and my mind for a while). After lunch and one last tour of the Strip, we tried to get back in to relax and pack up but alas, the door was locked, the leasing office was closed, and no keys. What do I do? I tried to call everyone in the office that I can think of. Maintenance was off and no one would help me. If I were alone I can crash elsewhere but my parents had to pack up their bags and get on a flight that evening. I called different locksmiths and Bill was the most responsive on a Sunday night in a time crunch. He came out, checked my ID and asked for a proof of residence. My original handle set for the front door entry way was old and not very sturdy after 6 years of daily use. The interior door knob had started to fall off (fun, right? Lol), so I really needed to have a new set installed. This was a project that I did not feel comfortable doing myself.
