Buttermilk Pancakes

The best pancakes I've ever had (and I've had a lot) . Bill's is by far my favorite place to go to breakfast. It's so cute inside and the food is even better!

THEC to go!!!!

They are back, better than ever and busy! So I ordered to go and enjoyed a packed Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese outside! Delicious as always!

Kid's Eggie Platter

We love Bill's!! We are so happy to be back after their reopening. The food is as amazing as ever! They have THE BEST omelettes around. They are always so fluffy - never dried out like most places - and have such creative and fresh ingredients. Definitely try the coffee roll French toast and Godfather wrap, too. Our little one is a big fan of their new kids menu. Cheddar cheese scrambled eggs and chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes for the win. Thanks Bill's, for offering that classic luncheonette experience with modern twist, extensive menu options, delightful staff, and a family-friendly atmosphere!

Broke Millennial breakfast sandwich

Get to Bill's. Order the Broke Millennial on the specials menu, do not delay. It is THE BEST breakfast sandwich I've ever had! I won't order a breakfast sandwich with bacon anywhere else it's flawless every time. I live local and every sleepover house guest I've had has enjoyed these sandwiches as take-out and they hold up on the drive home too. Other faves are the GOAT (also a special) and MET on the main menu - can't go wrong at Bill's

HOT SAUCE!!

Bills was clean and friendly food took a very long time to get to the table. Food was good. PUMPKIN PANCAKES WERE TO DIE FOR AMAZING. Coffee needs some work. Over all was ok and I would go again.

Corned beef hash

Bill's is a cute luncheonette. Staff is friendly. But today our server wasn't very attentive. Special board is awesome! Lots of interesting choices. I didn't like the coffee. And that's a bummer! I prefer my corned beef hash traditional. So I didn't care for it and it's really greasy. Taylor was good. Prices are good. You can use a card or Apple Pay!

Hash n Eggs

Delicious breakfast at Bill's!! Quaint, friendly service, and, best of all, wonderful food at a very reasonable price. We tried the Hash n Eggs. Full of flavor, huge portion, and the corned beef was perfect. Thank you - we'll be back!

I love this little old time luncheonette. I've been going here for over 30 years and wouldn't stop. It's one of those local gems that most people don't know about and us townies want to keep it that way. I've been friend with the Owners/ Crowley family since we moved to town. A great bunch of people!I'm a firefighter with Kip Crowley here in town. The food is always fresh and delicious!!! The decor reminds me of a soda shop from the 1950s.

My husband and I went to Bill's for a brunch and it was a great surprise to find this place. We've drove by few times but never paid much attention, then while checking places to go for a brunch Bill's came up and this was a great discovery. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Everything super fresh and tastes really good. They are have been taking all measurements to ensure it's a safe place against COVID which is great. We will definitely go back there!

"The Face-Feast" (French Toast substitute, extra cost for the sub for pancakes)

It was 6 months since we've had breakfast out so it was time to find a place that offered outdoor dining during COVID. We stopped by a late Saturday morning in mid October, admittedly a little chilly, but totally worth it! We both ordered the face feast to hit our breakfast craving, which was plentiful and did the job. The waitresses were pleasant and seemed to have somewhat of a groove given the outdoor tent set up. Plates, cups, and utensils were all disposable (and recyclable). Food was great (no sausage links was a little saddening, but not a huge deal). Thinking about stopping by again this weekend while the weather is nice!

I found this little spot while searching for a breakfast spot on Google. Reviews were pretty good so we went to check it out early on a weekend. It's a nice drive getting there and I can imagine how nice the drive is in the fall. The restaurant has a prettt large parking lot. It literally looks like someone's home that was converted. We got there early since reviews since wknd crowds get busy. After only a 10 minute wait, we were seated inside at a small table. Coffee, coffee roll French toast, and a ham scallion and Gruyère omelette were our orders. Specials were also on the wall but maybe next time! Omelette was large, cooked well, and tasty. The coffee roll French toast was well, exactly how it sounds. Lol. Good but very sweet! Coffee was not watery but good. Service was quick and they were super attentive with refilling coffee cups. Overall a nice spot and we would like to come back.

Once a year I visit my friend in Chester when she comes back home for the holidays. This is the only place we go to when we're craving breakfast. I usually get an omelette, but for sure don't skip on the pancakes. The staff is very friendly and laid back. A nice easy escape from the hectic holiday season. This place is so nostalgic for me and i know I can depend on it when I want a breather from all the holiday food back at home...or just the family lol.

I love the convenience of the kiosk ordering. Service was very quick, and everyone on staff was so kind and helpful. I was blown away by their gluten-free menu. They offer gluten-free buns for burgers and sandwiches, gluten-free crispy chicken, and even gluten-free desserts. I tried the Turtle Pie and the Lemon Raspberry Pie--both were delicious, but the Turtle Pie was truly to die for. This was hands down one of the best burgers and fries I've ever had. Gluten-free bread can really make or break a meal, and this place does it right. The gluten-free bun tasted fresh and delicious, the burger itself was incredibly juicy and flavorful, and the basil aioli was insanely good. I also ordered their specialty Cherry Cream Cola, and it was so good that I had to get a second one. It tasted like a fresh, sweet Cherry Coke and was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. I sat outside and brought my dog, and one of the staff members even came out with a bowl of water for him. Such a thoughtful touch that made us feel so welcome. It being dog-friendly is definitely a huge bonus for me. Amazing food, wonderful service, and one of the best gluten-free experiences I've had. I can't wait to come back!

***2 1/2 stars***…read more Maybe I'm just not into the concept of smash burgers, but I really didn't get the hype with this one. This was a special request from my top-tier chum from the Kingdom of Sussex, who'd been eyeing up this place for months and petitioned to come here after our NJ Bookstore Crawl adventures last weekend (I wanted to go to the only guaranteed high quality eating establishment in the Kingdom, Farmer's Daughter in Newton but was overruled by the home crowd). I'd heard some decent buzz about it myself and am always up for trying something that looks edgier than the average bear in Sussex, so off we went (even though I had a BBQ later in the day that basically had all of the food that was provided at this establishment - that's on me for sure). The entrance was a little hard to figure out; initially we went to the front of the building but there wasn't an obvious entryway and we belatedly figured out it was on the side. Some extra signage in that regard could go a long way, but not the biggest deal. We got inside, and that's what matters. Very clean and spacious, with some Western/patriotic themes; I can always get down with some longhorn displays and whatnot. The business model/ordering system is a little odd in that it almost offers too many methods, if that makes sense. It seemed like you could get normal table service, but there was also a counter where I think you could place a normal order, or a kiosk at the front to do so, OR a QR code at the table. Lot going on, and ambivalent on what to make of it overall - I guess it's better to have more options in theory, but I thought it was unnecessarily chaotic/confusing. We opted for the scanning of the QR code at the table, which was fine. My chum didn't realize you could tilt the QR display to get a better angle for your phone, but I'm certainly not going to blame Burger and Butcher for that 10 seconds of chaos. By far our biggest issue was the price point. Neither one of us is averse to spending money when the situation arises, but this was pretty egregious to the point where it really tainted the whole experience. We both got a burger and split an order of fries. That was the meal. Now, full disclosure, we got the "better" burger, the Waygu, which was 4 ounces and $15. Not worth it. I think part of is the smash burger of it all, but I definitely didn't notice the allegedly higher quality cattle involved, and I got it plain so no condiments to distract the palate from the essence of the bovine. I would 100% just go for the cheaper burger here, which is $10. The accompanying fries were fine (some were squishier than others, and those found their way closer to my chum for her consumption) but cost a separate $8. It reminded me of Zinburger, which probably isn't around anymore because they constantly gauged you with additional costs for sides like this. And THIS was wild - if you wanted ketchup? No problem. If you wanted literally any other sauce featured on the menu, just a little container of it? At least an extra $2. At a certain point, it's less about the price and more about the principle. And again - nothing we had was significantly better than what you'd get at Five Guys or Smashburger and for the price it should be. The staff was perfectly nice and since this is basically higher-end fast food, our meals came within five or 10 minutes. Fine on that front. But if I want to spend $30 for a burger and side (which is what this came down to, including tip)? I'm just going to go to a nicer, sit-down restaurant with more options and better food. Disappointing and I hope they really reconsider the pricing structure because in this inflationary environment, you're alienating potential customers before they even get to sample the animals.

The garlic parm sauce on the wings were a bit lacking and the amount of meat on the cheese steak was only half enough to really fill that long roll. And the most irksome thing was the 2,23 % "technology fee". No offense but WTH is that?????? If it was to use the credit card, it wasn't explained at all. As we drove up, It looked abandoned but had an open sign and then I noticed someone waiting (for a to go order) inside so we took a chance and went in to give it a try. I was starving and hadn't had anything to eat all day and it was 2pm. We ordered a few things including the BBQ Bulls eye burger, the Cordon Blue Burger (subbed beef patty) and the Fat Elvis which supposedly had gyro meat, cheesesteak, chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks all on French bread/sub loaf. Also ordered seasoned fries with fry sauce. The Fat Elvis was actually interesting and decent, BUT again, I was starving. If I weren't starving, I think the sandwich would have been just ok. Not bad, but just ok. Also, I believe they actually made me the Fat Daddy vs the Elvis because I didn't see a trace of any gyro meat. The Bullseye burger was good according to my lunch buddy and he said he'd come back and dine again. He's a fan of anything with BBQ sauce so I'm not surprised. The Cordon Blue burger was just ok. Nothing special about the burger at all. The fries were just ok, nothing special at all and the Fry sauce didn't help make them taste any better. Burger was auto cooked to Medium plus but I was never asked what temperature I preferred. Maybe I looked like a "medium plus guy" - well they got lucky today! Now a couple of extra things: the pop machine was broken/down, no water options and one of their bathrooms was out of order. The internal/external ambiance is not welcoming or inviting at all. The server who took my order, didn't appear familiar with the menu and was clueless about several of the sandwiches on the menu which was odd and not helpful. I think this place would be benefit from a little sprucing up on the outside and inside, including ensure water is available for purchase and getting their machines and bathrooms working properly. All that said, I'm not sure my experience today would compel me return.
