Fish and chips are fine as are the subs but the pizzas are just so-so as they are a little skimpy on the added ingredients.

First time I went last week, I ordered habanero bone in chicken wings and they were delicious. I ordered the same thing today and I got BBQ instead of habanero. I was pretty disappointed as I was looking forward to the sweet and spicy kick. I didn't try the pizza but heard it was good. Not sure if they were just busy or what but still shouldn't be mixing up peoples orders as I'm sure the guy in front of us got his order messed up as well. read more

THIEVES! Wife and I bought a steak tip grinder (lit up sign inside said $11.50 + $2 for bacon) a smash burger special ($9.99) and 2 pieces of cake... charged $44.92. I didn't take a receipt at first then as I began to add things up it didn't make sense... Once I looked I was charged $19.75 for the grinder! When I asked why this happened I was told "the correct prices are in the menu. These are not right. I told him we should change them but he hasn't'. I asked to be charged the correct amount on the screen as it's MA law to charge what is advertised. He told me he couldn't so I asked for my money back and was refunded. We left hungry and pissed! This is crooked! Now I know why this place has such a low rating here. I hope nobody spends their hard earned money on a place that intentionally deceives people and takes their money! $20 for a sandwich that's advertised as $11.50??? I said I was done with Bills but the husband didn't listen he went there not once but twice in the past month. Grabbed a ham and cheese sub during lunch hrs along with other food for the fam, can't speak of that stuff but my sub was sooo bad. There was zero mayo, just a slice or two of ham that smelled funk, no cheese and only lettuce even though we ordered it with lettuce onion mayo cheese & pickles. Hard to mess up such an easy sandwich but they did. We then grabbed them again a couple weeks ago and I got a chicken cutlet, again it had hardly any mayo on it, no cheese again, no pickles, some lettuce and the cutlet looked more like chicken tenders. Overall super dry and the bread was spongy. Husband got the fried shrimp platter, the fries were good I'll say that, I do prefer them over other spots in town. The shrimp breading tasted good but it fell off as soon as you picked up the shrimp and the shrimp themselves were kind of slimy, I'd prefer a meatier shrimp and adjust the portions. Lately we've been heading out of town for subs and sandwiches, Ten West Market in Paxton is SO good and Toms Deli in Worcester is always spot on. I understand restaurants pre-making things. They pre-make their salads, which is fine. But they pre-make them with onions. So when you order a salad with no onions, they just pick the onions off of the premade salad. So, the entire salad still smells and tastes like onions. 'Two-and-a-half' stars almost kept us away but we were hungry after a round of golf at Pine Ridge and their kitchen was closed, so we took a chance with "Bill's." 5:30 pm and the place had a pretty steady-stream of patrons coming and going; most all takeout. The service was fast and efficient. The turkey grinder was fresh and delicious, it could have been our state of hunger, but no: the hoagie was very good, withstanding! I pass by here a couple of times a month and if you're not looking for it, it's easy to drive right past it, and that would be a shame. After talking my soon to be four year old out of fast food, she decided that we should have pizza. I had read the reviews here previously and Thought this would be a good time to try it out. Because I was traveling with Little Ms B, I had to order a plain cheese pie and grabbed a seat in the small (only 4 tables) yet very clean dining area. There was a steady flow of customers, always a good sign, throughout our visit. The wait for our pie was only about ten minutes. The staff was very friendly. They offered Ms B a lollipop AFTER she finished her lunch. The pizza tasted great. As for being the best in Leicester, I'll take everyone's word for it as it's the only Leicester pizza I have sampled to date. Prices are very reasonable and I will return to try a sub or dinner plate. read more

Have been ordering from here for years. I feel like they've seriously gone downhill the last year or so. The last straw is when I came to pick up an order which was quoted 20 minutes. It took close to an hour to get my wrap. This is not ok. Some people have medical needs and need to actually eat at a certain time, not providing food when promised can really screw things up (think diabetic customers) This isn't even the worst of it! Out of 5 people touching peoples food, only one person had gloves on. Totally against health code. Still not the worst part.... one person without gloves that were touching and making orders had two bandages wrapped around her pointer finger. This is super against health code and is extremely unacceptable. You have an OPEN WOUND... you NEED to wear gloves! Again taking money, not wearing gloves or washing hands in sink 4 ft behind them and then touching countless orders with your barehands violates so many health code rules. Your putting customers health at risk, not cool Bills, not cool. This place is dead to me, sorry I don't want a side of Hep C with my wrap. read more

Do not order!!! This restaurant isn't following covid protocol and is a disaster! After waiting over the given time period to wait, we only got partial of our delivery. We called an eventually got the missing food delivered. Upon checking it, we realized we had someone else's missing order! Name an address too (nice...). We called, they came back again... With the correct food, over an hour and half after first delivery. The delivery driver (Connor) then insisted on taking the food back!!! He said "what? We probably aren't going to re use it.... We are in the middle of a pandemic. We are supposed to be able to trust where we order our food from. Prices listed on their website for a three topping pizza is $9.50. Price listed in the store for the same three topping pizza is $11.50. The price I was charged for that three topping pizza was $13.45 plus tax. I brought this to the attention of a person at the cash register. His answer "prices subject to change without notice". Food is okay and Management needs big improvements. I've been living about a month now and several times I've called and ordered the same pizza... It wasn't made right so I called them immediately. Then got transferred to the "Manager" to give me excuses that I was I was not right about my own order!! Food is mediocre and the people behind counter not the most pleasant . I heard people that start to work the owner pays under the table and doesn't even pay min wage less than 10 an hr and doesn't even have osha rules for cleanliness anywhere in the place . On a busy Saturday night I walked in and ordered a small sausage, pepperoni, and meatball pizza. After sitting there 20 min and watching the family, (obviously) screaming at each other the guy who took my order looked at me and asked "did you phone an order in"? I said no YOU took it. He asked what it was and I told him. A few minutes later He asked what I had on it again as he was cutting it, I told him again. He looked at me funny and handed me the pizza and said "your all set"... I was visiting my family in Leicester. I live in the North End of Boston and didn't have great expectations but had heard only good things about it. I got home opened the box and was amazed that it was covered in mushrooms... I was starving and my wife and daughters were at a holiday party. I'm not very particular about what's on my pizza, but I am extremely annoyed by liars! The guy who took my order was obviously in charge and spent the entire time I was there screaming at his colleagues/ family. He knew he was giving me the wrong order and didn't care. I was there this past Friday at 5pm to pick up an order I had called in 30 minutes prior. They let customers wait while their food sat, ready and getting cold, never calling out the order numbers after we already paid at the register. Watched it happen to 2 other customers, then they did the same to me. We all had to go ask for our orders when we were the only 3 in the restaurant. Sorry Bill, my time is precious and your staff showed no respect for that. When I pointed out that this lack of communication was happening they just stared at me like I was speaking a different language. No apologies. They always seem to screw it up. I've gotten delivery wrong or missing items... Had pick up and gotten home with the wrong sandwich and tonight missing part of the order. So they failed tonight to give my girlfriend who picked it up the French fries. So I called and said I want them delivered the 1.5 miles up the road because I already drove there and they failed not me. They refused and rather not keep a customer. Just some bullet points as to why Bill's Pizza in Rochdale is the worst place to get food. - THEY WILL ALWAYS GET AT LEAST ONE THING WRONG! ALWAYS. - They have absolutely THE WORST phone manners. (And that's probably why they can't get an order correct, because it actually embarrassing how rude their phone manners are) - They believe bacon should be cooked until it's black - I always feel like I over pay. Don't get two sodas and bag of chips to cover up your horrible sandwich; that's going to cost you an extra $15. - If you do actually decide to order from this teeny - bopper ran establishment, save yourself the agonizing pain of waiting for your mediocre, mainly over cooked food and just go pick it up. This way you can ensure your own accuracy before leaving the parking lot, because I can promise you no one behind the counter in ensuring accuracy. - Their pizza sauce is heartburn / bodily discomfort waiting to happen. (Personally I have a pretty hard stomach and almost never suffer from heartburn or acid reflux. However, their pizza sauce is like lava to my stomach. First, the food is great. We get pizza from Bill's once and week and have never had a complaint. However, the customer service I received tonight was terrible. I went in to pick up my order and my debit card didn't work. I panicked and called the bank as well as checked my account online from my phone and all was fine. The employee, who said he was the manager, refused to try it again stating that it was there policy to never try a card for a second time because they get charged by the number of times they run a credit card. I had my husband call and pay over the phone (using the exact same account) and it worked fine. When I suggested that maybe it was the machine the "manager" was incredibly rude to me.
