I don't have super lofty requirements for a local pizza place. Can you serve me toppings with cheese, sauce, and crust? Perfect. George's fell apart at the crust part. For crust to be crust, it has to actually get cooked for a sufficient amount of time. Instead, when we wondered why our pizza was so soft and soggy and pulled it apart, we found dough so raw it could pass for melty cheese pull. The problem is that the pizza is still sub par. It's that cheap oil based cheese that tastes like cardboard. The sauce has all kinds of unnecessary spices that destroy the pizza flavor. The other Charlton pizza places are no better. These places are for those who have no idea what a pizza should taste like. I really wish the town had one good pizza shop that understands that you must use superior ingredients if you want a superior pizza. Yes, those ingredients cost a little more, but it makes a huge difference in taste. Stop feeding sub par food to our community. read more

I could not disagree more with the previous reviewer. She sounds like someone with an axe to grind. Georges pizza blows away any of the other 2 in town. We have ordered pizza twice and grinders another time. The pizza crust and sauce were fantastic. Hot, fast and delicious! Grinders were great. Steak and cheese, tuna melt and an Italian. All were top notch. George's is head and shoulders above Family Pizza and Charlton Pizza. Hoping they keep the same quality and service. You have our business for sure! Add another trip. We just recently discovered this gem and we love it. The tomato basil pizza is SO good and my kids love their small cheese with a couple toppings added. Recently we got delivery and the pizza arrived still hot and handled with care. Tonight we picked up the pizza and again they just did an amazing job on the food. If you dare mention that their overcharging you based on their own menu or website they get angry. And try to tell you their own website is for someplace else. Does Charlton really need another below average pizza joint? NO! So what did we get, another below average pizza joint. We were excited to give them a chance and try their pizza anyways. The pizza had very little flavor actually tasted like the box it came out of. Similar to most run of the mill pizza shops you find everywhere. The chicken parmesan grinder was very good. The chicken was nice and crispy and had good flavor. The BLT was loaded with bacon and was very tasty as well. It would have been nice if this was a different style of pizza like a wood fired pizza shop, but no, it's not. Something different in town would have been nice. We will most likely order grinders again, but not the pizza. read more

I love this place! I have had panini, the home made chips, curly fries, a Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap and I tried a bite of the pizza (that was for the rest of the fam) all in the past few weeks they were open. I think the pizza was very good, better than the other 2 pizza places in town according to family. The wrap, panini and homemade chips are DELICIOUS! Chicken is nicely grilled and flavored, the bacon is cut up into bite size pieces. They use REAL mozzarella and basil and those homemade chips are the best EVER had. Staff is VERY welcoming and pleasant. No complaints at all! I will be a weekly customer! Happy to have them in town! read more

We've tried George's a few times here recently and have enjoyed the food, be it their subs, pizza, or fries. Pizza does seem a bit pricey, but they don't skimp on the toppings and is filling enough to have leftovers for later. French fries are not soggy and limp unlike most places. A variety of subs gives everyone a chance to find what they like. Convenient location for us as it is literally 2 minutes from home. Friendly staff and food is always ready when promised. read more

First time I ordered , it took 2 1/2 hours for food to come. Second , we chose to pick it up. My hamburger was terrible. I ordered a bacon hamburger and fries. It literally was a dry bun, a dry burger and 2 pieces of fat that resembled bacon. I threw out the pieces of floppy fat and went through my fridge to doctor up my burger. My husband got fish and chips. They gave him a lime instead of lemon, it was dry and neither of us ate the fries. Weren't good at all. Gave them 2 chances. Won't be back! read more
