Was originally trying to get in to bobs burgers, but it was a ridiculous wait. So as I stood in the cold, trying to figure out where my boyfriend could get a beer and where there was food, Bill's Place showed up on Yelp and was rated pretty high. After reading a few comments and seeing they had plenty of beer and food, we headed down that way. We sat at the bar and the staff was really friendly. They even offered to give my boyfriend a sample of beer. The food was really good too! Made fresh and hot. Had a variety of burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Hidden Gem. Best burgers, staff, and atmosphere in Yakima.

First time coming. Came for trivia night Came in and got our first beers really fast! It's now and hour later. Our glasses have been empty for a while now. People around us are getting refills and food yet we sit here with our cute little menus trying to wave somebody down. Bigger groups are getting all the attention while we are left empty handed and hungry. So far I'm not impressed with the service. Food has yet to be determined. read more

We played here on a Tuesday. The staff spoiled us with food, beer, and friendliness. They have their own PA, but self-admittedly new at doing music, and it's slightly small. We tried Bills at the recommendation of Yelpers....we were not disappointed!! Great service, good selection of draft beers, full bar, an abundance of tv's and we loved dinner. We did a clash of cultures.. Edimames for appetizer followed by 1 each of their 4 varieties of tacos. The ground beef and the fish taco were both fine. The pulled pork and the spicy chicken tacos were SPECTACULAR. We enjoyed it so much, we are going back today to watch some NFL. Was told great things about this place, went in with my wife and some of her family and I was refused service due to my I'd not being the sideways version no problem I understand, proceeded to show them my military ID (Active duty USMC home on leave after deployment) and have not been able to get over to dmv, and was still refused service told I could stay and eat but not alcoholic beverages. Would give no stars if possible. read more

Bill's Place has good trivia on Thursday nights 7pm. Interesting hipster/hard rock vibe (there's usually music featuring double bass pedals or Skrillex blasting). Outdoor area usually smells like pot. They have pretty good bar food--the burgers are a good choice and the salads are delicious. They have a rotating selection of beers that's fun to try out. Only real complaints would be way too loud music and sometimes slow service. This bar has a good vibe to it though and doesn't feel too Yakima bro. read more

From the experience myself and a friend had here, this place is zero stars. We came here because the other place we wanted to go was closed. Upon walking in, we knew this place is a dive. I didn't know that or I wouldn't have gone. Our bartender was a girl in her early 20s, dark brown hair, with plenty of tattoos. Never smiled or showed any signs of happiness. Glared at us, acted like she had better things to do. My friend even said the she was not friendly at all. Don't know her name. Didn't ask. We asked for samples. Bartender gave a little attitude, but poured them. Both of us are very picky about our beer. Tried a few samples, really didn't like them, had a few more, then my friend finally ordered a beer. I wasn't sure what I wanted yet. I'm picky. If I'm spending $5 on a beer, then I want to make sure I get something I like. I'm not a cheap beer drinker. After that, my friend ordered a small beer, and we asked for another sample. The bartender said she couldn't give us anymore, that we had too many, we are getting free beer, and we have only ordered 2. That upset my friend who said we aren't cheap drunks, we have taste, and like to know what we are getting for our money. Why would we spend $5 on a SINGLE BEER if we don't like it? Bartender gets an attitude. She has given us too much already, and if we want any more, we need to buy pints. Uh, I don't think so. I also told her I've never had any bar or brewery refuse samples. She said their liquor license prohibits it. Uhhh no it doesn't. I've looked into the license. Nowhere does it say how many samples they can give. This girl just wanted us to start ordering beer like the locals. It doesn't work that way. Not everybody drinks PBR, Coors, and Bud Light. Then she points to the "we reserve right to refuse service" sign. Nice move. I told her, you know what, you are right, you can refuse us service and you just did. And I can take my money and business somewhere else. My friend even told her she was very rude. All we asked for was samples, and we did buy beer, it just wasn't enough for her. She definitely has the wrong job. No customer service or people skills. Denying service because a customer doesn't buy enough? Really? We will never return. Look at the "not recommended" reviews. 1 star. The attitude described is how we were treated as well. This place is a garbage dump dive for cheap drunks. Friendly, trying to be hip (and doing pretty well with it) in Yakima's slightly limited "fun without being too modern or too much of a dive" kind of a way. They are finding that slight edge to make it interesting with a eclectic mix of intellectuals and the working class with a tinge of hipster, but not enough to make you buy stock in Urban Outfitter. A jukebox with fresh tunes would be an obvious helpful addition. Either that or someone's iPod would go a long way to continue with upgrading the atmosphere as they are doing with other aspects of the place. The best trivia nights (Thursday's) I've seen anywhere. Mostly fun people, nonjudgmental relaxed bar with cheap food, nearly 20 taps and a great friendly accommodating staff. read more

Live music on the weekends, the best trivia night (Thursday) in town, big screen for sports, best selection of beer on tap in town, good drinks, friendly staff, and great bar food. Used to be a big fan of a bar close by, but Bill's place is where it's at. They have trivia on Thursdays and the drinks are seriously well priced. I'm always shocked at how low my tab is. They have outdoor water misters when it's hot, and they just installed an old school arcade machine with a ton of games (Galaga, Dig Dug, Space Invaders, 1942..the good stuff.) The staff are all awesome and it's overall a great time. Our new regular spot. read more
