    The BIG RIG Tow Truck

HWY 395S north of Bishop on the Sherwin Grade. Travelling 65MPH, downhill and gaining speed, in a JACKED UP Chevy one ton long-bed and a giant 3800# cabover camper atop. BAMMMMM! The rear left WHEEL stripped of all lug nuts, comes off, bounces down the freeway and we are SKIDDING on the rotors trying to maintain control! Oh what the HELL!. Long story short, its Friday before Memorial day, and with COVID, not only are shops closed, but those open, are closing early on this day. AAA does not cover a tow (its considered an RV Insurance). BILLS TOWING to the rescue! They arrived in a few hours with a long bed, put the truck in 4WD and (pulled it) onto the tow-bed. SKETCHY! We arrived safely at A&L Tire shop. Could have been fatal. The CHP (Officer Hudchuck) and everyone in town know Bill & Patty. $200-$275 an hour, but when you are stranded on the side of the freeway with big rigs zooming past on the downhill, its worth every penny. Thanks again Bill and Patty!

Cracked our transmission pan while we were camping up in the Inyo National Forest just West of Bishop. Local Sheriff gave us the number to Bill's Towing. Patty sent Bill up the mountain to diagnose our problem, and brought us down to Bishop. Bill went back up a few days later with our part to replace the pan and oil (bonus note: he researched on line on how to work on our new 2018 Grand Cherokee), then drove our "city" Jeep down the mountain to Bishop. Everytime we called, Patty was very patient and clear about when Bill could help us. They were wonderful to deal with during this stress of the ordeal and I highly recommend everyone carry their number when driving the forest trails around Bishop!!! They are true SIERRA ROCK STARS!

Bill is the type of man that myths and legends are based around. He has over 40 years of experience with standard and off road recovery and the stories and gear to prove it. I went up to Coyote Flats for an adventure filled weekend of camping and exploring. Our trip was going smoothly until we began to leave, which is where the real excitement began. As we were heading down from the flats we got stuck in a very sticky situation with my brand new 2017 4Runner TRD Off Road essentially dangling off a cliff. After getting helped off the mountain by the good folks at the Inyo Country Sheriff, we finally made it back to Bishop with my truck still stuck at the top of the mountain. Stressed out and tired from camping for 4 days, I wasn't sure who was going to help us get out of a bind. I eventually found Bill's towing through yelp and some google and got in contact with Patty who is one of the sweetest straight-shooters I've ever dealt with. She was very upfront and honest about recovering the vehicle and all the costs that would be incurred. I knew the situation was going to be expensive to solve. But I also knew that Bill was the man for the job. Sure enough, a couple hours later, Bill and his team of super heroes geared up some UTV's with recovery gear and we were headed back up the mountain to get my vehicle. I wasn't even worried about it getting recovered because my gut was telling me I was in good hands. Sure enough, they pulled my rig off the cliff without a problem and we made it back home safe and sound. If you find yourself in a similar situation, Bill is the only man for the job. I can't thank and recommend him and his team enough. I only wish I could have stuck around to hang out with these guys, hear more stories, and maybe go on another adventure.

I got a flat tire (no spare tire and can't be patched with the kit) about 8 miles away from Bishop…read morecenter of town and called my rental car company's roadside assistance (RSA) for a tow. So supposedly the RSA had called this place (only towing company in Bishop according to my google search) 9AM in the morning but maybe the quoted price was too high so RSA ended up asking another place in Sparks NV to come and get me - which didn't work because I waited for hours and then after a lot of back and forth that company decided to cancel around noon. I was pretty upset and called Billie's to ask if they are available and how much it would cost, where Billie's staff said $475 for the tow - now I understand why the RSA had originally asked and decided to try something else, that does sound pretty steep for a tow that's only 8 miles away from town and towing the car only 8 miles to town. LOL if you are the only place in town you can name whatever price you want. Anyways I was running out of options and really wanted to get the car to the town tire shop before they closed for the weekend so I called RSA again and insisted that they use Billie's instead of some unreliable place 100+ miles away and eventually they called Billie's and got someone to come in 1.5 hours. Once the tow driver arrived things moved really quickly and I got to the tire shop just 5 minutes before the technician was about to take off for the weekend. Driver was courteous and friendly.

"Tow company threatened to impound my trailer after I canceled--had to call the police."…read more Edit: The response from this business owner is comical. You tried to strong arm me after you lost the contract for the tow. When you lost the contract, you tried to manipulate the situation to try and still get paid. Making up BS that the store owner asked you to now tow the vehicle. You didn't humbly decide to avoid anything. Your contract was cancelled due to your arrogance. You were told you CAN NOT touch my trailer by the police department. Sadly your tactics failed. P.S. It sucks when there is proof to invalidate your false claims. Additional Edit: The Owner called me 19 times in a row to remove his name from the review. Stating it is illegal and that he would take other actions if I didn't comply. Again showing the level of harassment and bullying this business is capable of (Attached screenshots) My trailer broke down during a rental and roadside assigned Billie's High Sierra Transport. From the very first call, the owner, Billie Edmund Lozano, was defensive and rude, refusing to give me a straight ETA. After I canceled the tow, he began calling me back-to-back, threatening to impound my trailer and "ruin my life." When I told him I wouldn't be strong-armed into doing business with him, he suddenly changed his story--from being 3-4 hours away to claiming he was "already on site" so he could charge a show-up fee. It escalated further when he claimed the store owner where my trailer was parked had asked him to impound it and that I had 15 minutes to get there--knowing full well I was over 4 hours away. At that point, I had no choice but to call the police and file a report in case my trailer was stolen or damaged before another tow company arrived. This behavior was completely unprofessional, dishonest, and aggressive. Avoid this company at all costs. No customer should ever have to deal with threats and intimidation from a tow operator.
